Quote:So all necromancers are evil and the dead can't be raised to do good things? So, what other Hero MM powers would be cool? Robots, Ninjas, and Soldiers could stay, but Villains could keep Demons, Thugs, and Zombies... I'd say those aren't really suitable for Heroes.
So a bunch of thugs can't take back the streets? Like Frostfire?
So Desdemona isn't really a hero?
What about a blaster going Full Auto into a crowd of bad guys? Or setting them on fire? Or dosing them with radiation? How is that any more "good" than pulling a zombie out of the ground to rescue someone?
Look, the powers are not good or bad. It's all how you use them.
TL;DR: Old argument is old. -
Without loading the build into mids (because I don't have it at work): I would toss the Regenerative Tissue proc out the window. Try using that slot to get another +max HP bonus, and I can all but guarantee you will end up with more HP/second regen than you had with the proc.

I'm curious to know why you think this way, and if you have any examples of a set that should not be proliferated and any reasons for that.

Free form power selection was already tried once in the very beginning stages of the game. Just like some of our competition that did similar things, this leads to overpowered builds, and a whole lot of people with the same builds. In short, it doesn't give you more options, it ends up giving you less.
Echo what Spad said about you and Kheldians. The AT is complex, difficult and certainly not for people who like a simple button mashy game. Peacebringers have been shown to be sub par, but they are far from non-functioning. Warshades are some of the most powerful characters in the game. -
I just want a turban.

Joke answer: Defenders can't ever be useless. How else would we have pure heal0rz?
Real answer: Yes, defenders are useless, but so are tankers, scrappers, blasters, controllers, Kheldians, stalkers, brutes, dominators, corruptors, masterminds, and soldiers of arachnos. I only need good players on a team, not good characters. And good players are just ones that know how to have fun. -
I don't see this likely to change, though I would support it.
In the mean time, I suggest you add these channels to their own tab, so you don't have to tell them apart from other channels. -
You know, I wasn't going to bring it up, but yeah Warshades really fit the bill for darkness powers. By far, they are the most fun thing this game has to offer (in my opinion). If you're interested, I suggest you read the guide in my sig.
But if you're going for strict "Darkness" powers, then a Dark/Dark/Dark defender is an amazing thing.
Dark Armor is my favorite of any armor set. I've had great success with a Dark/Fire Tank, a Claws/Dark Brute, and now a Spines/Dark Stalker. I'm going to complete my tour with a Dual Blades/Dark Scrapper. -

Quote:Heck, you should get that victory if you forced your opponent to turn tail and run.Quote:Agree with the rest of your post but not this. If your opponent is able to evade you then you have not been victorious. Survival is something that should be rewarded, not discouraged.

I'm sorry, but please show me how we're being ignored. The way I see it, all evidence points to the contrary.
The costume creation itself is a huge boon to roleplayers. The variety of possible emotes is likewise. The inclusion of any additional costume pieces and emotes, which are developed and released to us pretty regularly, are things that are mostly valuable to roleplayers.
Not only that, there is the fact that all of our gear has absolutely no cosmetic effect. All the high end IOs you want will not impact your character's appearance. You do not have to sacrifice concept for functionality as you do in so many other games. There really is no customization in a game where there is a clear top end gear and everybody wears it.
Issue 16 was power customization, or have we forgot entirely about that? This was an enormous undertaking by the development staff which gave the largest payoff to roleplayers.
Again I ask, how are we being ignored? -
Came in here to let you know that Dark Armor doesn't suppress its stealth and can still hold aggro, was pleasantly surprised to find that you only meant the invisible costume effect, then read this comment and spewed Mountain Dew all over my monitor, keyboard, desk clock, and now unfriendly coworker..

Holy crap, I cannot believe I didn't think to write something about this. There are certainly times where a tank's job may be to slow down the enemies while the team gets away, even if the tank dies as a result.

Quote:You'll get some mixed feedback on that. I'll do my best to give you both sides. As an aside, is resistance considered to be superior or inferior to def?
On the cheap side of things, defense based sets are far superior. With some minor investment, either in extra powers or sets, it is possible to push defense to the "softcap" rather easily. The performance difference between 35% defense and 45% defense is phenomenal. In fact, the last 5% of defense does as much for you as the first 40%. Please read the guide on defense in my signature for a more thorough explanation.
When you get to more expensive builds, it becomes more beneficial to start with a heavy resistance set and layer on defense with set bonuses. The truth is that "layered mitigation is king," and the problem is that it is very hard to add resistance to a defense set, but much easier to add defense to a resistance set. When you also get the third layer of healing/regeneration, you become capable of amazing things. For that, check the Dark Armor Sucks link, also in my signature. -

With all the respect you deserve, **** you. No. My character is my character. This bull manure shoehorning of concepts is completely not acceptable. If Cole somehow had a strangle hold on magic powers and was preventing them from manifesting in the normal population, we should have known about it.
It's a very distasteful retcon that will likely be ignored by anyone with any emotional investment in a magic based praetorian character. -

Quote:Better than me. I think I'm 0/60 asking about Kheldian customization, balance concerns, or any attention at all.I'm slipping... only managed to get 3 questions answered this time.
There was more than myself asking about it too. They flat out ignored everything. I know I heard one of them (I think it was Beasty) mumble "Some people are asking about Kheldians," then chuckle, and move right on to something else. -
Quote:Never claimed it to be such, but I did mean it as a counterpoint to FloatingFatMan's waving about of an incorrect absolute....it is not the remedy to every issue, and shouldn't be waved in our faces as "Why are you complaining, you have this".
Hey, I don't like the gating of these emotes either, but I'm not going to stand by to such a ludicrous statement that started this discourse.
