I think I would need to spend $30 to get all the packs I'm missing.
Buying all the pieces individually will cost more than the equivalent of $30.
But since I only use male characters, I will most likely be spending much less on only the things I will use when Freedom comes.
I'm going to love this. -
Quote:Yes, that was done by Cabdirmge Unevsitiry.Typos happen. Also, I didn't even notice it until you pointed it out. Brains are odd like that. Wasn't there a study done recently that showed that people would automatically put the letters in the right order when they saw them, anyways, as long as the first and last letter were correct?

The only problem I see with it is that it's optional, and not likely to be used enough to make an impact.
There has to be a mandatory way. Perhaps level 50s automagically turn this effect on. It can be like hitting the influence cap of 2 billion in that your defeats still count towards the influence badges.
I also say that one way to delete a bit more influence is to change the inf : prestige ratio into something more appetizing. If I got more prestige for my inf, I'd actually be willing to burn the influence. Instead, I don't burn any and just farm missions to earn prestige, generating even more craptons of influence. -
As bad as this sounds, I really hope he/she has a retort for you, Arcana.
-
To be fair, I never said it was a particularly good idea. Just that it would stop influence from being generated as fast as it is.
-
I'd just like to make a comment about a trend I've seen in this thread.
Masterminds seem to be either near the top or the very bottom of everyone's lists. No middle ground. Love 'em or hate 'em. -
I highly doubt it. Bots/Traps can stack -60% resist rather trivially, as well as dish out a whopping -1000% regeneration. Don't forget that any of the +recharge granted by /Time cannot affect the henchmen.
-
A slightly more drastic solution:
Completely cut influence gain for anybody with more than 100,000 on their character.
No caveats, no exclusions. If you have 100,000 inf, you don't generate any more from mobs. Earn it through drops and the market. -
Well, mine's active. But it's a solo group.
I've also coalitioned with quite a few active groups, but those are more RP groups. -
Quote:Most of the time they are not necessary because my Bots/Traps can soak an alpha without concern. One last question, how much do you all use Seeker Drones?
-Dmg - Acc (+Disorient) seems pretty good and potentially good for soaking alphas. Other thoughts?
They become invaluable against AVs and GMs and the like because of the -damage. -
Quote:Well, your attitude certainly isn't helping.Yes, I admit, I read into it as there is typically so much snark on some of the forums I just expected it. The hints were there, and figured it was intentional.
Right here you've admitted to confirmation bias, and you started this thread with a question that had a "don't give me the right answer" clause.
If you're getting a lot of snark from all over the boards, I'd suggest looking at the common denominator. -
Quote:Yeah.Anyone have a build for one of these that can do it all in the game?
Pick some powers and Provoke, add some slots, then put some SOs in the slots.
Now go solo a GM.
EDIT: Serious answer: Here's my build. -
I have given the guide a minor update to include information on incarnate powers.
-
Half right. I saw your post before I made mine, but it didn't change my answer. I'd have mentioned WS, except I don't see any WS soloing Giant Monsters without incarnate powers. When it comes to soloing big game, I wouldn't count it an accomplishment with the use of those powers.

Quote:Thanks for the update. The only predicted upset (according to my odds), then, is your matchup, Posi.ESPN was kind enough to project points for the first week's games for us... so here are what the "experts" think our teams will do.
(Teams on the same line are playing against each other that week. No ties are possible, home team wins).
I know I put you down on the ranking, but you've got the most bets so far. Posi the dark horse? Who knows?
Bets are still open for the next two weeks, guys. Get in on the fun. -

For the one millionth time because you can't search: Bots/Traps.
-
There is no bug, because this is what I do as well. When I tell my pets to attack, I do nothing for their stance. Yes, they can attack while in defensive stance, but you will not benefit from the damage sharing of bodyguard mode.

Gah, I can't wait any longer just take my money and launch the game!

Quote:Damn, have I been missing my +rep button lately.OP: "Hey, I looked outside and the sky looks blue. Is it really as blue as it looks?"
Bunch of Posters: "Well, that depends on a lot of things. It's generally black at night. Clouds can give it shades of gray. At sunset or sunrise, it might take on beautiful oranges, yellows, purples, and other colors. It's brown during a dust storm or sand storm. And in a sense, the sky is actually transparent, though that may not make much difference for the purpose of this discussion."
mauk2: "The sky is blue. This is simple fact."
Bunch of Posters: "Have you looked outside at night? Does that look blue to you?"
mauk2: "Since when does 'color' mean 'only at night'? Reading comprehension much?"
Bunch of Posters: "Seriously? WE'RE the ones with the reading comprehension problem? <reiterate what has been said>"
mauk2: "Yes, seriously. Just because this forum has some ridiculous obsession with NIGHT NIGHT NIGHT does not mean that night is the only time you can look up at the sky. You can say the sky ain't blue all you want: It still is." -
Quote:What they said.I will /sign this every time it comes up.
BTW, OP, it comes up at least once a month, so you may have people come in and say "search us your friend" because this is a topic that recurs so frequently. -

Quote:I think you've misunderstood. Brutes and Scrappers get the same values for everything survival related with the exception of maximum HP. A power that grants 30% resistance to a Brute will grant the same 30% resistance to a Scrapper. Likewise with defense. regeneration and I believe healing values.Since brute's have stronger defense, would a brute thats has regen, regenerate at a faster rate than a scrapper that is regen?
One notable difference is that regeneration is expressed as a percentage that works off of maximum HP value. A Brute will regenerate more health over time simply because they regenerate a percentage of that health.
The other notable difference is the resistance cap is different for both ATs. Brutes can reach 90% resistance while Scrappers top out at 75%. The difference is quite large when it comes to mitigation, but those high resistance values are not easily reached. Electric Armor can reach that for energy damage, Fiery Aura for fire damage, and Invulnerability for most types while using Unstoppable.
In this very limited case, I believe the brute will be doing more damage, provided he can keep his Fury. Scrappers do not need their critical hits to out damage Brutes, mind you. Their base damage starts higher.
