Like people have said, there are some perspective errors, but that being said, the picture shows a genuine flair and a quite distinctive style.
Keep it going, Blackdove and post some more pics
Oh, and I like the pic enormously -
Excellent work, makes me a tad jealous that I can't use stuff like that.
10 and a bit out of 10 -
oh, this made me laugh, just picture a character walking up to you in game and holding a 10 card.
Great song -
Actually, Blackdove, I used both, I coloured them with felt pens then scanned them and used Photoshop to touch them up.
Glad you liked em -
First off, Welcome to CoH, hope you enjoy your time here.

Welcome to CoH
As most people have pointed out the server populations are very much even so you won't be at a disadvantage by choosing either.
The union forum does have more posts simple becuase of 2 threads, the Galaxy Girl thread (which is for the RP'ers) and a thread called Rangers AWAY! which is basically were a section of the union community, which we call ourselves the 1AT cos its a selection of SGs where all members are 1 archetype only, used to post. We now have our own forums (see sig) though so many of the members no longer visit here that often :P
Anyway hope you enjoy your time here. If you choose union then perhaps we will meet sometime

Secondly, I think Tufty says it all, and my advice is always trust someone with an Emu for an avatar -
Thanks Swissy, just had a quick look at your galleries.
You have a good style, particularly liked F Team -
As some other people have posted their drawings (high quality work, I might add) I thought I'd do the same.
Here are some pictures of characters I used in a classic Marvel Superheroes 1960's campaign I ran.
And yes, the first one is Flash Thompson after being bitten by THAT spider.

Very good work, reminds me of the marvel artists I grew up with, and it shows in your work that you enjoyed drawing them

And another budding artist, I have to say, your work shows good potential, you already captured the emotion you're after in your drawings, keep drawing -
Whatever style you prefer, the Atta story is excellent.
My only complaint is that its over now.
Be looking forward to your next one -
Bluestrike would have been there for the boutique's opening and for the party, had not college and private life matters kept her away
-
Excellent work, maybe you should get together with one of the artists on the forum and have a Shimmery comic?
-
Great, another installment. Shimmer, your style and content are excellent.
I like the way you've described the drugs operation, and the way it affects trolls. Brilliant
I am looking forward to the next part -

You DO realise at the very least Ellie, and probably the others, will browbeat Diurne untill she DOES relax and enjoy herself, instead of yet more training?
[/ QUOTE ]
But that's a day off ! She even didn't bring her bow !
[/ QUOTE ]
Diurne will enjoy herself or be forced to go to a county fair and have fun! -
and of course mud bath fights could ensue, hehe
-
around 9 would be best for me. And Carol will be soaking up the spa, really enjoying the massages, mud baths and being pampered and treated like a princess for the day.
And yes, eyeing up the male staff IS obligatory

I'd say play up culture, play down politics. More Mother Russia, less Party. Place of music, of art, of architecture. A proud people who hail from a country that is somewhat inhospitable in several parts. Although I'd say you could key into the sense of decayed empire a bit. Ignoring communism and such, Russia was once a great world power, now it's a country in debt and trying to grope its way forward.
Just thematic ideas.
[/ QUOTE ]
Thats pretty much how marvel portrayed russia, even during the cold war. there were heroes from russia and noble enemies too.
Not all comic book companies portrayed russia as total bad guys, although the vast majority did.
So I've gone and made an ice tanker named,'originally', Siberia.
as to a name for this SG, The People's Guardians, or Guardians of Honour? -
Well, you got the Jack of Spades. costume designed to look like a classic jack kirby design.
-
My own experience with being hit on whilst playing a female character vary with the character, some have been offended, one was embarrassed and at least two were flattered.
My personal feelings were along the lines of 'hey, its a game' and nothing else, really.
But when I play the character, I try to emphathise with how the character would feel in a given situation and play their emotions rather than my own.
I try and establish a base personality for my characters and work from that. It seems to help me, hope it helps you -
Great edition, well written articles too. Pity about Supersheep. I and the rest of his legions of fans wait with baited breath for his return.

Eventually, upon reaching lvl 50, I had intended to RP his strength had increased exponentially allowing him to lift with effort roughly 40 tons.
[/ QUOTE ]
hmm, I would say that most superstrength characters would be able to bring to bear a force of about 75 tons.
I'm taking this from Marvel. Spidey is able to bring a force of up to 40 tons to bear, 50 if he overexerts himself.
From what I have seen of SS tankers, I'd say that they seem to be on a par with the thing and as such are capable of bringing a force of 75 tons to bear, maybe a little more.
Only a guideline, but I hope it helps. -

p.s. for me for some one to be evil they have to be sane, and do that thing anyway becuase they think it was the rightthing to do
[/ QUOTE ]
Thats similar to my view on what makes someone evil, except that an evil person doesn't care if what he does is the right or wrong thing to do, so long as it suits his purpose at that time. Well, it's my view anyway
