Badges are fun if I get them along the way, though I don't usually go out of my way for them.
I don't really PvP coz I'm not very good at it.
And I primarily use the AE for filming.
So, yeah, I'm a PvE gal. Not to diss those who do actively pursue AE, PvP, or Badging, whether consecutively or concurrently.

My only problem with the video you linked to in this thread was the overdone comedic formula, not the "technical" aspects of it. Your videos are still far superior than anything I or many other players are capable of producing, and that's something to be proud of.

Drat, neither of my questions were answered.
(Short versions - 1: if for some reason the CoP trial doesn't make it back in, can we at least get its components for use in the MA? 2: With the new mechanics and storyline options available in the I-17 content, will the older stuff get the overhaul it badly needs?)

I thought Dark_Respite's video was pretty good for a fanvid, though I do have to admit I've seen so many jokes using the "Mastercard formula" that it's become a bit stale.
Though, when it comes to fanvids, I'll admit that I'm probably spoiled by Nico Nico Douga. When you have people making videos like this or (if you've got a fast connection and an HD monitor on your computer) this, it kind of hard for other fan videos to measure up.
I do my best with what I've got. Hell, my vids are totally inferior against the ones done by Aralcox, and that's still staying in the COH game engine. You start adding in original animation and/or advanced software and I'm not even a blip on the radar.

Yeah, I record on FRAPS at full-size, approx 30FPS, on my 1680x1050 screen, then import the files into Sony Vegas Movie Studio and save it as a high quality WMV (I customized my settings). This then allows me to upload to YouTube and STILL get decent resolution on there.

Personally, I think that no matter what pay decrease Posi took when he went from Lead Developer to End-Game Content Designer or whatever, the loss of pay is mitigated by him being able to laugh at War Witch and say, "Hey, that's now YOUR hassle to deal with!"

Our base designer was smart. Entrance is in the center, with the med bay, teleporter bay, and salvage bays off the entrance and clearly visible.

The trick is, in addition to using FRAPS/VDub is to then put it into a video editing app such as Sony Vegas Movie Studio, Windows Movie Maker, Adobe Premiere, etc. Then when you're done editing, save the finished product as a WMV.
For myself, I tend to skip using VirtualDub and go straight from FRAPS footage into SVMS, then render it as a WMV, and on average, even at high quality, my videos run about 50-150MB (far more manageable).

Out of respect for you, Dr. Aeon, I have to tell you the truth. Black Scorpion is using you. You have access to uber-spiffy tech that he doesn't. And he's even willing to put up with Ghost Widow, Captain Mako, and Scirocco laughing at him for hanging around in an AE building to have access to your stuff.
Besides, the man is a walking security risk. Do you have ANY idea how many times he's lost the portable drive with his tech secrets on it? I have retrieved it no less than nineteen times. To that end, I suggest welding the thing to his armor.
And you just KNOW that Silver Mantis is going to come breezing in there at some point. Of course, she's going to be USELESS for helping you test the new ally experience fix, because she wants every-bloody-living-thing in the mission to beat the living daylights out of her.
