    My Blaster is finishing up a perma-hasten build, so when I say diminishing returns for recharge I am referring to the recharge of powers not getting significantly shorter by adding more recharge to the build.

    It has been pointed out that there is no reason you can't make multiple, so having a Cariac Core Paragon for solo, and a Musculature Paragon (not sure which branch yet) for teaming seems like a good plan for me.

    Alpha Slot

    With the information here, I was wondering what people are planning.

    I have a high recharge build for my Fire/Elec, so the Spiritual Tree is wasted due to the diminishing returns of recharge. I can make a case to slot the Cardiac, Musculature, or Nerve trees, so it's not looking like an easy decision.
  4. Forgot to mention that both builds are designed for I19. The 3 slots in rest are for stamina: perf. Shifter end mod, chance for +end, and end mod/rech (or end mod/acc).
  5. So I have a cheap build, and more of a final goal build to show. I won't claim either is perfect, but it's pretty good.

  8. Every build makes some sacrifices. To get the defense you have I notice that you sacrifice endurance sustainability. My build doesn't need power sink unless I'm fighting end draining mobs or I just used Inferno. I also have hold/knockback protection from acro.

    My build goal was offense, and since +dam bonuses aren't exactly worth it, I went for rechrage. It netted me Inferno on a 96 sec recharge. On an ITF the other day I actually had Inferno up for every ambush in the cyst crystal mission, and that was FUN.

    I need to recreate my I19 build for myself and to show my take on Fire/Elec.

    I want to make a traps corr, but I can't decide on a primary. Fire/ and Ice/ are out as I've used both of those too many times already. I'm curious what others think on this.
  14. Turbo, you talk about +def being a common sight end game... but I don't see it. I may be in the minority of the forums for blaster builds, but as many people have said, forum builds are a small fraction of what you see in-game. In game I find that on teams there isn't all that much +def going around without an FF or cold.
    I am slowly completing my blaster's final IO build which will actually have less than 10% def to any position, so FF is a great boon for me.
  15. I haven't had much trouble getting the steadfast unique, altho it did drop for a couple of my characters. The big reason I went Maneuvers over Weave is that with TT:Maneuvers and Maneuvers, you give a whole lot of defense to others if you team. # slotting the defensive powers was partially out of necessity (lack of other places to put slots). Bane's seem to have a lack of 5-6 slot powers so I see lots of *extra* slots in those builds before IO sets.
  16. This build took me maybe 2 minutes, and I have better Defenses across the board, and only slightly worse (0.04 per sec) end use. I actually found myself wasting slots at the end because I had nowhere worthwhile to put them.

  17. The problem I see in your build is the DPS. I was hoping to run one of the top claws attack chains so that my ST DPS was as high as I could get it. Most of what I've seen in terms of advice on /Fire was to shoot for recharge.

    I could work focus in my build and slot it well, it would just cost me a little defence that I could get back with I19.

  21. With only one power change, I got you up to 33% ranged defense. While hoverblasting, you should have great survivability. As a side effect, you have a lot of end recovery. Personally I might drop recall friend and teleport to pick up hasten, and use fly as my travel power. Other that the LOTG +rech pieces, it seems to be fairly cheap.

    By no means is this build the best it can be. I am sure others could do better, but I wanted to see what I could pull of with minimal power changes.

  22. I can see some possible improvements, but I have 2 questions first. Do you hover blast primarily? Do you have a large or small budget?
  23. Forgot about that. The effects tab of power infor shows you get half the bonus supressed, so your original numbers seem good.
  24. Unless my Mids is off, which could be the case, I'm showing your defenses at 52.1%, 53.7%, and 51.5% for melee/ranged/AOE respectively. In fact you could turn off maneuvers and still be over the soft cap.

    If that is indeed true, I would the assistance of the numbers people to max out your DPS
  25. Personally, I don't see the point in chasing +dam set bonuses. I have a fire/elec/flame blaster myself that is chasing permahasten, which comes with some insane recharge times on big hitting powers. I'm doing that because I have no intention of softcapping him to solo, since I prefer to team with him. For reference I'll show you his build.
