Lvl 32 thugs/ff here as I have done/dark to 50 before but agree very strong set. I have also taken a prevoius incarnation of this mm to 20 with /poison.
I obviously have not played /dark at 32 post and can imagine fluffy would be great, however I am currently feeling really uber. The damage output from thugs is awesome they take down amber minions on relentless in seconds and red leuteinents in maybe 6-8 secs. Defence wise I am very happy-taken leadership pool to complement enforcers and IF fully bubbled incoming fire either misses or does little damage. Personal ff is a boon and I can just run to end of a np mish for example before spawning to increase turnover time and xp. NOTHING except purple heros has been a problem so far. Force push acts with the extensive kb of the bruiser and most bosses havce troble staying on there feet.
I tested lvl 40 thug/ff, thug/dark and thug/traps at the RV pvp event on the test server. My play stle did not get on with any except /ff which was very sucessful as I perfer to keep jumping in any pvp enviroment and mobility is only offered with /ff imho. Plus u can remove ("jail") annoying enemy players from the equation with /FF of course. In pVE very team friendly-I have bubble binds for my team which is always appreciated. So far this is the most fun I have had on cox

Loving my 31 thugs/ff at the moment as so easy to level. Gaming solo on relentless at moment with considerable ease. ONLY time when I have to drop level is for hero or EB as no debuff of course and not damaging them quickly enough on relentless-will be interesting to see post 32 if any difference. I love hanging back and surveying the whole scene plus if a team wipe looks likely personal ff is awesome
especially now I have aid self.
PS I done dark miasma (see sig below) but really fancy thug/poison-something else to consider perhaps -
Fantastic first hami raid for me-Clear instructions and guide pre raid by samuri. On that note THANKS FOR GREAT ORGANISATION by leaders-pre and during raid (plus crowd control of irrate blasters lol)

Thought I would post this build on here. Its a respec for a 50 troller attended for pvp play in RV. Hopefully the pvp bit explains the judicious use of acc enhancements especially in singy. Its a very offensive build (or well thats the concept) with the potential I hope for decent damage. Perhaps the most contentious issue for me is what epic to go for-fire is nice for the largely unresisted damage and great shield (would give 40% to fire with steamy mist). I think consume for a non melee character is potentially life threatening but end recovery may be an issue with a /storm. On this note primal may be better. Well I will hopefully see what you guys think. The concept is damage dealing as well as control hence I went with fire. Although it is not acknowledged to be a good pvp epic-could ICE be useful. A strong single target attack that slows (complements set) and hibernate which in the setting of pvp could also be very useful (for 30 secs at least).
Any experience of epics in pvp welcome.

Firstly miss, hehe-thats pretty much like my build except that I got rid of dark consumption for reasons stated on previous post-but I agree u do keep going and going
I fitted in tough/boxing in the build instead of this and burn. And as hot head says the resistance stacks and is of great help. So why I am thinking of respecing to a aid other/AID SELF build? Well the reasons are 3 fold.
No cap on regen unlike resistance/healing flames is still IMO the thing that saves my [censored] more than any other and works against all damage types not just S/L and so could do with another.Yet one more toggle running that can be dropped-while aid self is of course a clicky (very useful when all your toggles do drop lol)
And yep agree with hothead if u are taking midnight grasp damage or debuffs than all thos immobilise SOs. I still think tof is the way to go for single target control however.

Hehe-Forget final comment thought this was a new build not a respec.Though still feel /elec looks cooler.
Also hurdle instead of swift to stack with leaping may be better idea.

Midnight grasp I agree is great damage but would have tof instead. The uses of a single target immobilise are limited IMO when you think dark/fires like us are PvE monsters (IMO lol). I fitted in fiery embrace to increase soul drains damage (used straight after)-then it boosts burning aura and consumes damage.
Future plan full fury plus mobs = fiery embrace-mass immobilise (PP)-and then BURN (cue evil laughter with following nerf bat)
Hope this gives u some ideas-but at the end of the day each to there own -
Hi-
(1) As stated get rid of damage and replace with end reducers, acc and -acc debuffs. FURY is the answer to damage as filth says.
(2) I would get stamina ASAP. I played from 24 to 34 as stamina less build. It is hard going although possible. If it suits your play style fair enough but I found end was a major problem. I dropped dark consumption (misses alot IMO and needs a mobs very close) and kept consume. I now hardly have any downtime which is all the better for fury and smashing.
(3) Would get tof into the build useful for those pesky bosses-I am adding it to my build again despite playing through the 30s without it. But not only good for bosses-good for pvp to
(4) Consider the benefits of aid self over tough. I typically find healing flames is great for survivability-another regen power that works against all damage (unlike tough) may be beneficial.
As a final thought if you wait to I7 could do a very similar build with dark/elec which would be very similar but will I think look cooler-just a thought

Just started the 4th. Only at 12 so no expert, but can confirm great fun. Is heavy on end though. But imps and lightening storm if not FTW will be a good laugh and there is definately synergy between the sets. Hopefully she will be good at pvp to.

[/ QUOTE ]CoF is AoE control, which, while increasing your survivability, reverely limits your fury generation. ToF, on the other hand, is damn good ST mez and debuff, great for tough bosses/EB's/AV's, and doesn't really affect your fury.

Hi again-just read this- of course Max is right here (another quote lol) and I thought I would clarify my position. As I said I used it this way in the early game and will respec it back for pvp. However I now just click fiery embrace for damage build up now then just run into a group(relentless mishs-and solo) with a boss and soul drain it. I have burning aura on and attack the boss. I honestly find survivability is generally not a problem, if it is have plenty of time to escape lol.Generally by the time I have taken the boss out the minions have had lots of aoe love and are no longer a problem. Fury is reached very quickly in this scenario of course which makes it all the more easier.
Shadow maul I find essential and the cone is incredibly useful (I think 5 minions is my record). Plus it easily outperforms the other attacks in terms of damage when reveiwed on hero stats.

Hi have a dark/fire brute which I imagine will play very much like a dark/elec from the power sets.
This is my advice from my build which is evil in PvE but not so good in PvP (may be better now toggle dropping nerfed).
Firstly I have played 10 hard lvls as a stamina less build with Twisted. Although possible it makes it hard work and believe me my down time now I have respeced to stamina and one end recovery power (consume) is much better, which of course is better for fury. I have lost dark consumption because I found it missed lots and required a tight mob around you for best effect-If scattered slightly consume is much more reliable for end recovery as it affects a greater area.
In terms of my attack chain shadow maul is essential and my big hitter, I also fill it with siphon life. Before u laugh it actually does reasonable damage, heals u and debuffs the acc of the target nicely. I have also filled it with boxing and I would personally advise u to get tough.
I wouldnt bother with taunt as others have already said-your a brute not a tank-you have loads of taunts ie your attack chain and the elec version of burning aura gets a mobs attention lol and is essential. Remember all that dot damage adds up and I find that over the course of a game burning aura does more damage than anything even shadow maul.The elec version will I imagine be the same.
In terms of tof and midnight grasp-if pvp build think tof would be good as fear is poorly resisted but as a PvE power I respeced out as not that useful in the late game. I did find it useful initially for the boss/leu in a group. Midnight grasp I might however take again-it is actually a high damaging single target dot attack although it is not sold as one.
In terms of travel I would go with the leaping pool with both dark/fire and dark/elec. Plus with /elec I would think about the medicine pool personally as u do not have a dependable heal like healing flames from /fire.
Can't think of any other advice at present but if I do will post.

Hi guys managed to test both whirlwind and orbiting debt in combo and alone against an AS last night on test (kindly supplied by kavaki-cheers mate). Sadly all failed to interrupt AS and so cannot advise either in this context. 2 acc SOs in orbiting debt for your info.

Having hasten post stamina with this build does make sense, and getting above the mob now I have played these sets a few more lvls (lvl 7 mega woot lol)definately makes sense-I think I will change to hover at 8 and fly at 14.

Just in terms of slotting i may have been overzealous with the end reds but I am just aware that fire/storm is a end hungry pairing. Even with stamina I am slightly worried about leadership toggles combined with the normal end requirements.I will have no end recovery as /kin would for example.
As you guessed okt have stuck in leadership to decrease misses. In PvE I would drop down to 1 acc but if I want to take this toon into pvp areas won't I still require 2 or can I get away with it? -
HI, Firstly thanks to okton for recruiting my new alt to the overlords. As a noob controller thought it would be good idea to post a build and get some advice.
Love my speed hence superspeed and useful with steamy mist. Have tried to avoid stormy kb (have to choose gale) but couldn't resist lightening storm with imps lol. Would like the build to be PvE at present but with some ability to perform if entering a pvp area.

Thank you for that-Not sure if there is any anti AS solution for me
. I will try the warshade powers and whirlwind on test with a friends stalker and see if I can prevent it at least most of the time. If I find any combo that is outstanding I will post.

Hi heard today in game that whirlwind prevents AS strikes. I am aware it is nerfed. Therefore is this true. I am trying to build some sort of AS prevention into my warshade and so far have only thought about orbiting death and inky aspect as an option-both of which are not perfect IMO.

LOL-Yep agreed somedays you feel uber (even pre 38 lol) and others its face plant time. Examples for me would have to include when gravity well failed to hold a void and a mob manages to hold/disorientate me before I can hit dwarf or neb form.He he got to laugh -

Inky aspect will disorient squishies.
However the tick on both debt and inky aspect seem to be spaced enough for it to miss hitting a lot of the time between ticks.

Unlike PVE you dont get full invis with steatlh cloak and ss runningAnd agree with you about orbiting death-trying it on test and the tics are very slow. I think a well timed AS will get through
. Have yet to try it with an actual stalker, so fingers crossed.

Hi, have just been playing with a build WITHOUT stamina but tactics. Assuming hero planner is right slotted with end reds in key toggles it should be ok-otherwise will need to find a body in human ASAP. Here it is-say if you think its gimped. No nuke as hopefully post dark extraction and eclipse will be destructive enough
Note should be extra damage instead of recharge in dark extraction and extra acc instead of heal in dwarf drain.

Hi again-Just to answer the second part of your question-anyone can see u in shadow cloak if close enough as just stealth. Unfortunately doesnt stack with the pool unlike hide
.In addition in the name of "science" have been in sirens with a very good friend who has a lvl 40 em/regen stalker (would have to be very good). He could easily see me as he has + perception to I believe. And finally it takes 2 AS to take u down to minimal health in dwarf form - we tried it lol-time enough to tp away.
