1. Hard to say, it depends on who you are fighting against. Both are really good. Up to playstile really
2.I'd deffo say elec/. Mainly because end draining forces foes to use only brawl, and its nuke is ranged and not DoT, like ice's one.
3. Ice will outdamage elec mainly in ST attacks, AoEs are quite similar. Ice's nuke deals more damage overall, but in DoT ticks, while elec's nuke is ranged and deals all the dmg in one hit. Besides elec's nuke also drains end.
4. Deffo, even if you go the full blapper way -
Empathy heavy is quite useful itself for me at highest levels too, tho

Ermm but having AoE's doesn't imply you can't be really strong vs AVs (in fact, I think most of the people will concur in that it's the best set vs them). I've got flash, EM pulse and Spectral wounds on my PvE build, but I also have PA, deceive, blind, RI, EF, LR, the epic blast, power boost, conserve power, the epic armor, AM, phantasm and radiant aura (and yes, I use them all when vs AVs while I try to keep my sanity). Nah pretty easy tbh, and enough to solo the couple of RV AVs with a heavy

Still AoEs make it soooooo much better, the three of them are a must for PvE imo

Clear mind has a fairly quick recharge so I don't think it's that one. The other two single target buffs you get (Adrenalin boost and Fortitude) have long-ish recharges, adrenalin boost being the longest...
Both are fab buffs tho...

Hehe when the baddie is dead. Nevertheless you got to love it when vs. an AV and decoys are recharging. He's just as good as the army to keep the aggro on him.
And yeah I guess storm makes aggro management much harder than with rad. Maybe the unwanted aggro comes from that -
Besides Ill/rad has two AoE holds (flashto make up and EM pulse) to control the odd extra aggro from PA (people keep saying they can attract unwanted aggro, although that has never happenned to me that I can recall) and Spectral Terror, an AoE fear (combined with Lingering Rad. it's like a 3rd AoE hold tho). Add to that Radiation Infection to keep yourself and your team safe in the middle of a mob, and you will find why I got my first debt badge at lv50.

I'm of a different opinion, i think repel is a great power in PvP now PvE... Lets say i've only toggled it on ocne.. for a laugh. I've got a high lvl Kin that i mess about with in PvP zones and arena a bit.
Repel workjs really well when players root for attacks or scrappers/tanks want to stand and throw with you.

You needn't repel to move away from themand besides, you will want to be close to them for heals/buffs too. Having a tank or a scrappie in melee shouldn't be much of a problem unless they mez, and repel wouldn't be much of a help in that case either. So, apart of draining your end and pushing away foes you would like to heal/buff from, I see no use for repel

I beg to differ there. What will happen if someone is def based and you can't buff your speed off them? You will have a hard time vs /sr scrappers and stalkers, ice tankers, rad defenders and controllers, forcefield defenders and controllers... and so on -

Nah, all empath powers are quite nice. If you want to be a pure empath, I wouldn't skip any of them. Circumstances will say if your team needs you mainly to heal (low levels mainly) or to buff (more commonly later on), when you'll have time to use some of your blasts too, tho. -

Nah it means jumping around hitting and kiting till the heavy is down to face its owner when you can't be one-shot... although it usually ends up with owner running away tho
(you know, most people think RV is not a PvP zone, but a throw the heavy and stay safe one)
P.S.I've seen an invul/mace soloing them too -

Stealth is really necessary imo. Yes you could do that, but chances are that without stealth you can't get closer than a mile away from the other guys before you are chased and ganked

Repel sucks, and that goes for pve and for pvp too. I see a sensible lack of recharges on your buffs. AoEs no good for PvP . Psi epics is ok, but primal epics are the best.
All in all, this is the way I'd play a mind/kin in PvP (but why /kin ?

Playing in both servers, defiant has more PvP action by far in the arena, but I agree with LW, both suck really. About the zones, some periodes one, some the other, no one has the upper hand there imo

A good controller could two or three shot a squishy in a 1v1 situation as soon as Containment was set up. And with the right slotting, it's pretty easy to burn 20 BF's in 10 minutes.
And yes, a Stalker can do that, but they're a high damage AT designed to do huge burst damage. Controllers are not, never were, the APP blasts are to round things off and the damage was a tad too high as it was above a Blaster's (before containment applied too), but it didn't need nuking this badly.

Errm, with my Illu/Rad, which is afaik the controller combo that deals more dmg in a duel, I need 6 hits to take down another controller (1 hold and 5 attacks, alternating spectral wounds and epic blast). That, with EF on, and given the controller doesn't have mez protection or breakies.
Well certain blasters can 2 shot foes in pvp, tanks can 2 shot them too, scrappers can 2 shot them too... so I really don't understand what is the 'trollers APPs damage was overpowered' thingie, at least not for PvP.
About the holds mag, well, I don't know what number crunching sites say, but I do know a controller needs 1 hold to effectively hold a minion or an lt, and 2 holds unless critic to effectively hold a boss... does a blaster. Yet blasters can get up to 4 ST holds and trollers only 2, if it's TA secondary.. Thus a blaster can hold bosses much quicklier than any troller but /TA ones, and deffo can hold 2 bosses in the same mob much quicklier than any troller can.
I don't think that trollers were underpowered before the nerf, as someone said, but I don't think they were overpowered either. Now only Illu/ or Fire/ ones can only dream of getting a kill on a scrapper and certain tanks.
