Quote:Are........are you serious with this post?????I dislike the whole darlek storylines - while I understand the need for a villian, the beauty of the reboot of WHO was last time lord, everyone, everywhere, everywhen was dead..time lord and darlek. The episode where Rose and the DR. find the last darlek was awesome. Suddenly having billions of darleks all over the time stream is not true to the reboot. If they are going to have a billion darlek show up everytime, they should recton time lords again - rani, romana etc..

Works fine for me.
Edit: And those characters CAN skip the tutorial -- just delete and reroll. We're not talking level 40 here. -
There's the general petition (up to 16k+ last I checked) and the petition to open source the game engine (which will never happen). Which is why I don't understand the need to make multiple threads about it.

Quote:The Master was always insane. And how many "insane" villains have we had in superhero movies?! That I'm really sick of.
As for superhero movie villains that are insane? Let's see:
- Green Goblin
- Joker
- Doctor Octopus (canonically the explosion drove him nuts, in the movie the AI of his arms did)
- Venom
- David Banner
- Red Skull (was gonna put him under "sane" but apart from being a Nazi he was an actual certified nutjob)
- Sandman
- Magneto and the Brotherhood (Mystique, etc.)
- Abomination
- Loki
- Ra's al Ghul
- Scarecrow (being driven temporarily mad doesn't count)
- Bane
- [SPOILER FOR TDKR]
- Kingpin
- Lex Luthor
- Zod
- Doctor Doom (varies by interpretation but Julian mcMahon's wasn't even close to insane)
- Silver Surfer
- Galactus
- Obidiah Stane/Iron Monger
- Whiplash

Quote:Completely ignoring the fact that the game has thrived for nearly 7 years since that happened. Do you really think NCSoft wouldn't have pulled the plug if the game's population was twice what it actually is? We would still be their smallest game, their only game with no presence in Korea, and the most readily sacrificed.City of Heroes jumped the shark, and doomed itself to this fate, the day that Cryptic made the same mistake that every other doomed MMO has made: the crazy idea that once the game was more or less "feature complete" they could lay off 75% of the development staff, and nobody would notice. Only a couple of early MMOs kept their entire development staff: World of Warcraft, EVE Online, Guild Wars, and Runequest. All of them are thriving.
The Freem Fifteen did amazing work with what little resources they had. No more time and money than they had to invest in it, Croatoa may be the single most impressive engineering achievement in MMO history. But by the time they got reinforcements, the game's numbers had fallen below the point of no return.
CoH jumped the shark when NCSoft canceled it. Even if all the efforts that are being made save it from going away completely succeed, it will eternally remain an echo of what it was becoming and what it might have been. -
Minus the gimp mask, of course.

I was just thinking, Soloman reminded me a lot of Sharaz Jek from The Caves of Androzani, in terms of creepiness anyway.

Quote:Realistic != negative. The last reported population numbers for the game (admittedly dating back to 2009) put us at 50-60k subscribers. Post-Freedom this becomes a much harder figure to gauge since now people can (or couldYOU... are nothing but negative in a community that is TRYING to maintin a positive outlook....
) come and go as they please and even still pay money without having an active sub, but I really doubt we've returned to anything near pre-CoV levels given how old the game is.
This is actually a positive observation since it means a larger proportion of the game population has signed the petition than Adelante was suggesting, which means it should have more of an impact.
Believe in sunshine and rainbows all you want but it doesn't do anyone any good to raise expectations beyond what can realistically be expected. So quit trolling. -
Pretty sure I found my Mr. Science at 45-46 seconds in, black & blue tights(Metallic actually)/helmet on the far left, very close to the front. Love it.
This is just awesome. -

Couldn't find the Imperial one, those instructions are not very helpful at all. I did manage to find the Nova one, but after counting out to 100 PPD (based on what the counter was when I found it), nothing happened and now the counter is gone.
I should also add, there's no WAY the trigger point is one normal jump height up, I had to use Ninja Run just to get enough height to trigger it. -

Quote:Throwaway lines never mean "nothing" on Doctor Who.There was some potential here too. They had a great smoking gun in the vid log that described how all species were thriving -except one-. That could've easily been the Silurians. Rather than have Solomon mass murdering them he could've simply come upon a ghost ship, Amy and the others even ponder if there was a plague that wiped them out. Instead it's just a throwaway line that means nothing.

Quote:I don't have any problem with this thread, it's all the other ones he posted at the exact same time.In my life, there are things far more annoying than people cross-posting in a game forum. But I also do recognize that different people have different tolerance levels to annoyance.
Nevertheless, it seems that continually replying would just bump this thread up.
It might be akin to:
"Wow, this fly is annoying the heck out of me. Let me open the door to let him out."
"Oh. In comes another fly. I better keep the door open to let them both out."
This x infinity. There's at least two or three instances of this thread (inclusive) with posts in them, that's just diluting the message. -
NCSoft would have to be literally insane to continue with their current plans regarding City of Heroes at this point. For that reason I am not overly hopeful...
