Quote:Since no one else has said it: directly quoting private contact (PMs, e-mails) from NCSoft representatives is against forum rules. You can paraphrase, but not directly quote.Cite a public red-name post to this effect please.
For the record, I doubt they'd care so long as the player wasn't mistakable for an NCsoft employee or representative, but this post rings hollow when supporting it with a citation is made impossible by the forums rules -- as it stands it's just your say-so and you're not NCsoft. -

It's worth mentioning that Praetorian mission content is generally quite a bit more difficult than Primal content from the same level ranges (even the newer Primal content).
The thing with difficulty settings is definitely not supposed to work the way you describe, nor does it in my experience. It should be noted that missions spawned at +0 actually spawn enemies both at +0 and +1, but if you're spawning it at -1 then you shouldn't be getting +1s at all. I know there was a bug ages ago where only Lieutenants would spawn in a mission, and I don't think it was ever fully quashed (I haven't seen it happen in a while though). That might be what you're running into. -
Quote:Then you are hilariously obtuse or actively trolling.I don't see the connection since GG seems to be agreeing with you.
Quote:If memory serves (and I could be wrong) the polls were done in 2005 and we got shields at the end of Dec 2008/Jan 2009. So roughly three years. -
You don't need IOs in order to function in a team.

Just curious Forbin, are you one of GG's alternate accounts?
Edit: Also, how long did it take us to get Shields after that survey? -

If by "ability" you mean "tracing pictures of actual people", then yes, the artist has an astounding amount of "ability".

I feel a great disturbance in the Internet, as if a million nerds suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced.

They don't sound remotely similar beyond being the same style of music.

I think this is exactly the sort of philosophy that the devs are currently following, which will become increasingly obvious with time.
-
A couple issues, I believe. Next issue will be even better as we'll have access to the options menu before even logging into the game.

Quote:The results of a survey from 7 years ago? No, that sounds precisely like entitlement to me.No it's not. We've been patiently waiting to hear something about this for 7 years and this is the first you've ever heard any grumbling about it. If you think that equates to entitlement, then you need to get your head examined.
For all you know, the dev that was spearheading the thing left the company. Or it was Posi's pet project (Statesman's? whoever was in charge at the time) and got back-burnered when War Witch took over, or whoever the hell is even running the show now.
I don't disagree that it would have been neat to get a dev comment over the years (P.S. can you explicitly prove that they never have?), but they have no obligation to do so, and it's also really not that big a deal in the grand scheme of the game compared to their philosophy of letting some bad nearly-game-breaking bugs get pushed to live.
As for why they're not saying anything now, perhaps they have a reason for keeping mum, and perhaps you will feel somewhat silly when that reason becomes evident. Perhaps. -

Quote:But it's not something they ever promised. You're applying a lot of assumptions to the devs of the time (several of whom aren't even with the company anymore) which is an extremely unfair thing to do. Also...The original posts have long been lost to forum purges and the switchover to the new forums. But the surveys also asked what we wanted for power sets and that's where we got Shields from.
If BaBs could take 2 minutes out of his busy schedule to tell us that an Underwater Zone would take far too much time and resources to create and ultimately look crappy, then someone at PS could give us a response on the Moon zone.
Even something along the lines of what we were told about Power Customization would have been appreciated.
Quote:It took a long time before dual pistols became an option.
Same for shields.
Same for Demon Summoning.
Same for Power/Color Customization.
Same for Titan Weapons.
Next up is Staff Fighting.
In short, no, the devs do not owe us any kind of explanation for the lack of a Moon Zone. This is the silliest entitlement I've seen on the forum in quite some time.
