Point #2 just sounds like enhancement boosters to me.
-
If we don't get shark costume pieces in the Market during this week I'm just gonna go ahead and write this entire thing off as a massive fail.
Your move, Paragon Studios. Your. Move. -
Quote:Weird, I had no idea this was the case. Learn something new every day.Better tl;dr : Damage cap is checked per-power. It's 400 (or whatever, depending on Archetype) minus however much a particular power's damage Enhancements give it, regardless of whether the number in Combat Attributes is blue or not.
That 'however much a particular power's damage Enhancements' number usually ends up about 95. (The other comments explain why.) -
1. Yes
2. Depends on which Hybrid you have. The Damage Buff from Support will contribute to your cap, as will the +DMG from Assault. Double Hit from Assault, however, doesn't factor into it. -
I doubt City of Heroes is even on their radar. It's not exactly an original story, anyway.
-
Because if there's one area of the CoH UI that's not cluttered, it's the power trays.
-
File a petition, we cannot help you here. However, I suspect your last statement is not as true as you believe it to be.

Honestly, they kind of don't. 70s/80s Superman/Batman were done well and consequently did well at the box office, but without exaggeration they're the most iconic superheroes in the history of comic books, and at the time it would have been hard to make a movie about them that people didn't want to see. And superhero/comic book movies have evolved quite a bit since then, and most of that is due to the successes of 1998's Blade, 2000's X-Men, and 2002's Spider-Man. Those three movies really changed the game as much as Superman (1978) and Batman (1989) did.

Quote:The devs can't be held responsible for every mapserver that happens because it's not always the fault of the game code and there's really no way to know when it's a game bug and when it's someone at your ISP spilling a beer on their console (purposefully, because they just got fired for engaging in inappropriate acts on their desk with the cleaning lady). That's why you won't get your money back. That sort of risk is an after the fact discovery. Herein lies my basis of argument/discussion. For you its a thing you would not get into or invest in. "i" as a novice in the world of computer programming and MMORPG had no idea that i was exposed to loss in the capacity of using the things i bought.
I was unaware that if i used team insp I could in a way loose my money and waste it because the game could DC me. wELL NOT THE GAME BUT THE code or the current incarntion of the game. I dont mean to say that the game itself would cause this. I mean to say that the current bugs allow this to happen or rather creat a place for this occurance.
i AM NOW HOWEVER AWARE! -

If it were the game, everybody would be having the same problem, not just you and a couple other people. Maybe it just doesn't like you (or more accurately, your setup). Have you made any attempt to rule out what might be wrong with your machine (and what the few other people who are also crashing have in common), or are you content to simply rant aimlessly?
Were your team insps really wasted? I assume the buffs persisted on your allies even though you were no longer online (although I confess I don't know for certain that they work this way). Also you're arguing over $3, get a freakin' grip. Spoiler alert: you're not getting your money back because of bad timing, and your rage is way over the top for the amount of money involved.
why do I even bother with you -

Quote:Well sure, if you tell people you're in there, but that's not really much different from pre-forming. The point of the LFG queue is that you're supposed to be able to just hop in without any preamble, and that's just not how most people are using it.I have joined only one or two preformed Blockbuster events on Guardian. The rest of my 2 dozen runs have been via the LFG tab. This is on Guardian. And I often team with people I know from globals. The LFG tab is sorely underused, and I make sure to tell people I'm in queue (and no, not even in the LFG or Help channels) and have ZERO problems joining. But it does take more than the supposed 5 minutes. Since the changes, however, I happily go and run missions until the event starts.
You do raise an excellent point though, you're not forced to just hang out until you get into an event. -
Quote:It wasn't a joke, it was an exaggeration for effect. Kind of like saying "Everybody eats at McDonald's". Nobody believes that such a statement is intended as a literal fact.Oh I am on virt and free. lol. And in your comment there..it IS clear you are saying 'no one' as a joke, not seriously. Just in your first comment Gob, it came across as you talking about a fact.
Also, thank you for proving my point. Joining the queue may be all well and good on the two biggest servers in the game, but on smaller servers, pre-forming is SOP. You might get lucky with just queuing in, but the odds are heavily stacked against you. -
My experience, at least on Pinnacle, is that the LFG queue is not currently being used as intended 99% of the time (not just for this particular event), and I suspect this is the case on most of the smaller servers.
-
Quote:My statement remains true for large values of "no one" and I defy you to prove that it isn't.That..is not true at all Gob. I have done about 40 runs..without preforming. Sure preforming helps, but its silly to claim NO one q's.
More seriously...let me guess, you're on Virtue or Freedom? -
grumble. You know, some forums, when you mistakenly press the Back button, will retain what you had written when you press Forward. BUT NOT THIS ONE APPARENTLY
(A) = automatic, as in the first slot that every power comes with before you put any additional enhancement slots in it. The other numbers are the level that the enh slot was placed at.
Krma-ResKB is an IO from the Karma set that grants you 4 points of knockback protection (the "Res" part is a misnomer, as it is KB protection, not resistance).
Old guides aren't going to help you unless you plan to use SO builds. Take a look at the Player Guides section of the forum. Bookmark ParagonWiki, and don't EVER go to any CoH wiki page hosted at Wikia, that wiki is out of date and filled with malware (as long as the URL you're following reads paragonwiki.com or wiki.cohtitan.com, you're okay). Also, read up on Enhancement Diversification (ED) on ParagonWiki to disavow yourself of anything you may happen to remember about enhancement slotting back in 2004 (this was implemented in 2005).
Pre-Edit: I totally would have beaten Madadh to the punch if I hadn't lost my post. -
Form a team first, then queue. If you just jump into the queue by yourself, it'll wait until 3 other people join the queue (or it'll timeout, as it did for you). Since nobody does the event without pre-forming, you're sitting in the queue all by yourself.

Quote:Perhaps they could even call it servertime.I just suggest an In Game tool that would have its best use for everyone: the In Game Meridian Time Clock that would allow us to post any event/ any request / any petition with the In Game Time instead of having always the problem to know what time is announced for this or that in GMT Time, EST Time conversion. Set up that In Game "Meridian" Time on whatever anyway that would solve many of us the problem about dating in game for event and else.
What do you think of it? Call it Paragon Time... for example
Also, could you have possibly made the topic any more opaque? You have room for way more than 5 characters. -
-
Almost never. Obviously if I need to go inside the case and fiddle around. If I'm going to be away from home for more than a day or two I'll usually turn it off. That's pretty much it though. (I assume you're not talking about mandatory reboots following automatic updates.)

Damn your avatar and damn you for having it.

Quote:Admittedly, it does require a decent chunk of Handwavium in other to invoke science and/or tech, but it certainly works.I've got it on the Beta Server and in my "opinion" it looks more Magicky than Techy. Well it's generic enough to be any origin but Sci/Tech aren't the first things that pop to my mind when I look at them.
I won't dismiss others as being wrong if they have a different opinion on what origin it looks like to them tho.
Like you said, in my opinion.
