*shrug* I was just going by what I saw on wiki. Iron Man has never really been one that's on my radar.
-
Let's see...Iron Man was created in 1968 and is the epitome of the wealthy capitalist. In the middle of the Cold War.
Ya, I don't think Tony Stark was officially in print in Russia at that time.(Could very well be wrong though).

Quote:I did a double take at that. Had to rewind my recording.Artemis when she realized her bow and quiver were missing... "I feel naked! And not in a fun way."
Oh, if Kid Flash had been within earshot...
That Joker was just plain...weird. That voice was jarring and not in a good way. Unfortunately, we got the, "Hello Megan" bit back. Had hoped that was done with. -

Why are they releasing trailers almost a year prior to the movie?

Side note:
I have a bottle of the Tiberius Star Trek cologne. I bought it just for laffs. But it actually smells kinda good. A nice sandalwood base to it. Plus, it's a hit with the alien ladies. -
Quote:I did say, "Most likely". Last I had heard was that Fox was only interested in a 24th season. This was with the whole paycut/no merchandising monies fiasco with the six main VAs.Umm...
The Simpsons are gonna be around for Season #25, actually... -
There's a difference between that and the stuff that tends to happen in Family Guy. Case in point, the episode where Brian and Stewie travel back to the beginning of WWII. There's a part where there's a campaign button for a pair of candidates from the '08 election on one of the Nazis. That is what I meant by overbearing.
-
Quote:Well, since Simpsons is going to most likely end on the 24th season, he would have no reason to end Family Guy. They could just make Sunday nights MacFarlane night and be done with it.Agreed. I think seeing Seth use his "serious" side in a Trek venture could be interesting, and possibly a good angle for a new Trek series. I'd be willing to give him a shot.
As for the 300 in the Family Guy employ, he's already talking about making another animated series. If he gets green lit, he can simply finish Family Guy the season before the new show launches, and just transition the crew over to working on the new project.
And I wonder if the Star Trek would be free of overbearing political soapboxing? -
Well...there'd be a baby character, a talking animal, a fat idiot, and a whole lotta fart jokes...

Quote:The problem with high tech stuff (like say a laser or sonic fence) is that it breaks down and needs constant maintaining. They can't rely on resupply from the future or being (possibly) able to make the things necessary to keep higher-tech fencing options in working order, especially given the size of the fence around Terra Nova.Exactly.
Speaking of their defenses or lack therefo...this is 2149 and the best fencing they decided on was wooden posts (with metal holdings) and wooden stakes sticking out from the fence and up from the ground? Well, there's turrets but why not a more robust fencing?! C'mon man!
EDIT: And why don't there jeep/buggy things have doors on them?!?! HEEELLOOOOO? At least the sixers were smart enough to have Tank type vehicles.
Sometimes, simple is best.
But the door thing? Ya, that's kinda stupid design.
Quote:Personally, I'm a bit disappointed in Taylor. If I was the first one there, I'd have been out stealing me a dinosaur egg, hiding out safe in my bunker until that thing hatched, then I'd raise that little sucker as my personal pet and ride. Once it was full-grown, we would be out kicking *** all over the place. Forget those silly rover vehicles. I'd be out riding a freaking Tyrannosaurus like a horse, with one of those big *** sonic-cannons mounted on the front of my saddle, with a dual laser cannon headpiece slipped over Dino's head, so everywhere he turns to look, we're blowing **** up. Then let's see about the Sixers and their little cars... -
Quote:I wouldn't worry about the numbering. My on-screen guide almost never gets episode numbers correct.Well, it seems that a large amount of the people recruited for the colony were not chosen for their intelligence. You're living an a place where nearly every creature WANTS TO KILL YOU. So, you... traipse off into the woods in small groups and go swimming.
Also, the mini-pterodactyl episode was numbered 1-03 on my cable video-on-demand. The memory-erasing virus episode teaser is numbered 1-05. Are they skipping episodes?

And it looks like Kate is gone from Sanctuary. In the opening group shot, she's not there anymore.

They had actual animatronics there for parts of the movie. The rest was filmed using the same technique that was done in Avatar, iirc.

That...title...takes on different meanings, if one thinks about it...

Quote:/headdeskThe rule is, "no dedicated discussion and/or comparing/contrasting City of Heroes Freedom™ with other video games," and "no discussion of competing products."
And exactly what constitutes "competing products". That's what we need to know. Because in one response you say Connect 4 strategies are verboten, but in another you say they are ok. Again, the whole mixed messages thing. -
Which is it? Video games only or every game? You say, "mainly applies" which means its not just video games. You're giving conflicting messages here.
-
Quote:Well, the addition of board games, pen and paper games, and the like to the verboten list more than makes the loosening to the mentioning of them not quite worth it. One step forward, two steps back...Made over a year ago...
All they are doing is loosening the restriction. It was against the rules to even mention the name of one before, now we can at least name them, we just can't discuss them.
Still don't agree with it, still want it reversed, I don't want to see the misconception that this is new spread though. -
Quote:You remember what the road to hell is paved with, right?Intent does matter. To prove to you that intent matters, you have, in what I have just quoted above, continued to mischaracterize that intent and criticize the action based on that falsely presented intent.
It doesn't matter what their intent was, when the result is a) less posters; b) less people paying; c) community that was gutted.
Quote:Portraying these rules as the Devs being afraid that a discussion of a board game is going to impact people paying for CoH is one of the dumbest things I've read on these boards. Which is a very high mark to cross.
They don't want talk of "competing" products? Think about it. What does that actually mean? They don't want people hearing about other games so that people won't rush out to play 'em. Playing 'em generally means buying (or renting) them. Money spent on that is money that isn't going to NCSoft.
And this rule change came about around when a certain Distinguished Concept Unveiled Operations was in beta. That was, and remains, a fear-based response that people were going to jump ship.
