Now I'm creeped out!
Lovecraft is a personal fave...kinda wish we could do more of that stuff in-game.
Also, nice work on this! -
Very snazzy piece there...congrats!!

Very cool looking piece, Blind!!
Makes me wanna join up! -
Copied this from a post on the Virt forum regarding the style of the raid I was on, in case some are still curious:
---------
Thought I would add that Virtue now does evac-less raids blueside (and with some more practice, red-side soon) using a strat modified from the nuke-hami raid.
Changes:
Have yellow mito teams thumbtack their assigned yellow on the map, to find it later before it spawns. It also can be helpful if everyone on the raid has 3 EOE's to eat on the blooms.
While attacking the nucleus after clearing mitos, instead of calling for TP'ers to get safe, apply single target buffs as needed. Roughly 15-20 secs before each bloom, call for RA's and aoe buffs on the assembled group.
Immediately after RA's are stacked, yellow agro holders move to pre-thumbtacked positions and get ready to taunt-agro the spawning yellows.
Remind the raid to eat an EOE on the bloom. Then proceed with a standard mito clearing. Keep AB stacked on the Hami taunt tank throughout.
This will easily shave 10-20 mins or more off a normal evac raid, and make for a non-stop event throughout.
Red-side lacks stacked RA's, so will have to drop a pair of nukes on the assembled raiders prior to bloom. Even then, it might be necessary to have the squishier assaulters exit the goo prior to bloom and let melees take Hami down (after the buffs are applied to all). More experience with this forthcoming.

That's how they've done them since late last year, as I understand it, and they now go quite smoothly and fairly quick, to boot. I'm wondering if we get them to going quicker, without the pauses every mito spawn, would the leechers actually help? I mean, if the whole thing, once begun, took a half hour or 45 mins, would there be a real desire to just hang back and do nothing, or would you just pitch in and help so you can move on to other stuff? If you parked your character intending to come back in an hour or so to just get in on the end game/rewards, and the raid was over by then, you may think twice. -
I think we could easily do it that way if we'd get some folks farming EoEs before the raid. If everyone showed up with some, then the extras from GM killing would be available for the 7-8 tanks, we should be able to stay in there and not have to reassemble and such.
The raid I was on was a publicly announced one, not a private one, so it should work for Pinn, as well. We'd need to work out the tanks and the team leaders stuff ahead of time, I think, so that the core people know what to do without one person having to announce it.
I think I've also worked out a way to take care of some of the hiding leechers once the zone gets full, as well. -
I'd probably have to slot Rest with several recharge reductions.

Quote:I do WW a lot yes, but I dont believe I've ever crashed while I'm at the market itself.
It may not get you while in the market, but that memory will stay used, and when you go in a mission with certain textures or in the base, or something of the sort, that will add even more memory used, which may cause the issue. Doing a /unloadgfx didn't solve the issue for me, either - I had to shut down and restart the game to free up that memory. -
Grats on another nice piece!
You're getting art commissions at about the rate people level on a lowbie sewer run. -
I've noted issues in the past with the memory load from the market not unloading fully after exiting. We're you in WW's or the Black Market? If so, that could be an issue. I've gotten to where I will try to only hit the market before I log, or I'll shut down the game and restart it before I do a TF or something like that.

Probably so, but I've seen lots worse reasons to start threads.

I was in on a Raid on Virtue earlier, and there were some things there definitely worth adopting, IMO. It went very smoothly and fairly fast, to boot.
It would require enough tanks for hami and each of the yellows, with enough EoEs. They never left the jello once they entered - everyone would be ready and pop an EoE and a break free if they had one just before the respawn, and then set about taking on Mitoes again. The tanks had to be ready and positioned to taunt Hami and the yellows immediately when they re-spawned, but other than that, no big fuss.
I saw very few deaths...the one different thing was that the range team went in on a blue or two to attack them and keep the nearby greens busy, while the trollers were stacking holds on a green. Usually by the time the range people got one blue down, possibly two, but some times not even one, the green was ready to be held, and most of the yellows were already down. the range team refocused on the green, letting the blues go, and the trollers/defs/blasters just did greens until they were all gone. Blues were done last.
One spawn I didn't use an EoE and popped one green, and was good to go after that - the yellows being constantly taunted and the melee team wiping them out fast enough meant little damage for the group - just the blues zapping and some mezzing. -

Yeah, it's quite close, apart from the horns. The one ear you can see the top of almost looks pointed already from that perspective.

I generally don't, unless they've faved a bunch at one time. I'm bad about responding to comments on the stuff I upload, but I try to post if someone has indicated by their comment that they think I'm the artist.
I will comment on occasion to the watches or faves, but not so much. I figure most of them are from you all anyway, and you all know I appreciate you regardless. -
The Thing?
Captain Carrot?
Yam Gal?
Citrus Quencher?
The Gatorade Kid?
Orange You Special?
Unfortunately, I got a million of 'em. -

Drove back through the snow, so I'm back home from that week-long meeting/training. Hopefully I can stay awake long enough to get in on something tonight!

Yay!!!
Also, I really like LJ's Peanuts-style pieces. I miss seeing him post those periodically... -

<snort> Nice one, Battlewraith!

There is a new State of the Game.
This month, it's Tennessee.
