If Follow Up doesn't hit, there's no bonus. It breaks down very quickly against high Defense opponents. Rage doesn't.
Quote:For Brutes and Tanks. Blinding Feint and Follow Up have half the ToHit buff of Rage at 10%, but are given just 30% +damage. A triple stack of these skills offers just 10% more damage than a single stack of Rage, which is 80% +damage.
We're not talking about nerfing Rage, but taking the annoying aspect of it, the crash, out and adjusting the power so you get the same damage output over time as the current Rage. I wouldn't call that a nerf, I'd call it an improvement. -
You're a real market performance artist, Smurphy. Looks like a great service.

Thank you for your generous offer. Go ahead and put up the ones that haven't been filled yet on the BM if you can, and I might get them. You've been very helpful. I'm offering different prices for 30's though. When I get a chance I will look up what I'm offering on 30s.

I have one guy who needs a Perf Shifter: Chance for +END.
I've had bids on a dozen different levels for two weeks and gotten nothing.
I look forward to Going Rogue, but I fear what the BM will become as a result of Red Flight. -
I just feel sorry for those who spend Merits on large inspirations and SOs. Won't someone please think of the n00bs?

In redoing some of my Villains, and wanting Recipes that are not level 50, I'm posting here what I'm bidding on and for how much in hopes someone can put some stuff up (having the Inf but no supply to spend it on isn't fun).
I think I'm the highest bidder in each category, but if someone else gets it, eh, who cares. Though I hope I do get it. Spending Merits on any of this would be...sad making.
Current Bids on the Black Market:
FILLED Mako's Bite; Level 33; Dam/Rech Recipe: 10 million
FILLED Mako's Bite; Level 33; Acc/End/Rech Recipe: 11 million
FILLED Mako's Bite; Level 33; Acc/Dam/End/Rech Recipe: 8 million
FILLED Mako's Bite; Level 30; Chance for Lethal Recipe: 26 million
Each price was at least 1 million above the highest bid in the last five last I checked.
Thank you for your consideration. -

Soil Mastery? Oh, I get it. It's for farmers.

Quote:I hope Doms get the Controller epics. That would be SWEEEET!when we respec after changing sides we get that sides epic/patron powers, but which AT matches to which AT? is it brute to scrapper? brute to tank? corr to blaster? dom to controller? and what about vice versa? scrapper and tank to brute?
But thinking about it that would be unlikely since that would give a Dom access to 2 Power Boosts.
Here's hoping it happens anyway because I wants my Stone Mastery! -
Quote:You're not the only one. The very idea of DR in PvE is a teeth-grindingly bad idea.Am I the only one that is angered/confused by people asking for DR in PvE?
Et tu, Zombie Man? -
I don't know what the point is of doing that outside of Ouroboros, but hey, IY15.

Quote:A reworking of SS is unnecessary. An adjustment to Rage is all that is needed, and yes, the devs should make changes to existing sets to make them less broken and more fun, as they've done and continue to do all the time (Electric Armor being a good example).... do you really want the developer spending there time reworking Super Strength?
Problem is Rage has 100% uptime, sans 10 seconds. No other Buildup-like power is up that often except Followup, which has something like a 5% downtime due to missing 5% of the time, and it's numbers are only half of what Rage's numbers are. And it becomes useless in high-Defense scenarios. No other Buildup-like power can touch Rage for duration, reliability and buff potential. Rage has no equal in the game. -

The Chameleon Shirt power of Reptile Armor gives +Perception since their beady little eyes can swivel in all directions. It also has a damage aura from their tongues flailing at your enemies.

Here's hoping you guys do the right thing and make custom critters that are more difficult than standard critters worth more XP. Right now, they're worth the same or less, and that makes AE very unattractive. Sure, I like a good story or even just a new story, but there's no reason that story can't come with rewards commensurate with the higher risks custom critters bring.

I'm this many!
(Four years of CoV as of last month. Heard about CoH and passed it over. Heard about CoV and just had to play it!) -

Quote:Point taken, but something had to be given in exchange for no crash. Better ToHit than Damage, yes? That's why I said 'a bit over 1/4'. I don't remember what 20% acc converts to in 'to hit' but I know its not much. Like I said, though, overall, I liked your suggestion.
Quote:Many of these proposals would change Rage beyond recognition; what happens to everyone who slotted up recharge first if it's turned into a click power that ignores recharge buffs and debuffs?
Quote:Currently Build Up has a 1/3rd uptime on even high recharge builds, so for Rage to be perma it would need to be 1/3rd of the buff you get from Build Up, or have a crash. Personally I hate powers with crashes, so by the time it hits scrappers I would hope it is crashless, but I can see them keeping a crash of some kind, though I would be shocked to see over 50% damage and 10-20% tohit. -
-
-
I wouldn't be surprised if the majority of SS players don't like the crash, if only because it's forced downtime and forced downtime isn't fun. Altering Rage so the crash is eliminated increases the fun factor of the set, and eliminates the problem of being fair to Resist and Defense sets all at once.
-
To help compensate for the ToHit going from 20 to 5. I thought it only fair, but I admit I am reaching a bit with that one.
Though in this game (unlike in the comics where super strong characters struggle against super dexterous ones) super strong characters don't have much of a problem hitting super dexterous characters. Powers like Rage tend to indicate that.
Quote:Rather than giving it fixed recharge, what happens if you make it a toggle?
Quote:Did you drop the damage from 80% to 74% to represent the loss in damage from the current 10 seconds of -9999% in Rage's crash? If so, I suspect that this number would need to be a bit larger than 6% enhanced damage.
Quote:Well most builds are going to stack rage to some point, so simply stopping the stacking will nerf the damage enough, imo. And on top of that you'd be bringing the to hit down to a bit over 1/4 effectiveness - so like I suggested, if you were going to nerf the damage bonus on top of all that, then I'd like to see a reduction on the end cost to make up for that. -
Did this show have a live audience? If so, the skit bombed completely.
