SR take them all and stamina job done
[/ QUOTE ]
Take them all 2 end reds 3 defence in each toggle, stamina obviously, 3 def 3 rech in Elude, 3 rech in PB (so it stacks about half the time) Only slot the passives if you have nothing else to slot.
Just thought I'd expend on yours -

There's only 6 worthwile powers in DM.
Smite
Shadow Maul
Soul Drain
Midnight Grasp
Dark consumption, if you're anything other than regen, for a stamina less regen
ToF
6 powers, and they're amazing powers. There's little you can't kill in in safety with those 6.

Re-edited for greater accuracy.

I'd prefer to call it fine tuning than editing this time -
Could do what I always do with DM, take the first power, then at level 32 respec it out for the second. I always swap Shadow Punch for Smite, no different swapping Barb Swipe for Lunge
-
seems fine to me (I hate lunge, see Barb Swipe as the lessor of two evils(

OK the scary thing is after a few Gins last night I was discussing the same plan with digital desire and Kyanite........... worrying

Can I be the first to say "No Quills? OMG!!!!"
just a running theme I've noticed. Though quills are nice and regen does have the end to run them it would depend on your plans for the character, if you plan on being in very large teams I wouldn't bother but they're a real help for small teams and solo -

I dont know if I'd take DA, not that strong vs S&L which is the most common damage from scrappers
[/ QUOTE ]
Well, thee's always Tough. So, you'd say Invuln then (and be weak against anything non-SL)?
[/ QUOTE ]
I didn't say to take anything, just advised away from something, yes there is tough, but with a PvP build you alreay want a travel power, fitness, and probably leadership, fighting adds another couple of powers. DA could be a very nice PvP build but it wouldn't be the easiest to make -
Was tempting to go for her for the brute too, wanted a pet bloodwidow since the start of the game, but for my dom not my brute
oh well, a seer will do
-
Frost Wolf would never bow down to another man, is the whole Alpha Wolf thing, but a dead broad who's going to give him a cute chick to boss around, that he can respect
-
[ QUOTE ]
My opionion is that pretty much all dominators will need an endurance recovery power, which means there are really only 2 to choose from not 4.
[/ QUOTE ]
My fire/fire wont need one when the time comes, and will probably go with Mako, but all Ice/Ice will sure as hell be choosing between two. Have seen other doms without end issues too -
I want ghost widdow for Frost Wolf, but is DC going to be brought in line with PS or will it be its normal gimpy self? I dont knwo if I can afford not to have PS if DC will be 3 times slower than it
Edit: That said you cant pick a set for one power, the seer will be more usefull as a pet for its +per stacxking with the -stealth from AA, and its attacks adding more +rech to foes, so lookes like my original plan will remain the same -

With tough the res is enough for a brute, who uses Dark regen A LOT, trust me

You need to learn the world revolves around me, not just every single thread, then life will start making sense to you

To be honest, I'd expect some of those numbers to be closer to 75% than they are.
[/ QUOTE ]
Those numbers are statistically fine, all within 1 standard deviation
[/ QUOTE ]
That's if you look at it as a whole. If you look at it power by power, some of the numbers seem a bit odd - especially Punch. Although it was used more than both Brawl and Haymaker, it has a percentage which is about 6% lower than what it should be. Over 190 tests I'd expect it to be more around 2-3% difference, which the other powers are.
[/ QUOTE ]
As others have pointed out, it's well within the margin of error you'd expect with a sample of that size.
190 tests is actually a rather small number, statistically speaking. If it were 69% after 1,900 it might be significant. 19,000 would be much better.
[/ QUOTE ]
Yes, I do accept that - I'm no mathematician! It's just that those powers which were used less where actually much nearer to 75% than Punch.
Now, all we need is someone to do a 19,000 tests...
[/ QUOTE ]
Streakbreaker............... We dont know where Punch falls in the attack chain. I did some testing a while back for my Ice Dom and notices that Ice Blast had a very poor acuracy. I then changed my attack chain again and Ice Bolt had a very poor acuracy with this test. The numbers are too lot to expect the % to be exact, but they give me enough indication that there isn't a problem with brute acuracy. -
[ QUOTE ]
yup, but he said his was a DM/DA, in which case im trying to figure out how he made it to where he is without DC :/
[/ QUOTE ]
Maybe he's built end light like my DA brute.......... but IMO that wouldn't make for a very effective scrapper cause without Fury I wouldn't survive. -
EM is the only brute that does enough damage to regularly pull agro from my fire/DA
And yes for PVE I'd recomend Inv. Defence is not getting increased in I7, just balanced so that higher level foes dont have increased acuracy against you. -
Playing an engery blaster taught me how anying knockback can be, playing a rad defender in team reinforced that. But with FF/EN you can actually use the KB well. you can corner people with it, which keeps them nicely grouped around an anchors your team has dropped. So long as there is a corner, and you have that skill a FF/EN will be a welcomed addition to a team. If you dont have that talent they'll be an anoyance to any melee types, anchor based sets and AoE junkies

Two TTs Stacked = all mobs held in tight herds, two energy torrents = mob chasing.
I'm sure you'll see how Dark benefits our duo more than body mastery
Edit: when I say held I dont mean HELD, I mean imob so they can not level the herd until dead -
DC is just as essential on an SR, normally after I've Soul Drained (now that you mention it) or after Elude has caused the end crash. DC isn't usefull to a Regen really, DM isn't end heavy enough to cause regen any sort of end issues.
-
Just to give you a bit more of my logic, you dont want to be stopping mid group to hit your damage increase, you could be attacking and maintaining fury. FE lasts longer, thus if you use it at the start of every fight you'll get more out of it. BU doesn't last one full attack cycle for me, so the idea of hitting it mid fight and wasting that animation time is less than apealing, I mostly only use it for the acc bonus vs CoT, or for my AoEs at the start of each fight.
-
Dont use Touch Of Fear? *scratching his head* Dont you want the fights to be easier? It is without a doubt the power that makes DM what it is. It means you dont need the healing of siphon life, mitigates the damage much better, it is the attack to grow to love in the set
-
I'd recomend FE, but I've only ever had build up and realise just how situational that is for a brute
-
I still need more slots for my dom, if anyone has any they wouldn't miss.....................
