I'm unsure wether I'd be able to attend, due to uncertain date of our D&D session, as soon as I know for certain if it's saturday or sunday, I'll let ya know, but I am interested in doing it.

Last night!

I'd just logged in into CoH with my bubbler scarlet, was still in Siren's.

Bubbled a few pple there, got teamed by my sg mates, as I clicked to turn on PFF I got teleported away from the front of the base, fascinated I hung around a bit to see what was going on.

2 MM's, and one Corrupter started firing at me, so I turned Manouvers and my Dispersion bubble on.... flew down and started typing in Local, at which point 3 stalkers all appeared simultaniously to AS me.

I finished typing, and let them know that I didn't have time to play now and promptly flew off.

It was just such a strange yet interesting experience.

I could just imagine the frustrated and shocked faces of those 3 stalkers though!

Darnit, except for reading this too late, I'd never have made it at that time in anyway.

My most annoying enemies were dominators and corrupters. Mind/psi doms are good in pvp, seeing most ATs lack psi resistance and mind is one of the best controlling sets.

I can attest to the fact of adding that factor of dislike toward the Doms. Specially Mind/Psi, me and duke had some great fun in SC with the whole big bash thing was going on!

I take my Scarlet around Siren's as often as I can.
Was there the last too nights, even managed to score a kill, although there was definately help.

FF is fun to have around, I like bouncing the villians all around the area.

Unfortunately, I can't say that you have much effect in PVP other than keeping your teammates up and buffed and annoyin stalkers to no end, unless their hunting you.

I do wish that I packed more of a wallop for PVP, but Defending is a defender job, and offending is unfortnately something we definately lack in.

If I was over on Defiant I'd have brought my Dominator out.

Hmmmm... I had an interesting thought for my Dom.

I was considering picking up Tactics, slotting it 3 Accuracy.
I could then drop the accuracy's I have in my power and put up longer durations or more -Recharge dependent.

Of course, this does mean that I will need to have Accuracy running Perma, but as I have stamina and I get domination up by the time my stamina is almost down, this might be a feasible option, of course then there's the problem that at the times when I get toggle dropped, my accuracy would severly suffer.

So I'm in 2 minds about it really.

Any thoughts>?

Detention field... you have a few pple that'll scream at you when you use it... *shrug* their problem.

I usually use it to keep the boss / lieuts outa action or Sappers... the Nasty things.

Gr8 power, specially when going up agains Nemisis, since most pple just don't listen when you say leave the Lieuts for last 'cause when they drop they give everyone around them Vengence.

Force Bubble, got it, LOVE IT!

Specially when used correctly (and I'm not saying that I do) it can be quite nice, usually when i pull it off nicely in a corner or small room, my immediate type out is.

A bit of a bother keeping the whole team in it, but you manage.

Yup, I do wish they'd let us slot it for Accuracy though.

I haven't bothered adding onto mine as yet, so I'm just on a single recharge SO.

Gr8 power still in anyway though.

As suggested, Mass Hold/Sleep, pop in the middle of them and let fly with Drain Psyche, pop out and voila not much of a endurance or health problem anymore.

And I've noticed that with the -recharge on the enemies, they go down so much faster.

Considering that I have Stamina and have it 4 slotted.
I still use Drain Psyche 'cause I spam holds like you wouldn't believe and my end drain although not too heavy does catch up to me when my teams got me in there dominating 3 groups (most likely running TK as well).

I took my villian out last night for a bit.
Headed to Siren's and lo and behold, there' were things going on!

So Ice isn't much of a holdy?
I like my Mind holds, everything is 2 acc 2 hold and 2 rech-reduc.

There's only a 5 ticks drop between my mass sleep and when I can hit it off again, but then I have all my other holds as well to use.

I've been able to control 3 groups, even 4 once, although not for extremely long... darn AOE attackers don't they know the one's with the ZZZ's will wake up and smack me? and the one's with the circles are ok, 'cause their just stunned? *sigh*


Ice just seemed like the next best one to fit my concepts after mind.

So far I've done my 2 psi brothers (hero/villian).
And it may still take me a while before my next, but Ice seemed good.

If I were to start a new one (and I won't till mines 40, i'm a stickler for not alting ) I'd do an Ice/* one.

Although I'd prefer to have an earth one!!! *nudge developers in ribs* or Water, I'd really like some water sets.

Mind/Psi is a GREAT set, dont' expect to do much on the damage side of things if your going for holds, but let me tell you this, you at least stop the enemies from smacking you with your holds, something other dominators lack a bit on as the enemies can usually attack through their holds.

And Dom's aggro magnets... O so heavy on the aggro!

As for pets, *shrug*
Don't get one, unless you do count the confuse power.

It just irks me slightly ever so much that you loose out on XP for it.

Now hold on their, I'm no xp meiser and I know that confuse can be used to exteremely great effect, it's just annoying that the others get pets of their own, that give them full help and xp and mine doesn't!

Other than that little gripe about the set, I'm a great fan of it... now if only I can get pple to stop darned AOE'ing the groups awake right after a sleep!

Hmm... so many...

Let's see, the best would have to be the big fight with Bridger and Rockjaw on Siren's.

Even though it was a lag haven and the hero's seriously outnumbered the villians (I'd know I'd started on that side)

But then taking out my Dominator, and dropping every bubbler I could find's toggles... course then the controllers caught on... hehe, wans't pretty.

I think it soon became a case of "if you see something red who's name starts with Crimson, pound it"

It was still great fun.

O and then there was the fight with the Peacebringer... I so lost.

& the Ice Tank, Ice Duke, he was fun, good chat too.

We managed to square off for a slight bit of 1 on 1.

I was fine till he got in close and I got frozeheld.
Ouch.

Course he was swearing about my TK usage too.

O and the best bit, rocketing straight up into the sky, flying to the hotspot while holding or Air Superioritying Heroes out of the sky. Then dropping down, hitting hover at the last moment, spamming my 3 AOE holds and Flying back up being chased by 5 or more heroes.

Darn that impale power with -fly!

O and the sweet, sweet satisfaction of chaning a squidy to human form with a hold and watching him plummet into the fray below.

Hmmm... I hadn't actually thought of what the missions would be...

I need to go and ponder that.

Totally agree with that, I really enjoy PvP and spend some time in Sirens most days, but when I get annoying people of the 'HAHA Pwnd N00b' type, I just get to [censored] off to play. It especially seems to be Stalkers who act like this. (Note: Not saying all Stalkers, I know plenty of good Stalkers who are fun to play against)

What I mean is that instanced missions are not helping in promoting PVP, just the zone.
I think what I suggested in the suggestion thread brings it up nicely.

What I meant with "crying to mommy" is all the threads I've previously read about people ranting on here that they didn't want to pvp and we're only there for the missions.
Which is really annoying, since their farming of xp on the missions is causing us PVP'ers (now Siren's too) to get de-/buffed.

None or very few of the people actually PVP'ing go and do the missions, if i'm there I'm more interested in going up against the opposition that doing instanced misshies.

You have all these people that just come in and do the missions and those of us really PVP'ing have to suffer and don't dare go and bonk one of the missioners on the head, then they start crying mommy.

Ok, I'm in a bad mood, I REALLY haven't had a good start to the new year, but I still think it's not cool to do that to Sirens.

The debt we get in there fighting at hot spots is bad enough, no need to go and make it harder.
Besides I doubt if it'll attract more pple to pvp, it's really just the missions those one's are after, if I go into a PVP zone it's not to do missions, it's to bonk heroes / villians over the head... or at least to annoy them endlessly and GET bonked over the head

What's missions got to do with PVP anyway?

There shouldn't be missions inside places, if they want missions in PVP then they should be outside so the opposition can bonk them over the head repeatedly for trying to debuff them.

That'd be PVP, an instanced mish that the oppostition can't enter and stop whoever from doing whatever doesn't seem to have much to do with pvp to me.

I haven't been able to play since a bit before Xmas due to my powersupply fan going bust on me (new one gettin sent out today, gr8 xmas pressie huh? )

I yell DOMINATIOOOON!!!!
And then start spamming all my AOE Sleep on one group AOE hold on the other, use Fear Scream, then start ripping into them with my single target hold and sleep while my teammates usually go: oookaaaayyyyy... and start backing away form me slowly.

Mine's been great, I do have the usual misses, but a LOT less than with my Defender (who's almost x2 his lvl & SO'd).
