I've seen just about every base that has been posted on these forums and that is the best night club I have ever seen! The purple lighting with the dark walls really do make it feel like a club. The bar is huge and the VIP club is pimptastic! I hope you don't mind if I copy it.

Thank you very much! I don't mind if you copy it at allFor the dancer stage and pole, I can't take credit for that idea. I actually borrowed that idea from Slytech, the leader of Satisfaction Inc.
To make it use the half circle tables in the "Other Furniture" tab and use the Large floor lamp, lit or unlit.

How does one alter the symbol on the SG banners/floor plates?
(In this case it was done to spell out "V I P")
[/ QUOTE ]
This is a bit tricky. You have to exit the base edit mode, change your SG symbol, enter base edit mode and place the banner. Exit base edit mode, set SG symbol to the next letter you need, enter base edit mode, choose a DIFFERENT style banner and place it, rinse repeat. In other words. You can't use the small Arcane banner 1 for more than one letter. Each letter or number has to be on a different style banner. This trick does not work on the glass panels or the floor tiles.
Oh and something to note, before you change the symbol and move to the next letter, make sure the banner is placed where you want it and dont' move it. If you try to move it after you've changed the symbol, it automatically sets the image to the currently set SG logo. -
Rogue Wolf Radio Presents....
Shadow Gate Night Club (Virtue Server)
Hubby and I started our own internet radio station, and thought it would rock to have a night club base to hold rp events in. So I built Shadow Gate Night Club. Pics can be seen by following the link below.
Shadow Gate Night Club
The SG itself is not active, just has a bunch of my alts in it. But the purpose is mainly to provide an alternative to Pocket D for our coalition mates.
Current Coalition:
Shadow Manor
The Good Life
Satisfaction Inc.
Artificial Xtracts
Shadow GAte Night Club is currently seeking to coalition with six more ACTIVE RP SG's on the Virtue server. Contact @CrimsonWolf @CrimsonWolf Too or @Schayde the Shadow to discuss the possibility of becoming a member of our coalition, so you too, can use the night club! -

Character: Ella Diablo
Location: Independence Port, Base portal
Issue: I was on my main, Ella Diablo, on one account. Fired up the 2nd account on a different computer and logged in an alt that I have in the SG Wolfmoon Ranch, my personal SG/base. Invited alt to team, made her leader, tried to access the base. As soon as I would zone into the base it would boot me back out to Independence Port. Sometimes my screen wouldn't even show me zoning into the base, it would show the Loading page, then immediately go back to the IP page. I tried to enter the base about ten times. Finally I went to atlas park, the same zone my alt was in. I was able to enter the base then, but the destination selection window would not go away. It showed Atlas Park, Atlas Park 2 and Cancel. Each time I tried to close the window it would open back up. When it come time to leave the base, I clicked on the first atlas park option and nothing happened. I tried the second one and nothing happened. I tried cancel and nothing happened. Finally, after trying a few times, I was able to close the destination selection window and click the portal before the window popped up again. When I clicked on the portal, the destination selection window appeared and I was able to make a selection and get out of the base.
The bug with the destination window has happened a few times on a few different toons, since the release of I10. Tonight was the first time I have experienced the repeated booting from the base.

Same thing just happened in Founders Falls at the base portal.

Had to be in the same zone as the team leader again in order to access base. Same bug with the destination selection window too. -

Jayde felt anything but cool as a cucumber as they ascended the stairs to the FC HQ. Her palms were sweating within her steel-plated gloves. Her hands flexed into fists as her mind raced. As they breezed through the massive entrance doors, her gaze took in the various heroes milling about. Were they all here becaues they received the call as well?
Their footfalls echoed as they made their way to the front desk. She took advantage of the opportunity to steal a glance at Jay. He was tall, well-built, with rugged good looks. His neatly trimmed hair and beard were a rich shade of reddish-gold that reminded her of the early morning sunrise. It wasn't just his good looks that appealed to her so much, it was the man he was. He carried himself with confidence, exuding calm authority easily recognized when he walked into a room. His sense of justice and dedication to the protection of Paragon were unshakable. Since the moment they'd met, she had felt drawn to him. There were times she felt they'd known eachother their whole lives, and yet, she still had so much to learn about him. She wondered if everyone who fell in love felt the same indescribable joy she felt whenever she looked at him.
Shaking herself mentally, she returned her thoughts to the matter at hand. Jay hadn't told her much about why they were here, but she knew it had to be important. And judging by the number of heroes trickling through the door at a steady pace, whoever they were here to help, had to be someone significant. Her nervousness just grew tenfold. -
Jayde sat in the front passenger seat removing various knives and shurikens from her backpack, placing the daggers in their sheaths at her wrists and thighs. The shurikens went into the compartments of the bandolier strapped to her chest. They were the only weapons she used on duty. She couldn't always rely on being within reach of her oponent. Guns were out of the question, but a well-placed blade was just as effective at putting a perp out of commission long enough for transport back to the PPD. She glanced over at Jay as he spoke to her.

"I don't know what it is... but I'm on edge like you wouldn't believe. Maybe it's because I'm finally going to have a chance to prove not only myself.. but maybe we can show the city that the PPA/PPD /are/ useful.. Thanks to you that is."

Smiling slightly, Jayde tilted her head to insert the tiny ear-bud that would transmit directives from her comm-link. Jay really had gone through some amazing changes in the past few months. The first time he'd revealed his regenerative abilities to her had been during a sparring match last month.
Prior to that match, it had been weeks since the last time they'd seen one another. Reluctantly, they'd agreed to put some distance between them while he earned back his F.T.O. Sergeant stripes. Those few weeks had been hell for both of them, but they'd managed. When he'd asked her to meet him at the dojo after hours, she'd wondered what could be so important that he'd want to meet her there. He'd surprised her further when he showed up in his workout gear. Instructing her not to hold back or go easy on him, they'd engaged in a rigorous sparring match. She'd landed a particularly vicious blow at the end of the match, which had broken his arm. It wasn't just an ordinary break either, it had been a compound fracture. Horrified at the thought that she'd put him out of commission again, she'd stood dumbfounded as his arm began to heal right before their eyes. It was then he'd explained what had happened during their time apart. He hadn't been a mutant when they'd met. It left room for a great deal of speculation as to how she'd transmitted her mutation to him.

"Know what I mean Alle?"
[/ QUOTE ]
Jayde shook herself mentally, blushing prettily at his pet name for her. She still hadn't grown accustomed to someone thinking she was "beautiful" and she still wasn't sure how to respond to it. But now wasn't the time to daydream. There was trouble somewhere and they were enroute to see what they could do to help. It was time to get her game face on.
Her expression remained neutral as they pulled up outside the Freedom Corps building. Her outter facade was a stark contrast to what she was actually feeling......nervous. She and Jay had gone on minor patrols together in the past, before the "incident". But this was going to be very different. She wasn't sure why, but she had a feeling she was about to enter an entirely new phase of her career. -
Jayde had just finished her afternoon workout at the Dojo of the Lurking Shadow. It was a daily ritual for her. Keeping in top shape was imperative for her line of work. She'd been in the Paragon Police Academy for just over four months now. Things were going extremely well, but she wasn't about to take any chances by slacking off. As a cadet, she was only authorized to go on low-risk patrols unless supervised by an F.T.O. One day, she'd be an official patrol officer, and she'd depend on her martial arts abilities to ensure she came home at the end of each day. Especially since she refused to carry a side arm. She knew how to use one, but didn't feel it neccessary when she herself could be honed into just as lethal a weapon should the need for escalated force arise.
She'd just gotten out of the shower and was pulling on her Academy issued uniform when she heard her cell phone chime. Flipping it open, she noticed a voice mail from Jason and listened to it immediately.
Her brow furrowed slightly at Jay's urgent message. They'd only been dating openly for a few weeks, which in fact was completely against Academy regulations. Cadre were not to fraternize with Cadets. Their relationship had cost him his F.T.O. rank a few months ago. He'd earned it back quickly and had recently been promoted to Lieutenant. People made mistakes, even Jay, but that didn't make him a bad cop. He was a valued asset to the force and the higher-ups knew it.
Jayde had escaped punishment due to the fact that when she and Jay met, she hadn't been aware of his status at the Academy. Commandant Winters had decided that the Academy couldn't very well take administrative action against her over something she'd been completely oblivious to. It was also determined that since she wasn't a student of Jay's, should their relationship continue, no further administrative action would be taken. However, until she graduated from the Academy, they were to be placed on patrols in seperate parts of the city unless cirrcumstances deemed otherwise.
Judging by his frantic call and the fact that he was already on his way to get her, this would probably turn out to be one of those situations where their working together couldn't be avoided. She and Jay may not have been dating that long, but she knew the tone in his voice well enough to know something was up. Judging by the time the call came in, he'd be here any minute. She had to hurry.
Quickly, she finished dressing, securing her bullet proof vest on beneath her padded uniform jacket. Running a hand through her damp, green, spikey hair, she slung her backpack over her shoulder and strapped her goggles to her forehead on her way out the door.
Jay pulled up on the PPA squad car just as she was descending the dojo steps. The look on his face didn't bode well. -

Thank you Turbo
I wanted to add shading...but I have very little experience shading on computer....so I left it as is for now. maybe after some practice i'll go back and shade it.
-
lol thanks for the info Gata...actually I didn't think of what it meant...I just think the name Ella is pretty, and always liked the word Diablo....but I guess from now on I'll have to be more careful about name meanings lmao.
as for a full shot, I'm working on it. I'm really bad at drawing legs for some reason lol. -
One I did for my fire/fire blaster, Ella Diablo. The concept was used in a magazine cover i made for her. The pose was inspired by a model on a foreign maxim mag. cover.

OMG! I love Solid. I'm not that far into the story yet but i'm hooked. and this is my favorite line ever:

lol...I don't think intimacy qualifies as "Mature" RP, in my book, mature is violence, language or any type of character behavior that may be offensive personality wise....in other words, anything the censors won't allow on TV or that requires an "R" rating in a movie theatre. More commonly, lately, i've seen the intimate RP referred to as "ERP" for "erotic". This makes more sense to me, because it's not really fair to lump every "mature" roleplayer into the "cyber club". Mature doesn't always mean ess ee exx. But that's just my two cents.

I've seen this I don't know how many times now, and it still cracks me up. I also read one about EQII a while back...can't remember where I saw it, but it was just as funny as this one.
People that get busted in public channels have no reason to complain if they get caught and it winds up all over the web. Keep it in tells for crying out loud. I've got nothing against anyone else's rp style. Its not my place to tell people how to rp. But if you don't want to face possible embarrassment, then do it privately lol. -
Toru shook her head, further obscuring any view of her face with her hair. "Forgive me if I seem rude but we've had our share of unpleasant surprises here." She gestured toward the unconcious figure on the floor. "As for him......nothing but trouble being dealt with." she ground her teeth together slightly, her patience wearing thin. She'd already decided she didn't like the one called Ryuu Hotaka very much. He struck her as a bit....arrogant....pompus...and a few other not-so-flattering things. The one called Acid, she took the time to assess once more. This one seemed ....smarter, at least a little. He had the sense to shut the other one up, she'd give him that much.
"As for why so many slumber...." she shrugged her slender shoulders slightly. "I do not know. I too felt the effects of some....spell but it is fading. Now all I sense is dark power. You two wouldn't happen to be responsible for that now, would you?" Toru crossed her arms over her chest and leveled her gaze on the pair. -
Toru watched her daggers clatter to the floor, the finely crafted weapons glinting harmlessly in the mid afternoon sun. Her expression was one of confusion touched with a bit of amusement. She looked to the inert figure on the floor. The vortex of magic seemed to have dissipated, but she could still feel dark power crawling across her skin, nearly taste it.

"So, this is the way the Dragon fights here, hm?" came a voice from behind the group, filled with the tone of disappointment, "I have to say, I expected better."

Toru turned slowly, her dark eyes assessing the newcomer through a curtain of dark hair. "And just who might you be?" she asked, her tone none-too pleasant. -
((sorry guys, it was finals week last week. only one week of classes left. to clarify a few pages back, i thought we were attacking just to get him to move out of/away from the vortex, a distraction more than to hurt him.....*shrugs* so to clear things up......from what i gather, K-man has successfully pulled H-man from the vortex.....there are newcomers infiltrating the dojo for unknown reasons...Yuri still slumbers....someone set me straight?))

Toru's fatigue faded a bit more with each surge of adrenaline. Her pulse raced but her mind was uncharacteristically calm as she charged after her brother
((customers at work and its almost time to go home sorry for short replies)) -
Toru's face lit up with anticipation as Ryuu drew his blades. She took a step forward so she was no longer behind him, but beside him. Tension coiled like springs in her limbs, eager to expend the adrenaline roaring through her veins like a raging river. Her deft fingers withdrew throwing daggers from within her Gi as she took up a fighting stance beside her brother.
Her gaze locked on their target as she took aim. "Are you ready brother?" she murmurred to him. With that, she let her daggers fly.......... -
Thank you to the OP of this thread, its very thoughtful of you to have created it
Ex Libris was very helpful and prompt in this matter. I have a pretty good idea of what happened thanks to Ex's efforts. The Shadow Manor cast has posted a summary of the events that took place in the missing pages, and has agreed to pick up where we left off in the old thread.
We won't be starting a brand new thread for the Shadow Manor because alot of effort has been placed into it so far. However, if the need should arise down the road we will manage accordingly. Thank you again to the forum staff and followers of the thread that have shown their support.
Schayde -
((forgive me for my neglect of this thread gang, been very busy lately, in and out of game....work's been nuts so i barely get to post from there lately....and the SM thread has been moving insanely fast
but hit a glitch in the road today grrrr
jumping back in with Toru now
))
Toru cracked her knuckles first, then her neck as she watched the battle in progress. She itched to join in on the fight, for it had been a very long time since she'd been in a true battle.
Her hand slid to Ryuu's shoulder and she gave it a slight squeeze. The gesture was a familiar one between them. To others, it would merely appear to be casual behavior. But he knew it meant she was asking if he had a plan, and if so, would he like to share it?
Toru's thoughts jumped to Yuri for a moment, clearly concerned for the girl's well-being. She hadn't wanted to leave her in the infirmary....but she'd had no choice. She had a feeling Ryuu was going to need her. -
Schayde tried to reach behind her head and claw at her captor's eyes. She even tried to ram the back of her head into his face....to no avail.
She grunted in surprise and pain as the blow connected with the top of her head, jarring her teeth. Vaguely, she noticed the coppery taste of blood as her fangs pierced the inside of her lower lip. Then she was falling to the ground.......darkness........ -
((we have a fan base. *waves at w4rzOn3 with a smirk*))
Schayde had no sooner stepped through the door when she was captured by Egarim. He'd made not a sound when he approached her from behind. She was still fatigued from last night, so her normally acute senses hadn't even had a chance to warn her that danger was present.
She felt his vice-like grip around her throat and arms, the pressure of his hold making it difficult to breathe. Yet when she tried to claw at the arm around her throat, she did no damage to his ghost-like flesh....if he even had any to begin with.
She heard Draeko's voice and saw flashes of movement in her peripheral vision. Her captor even shifted slightly, but he'd moved so incredibly fast, there had been no opportunity for her to attempt escape...... -
Toru's eyes narrowed as she watched the stranger. He was currently engaging that pesky, pebble throwing boy. Then the stranger faltered, seeming to be suffering from the same malady the other students were feeling....but to a lesser degree.
"Are you sure that will be necessary?" she asked Ryuu, "Look at the way he tires....." she stifled a yawn and blinked several times. "I feel tired as well ....." she looked around as several more students feel to the ground. They were dropping like flies!
Suddenly several Sensei came rushing into the garden. "Students, enough!" she shouted, not realizing that it was an actual fight and not a sparring match taking place. "Everyone, to the courtyard, now! Help those who have fallen...." The Sensei spread out, lifting students off the ground. Some carried a student over each shoulder and swiftly carried their burdens out of the Dojo.
"Something is not right." Toru whispered close to Ryuu's ear, the warmth of her breath brushing the back of his neck.
She glanced at Shadow Pyre. "You feel it too....don't you?" she asked him. Her gaze traveled slowly between Pyre and her brother. "Well gentlemen, what is our plan?" a slow smile spread across her face. She hoped it involved dealing out some intense pain to someone.....anyone at this point. She needed to release some pent up energy. Right now, the stranger who'd attacked Yuri was looking like a prime target......but she'd wait for Ryuu's command. It was more fun to fight with him anyway.......
