This has probably had the same effect as the burning trees map, it got removed from both the MA and official missions...
One of the PI missions, 'Rikti plasma fire has set the trees alight...', map is Grassy map 01 (with hills) according to MA as the burning trees map has gone... -

Good answer GG, however they (The Rikti) are already in Crey's so I was thinking of it as access to Crey's from the RWZ to help prevent them getting further into Brickstown etc...
A side effect of that would allow (heroic) Vanguard members back into the RWZ from Crey's. -
The guides will I believe transfer, but expect it to get buried once the merge occurs.

I wouldn't stop you using the easy access portals, especially as the door wouldn't enter into the Vanguard Base only into the zone. (RWZ)
But if you're headed to the RWZ from Brickstown/Crey's then it would be the ideal shortcut to a mothership raid. -
Yeah basically you would need both flags on your character to get through it:
1. Hero
2. Member of Vanguard
This means you would have to be a level 35+ (IIRC) hero and have done the Vanguard introduction missions (Basically have the ability to earn vanguard merits.) -
As long as it's restricted to hero side 'Members of the Vanguard' and guarded by Vanguard Troops on both sides rather than PPD, this would be an additional entry into the RWZ (Not the base) and also help explain some of the Rikti in Crey's.

Just drop the following from the MA:
1. Inf. / Prestige (It is a training simulator)
2. Salvage / Recipe Drops (Players get MA tickets)
Additionally they could limit the MA to a maximum gain of five levels, prior to gaining at least one in the city/missions. (This would only allow an additional single level in the MA though.)
Example for the above:
Level 16 player enters AE
Trains up to level 21 (AE count +5)
Has to go and play the normal game for at least one level... 22 (AE count now +4)
Now they can either:
a. Gain four more levels outside the MA (AE count 0)
b. Gain another level via the MA (AE count +5)
Capping the AE count won't stop them playing in the MA but would stop them gaining any Exp from it.
This way a player can still reach Level 50 in the MA, but they are persuaded to partake of the real game too.
This would also be useful to all players at times when they have to level solo too. -
I thought of it as more of a tailor unlock such as the level 20 capes and level 30 auras, or the crafted boots/wings, roman/vanguard costumes etc...

My suggestion was both 2 & 3...
However once we had a customizable jetpack we could easily request more backpack designs:
Jetpack: LKT-1700, Raptor, Sky-raider, Gold-bricker...
Other: Military, Rucksack...
(Aka suggestion 1)
Additionally regarding suggestion 3, this doesn't just relate to jetpacks, quite a few people are requesting animated/glowing costume pieces.
A glowing version of the circuit pattern and so on... -
Oh you meant the limited Arachnos/Mercenary initial missions.
The tutorial is actually Breakout.
Yeah I get what you mean, I would be nice if they modified the initial mercy contacts to give different missions depending on your villains AT/Origin.
Protestor riot need corrupting...
Snakes need smashing out of town... (Brute/MM)
Clear out a base and repair it's equipment... (Tech origin)
That sort of thing, I don't mind the limited contacts in the begining but AT/Origin specific missions from them would help. -

Actually it isn't, when you create a character and get the 'Enter tutorial zone?' question, select NO and you will then get asked which contact you want to go to in Mercy 'Kalinda' or 'Burke'...
Notes:
1. The same works heroside except for contacts being 'Ms Liberty (Atlas)' and 'Back Alley Brawler (Galaxy)'
2. It is recommended that Peacebringers start in Atlas and Warshades start in Galaxy as that is the location of their starting contacts. -
Just to say my post was about the minibooster jetpack item becoming an unlockable and customizable costume piece,
without flight but with the effects for it like the rocket boots.
Yes the 30 day minipack would also grant a temporary flight power and this would still grant 30 days of flight...
But if your costume had the Customized Jetpack or Rocket Boots on it it would only activate flight,
otherwise it would work as it does now and display the original minipack jetpack. -
The Kheldian partially-transparent auras (PB/WS)
Like the Dwarf/Nova aura but for Humanoid forms. -

Tried deleting Cityofheroes.exe, then running the EU updater?
If it says it can't install, copy the updater out of the City of Heroes folder and then run it...
FFM may be better suited but these have previously worked forme. -

I said nothing about dropping Exp from MA only the Inf/Prestige,
As that is (technically) your own and your SG/VG's reputation in Paragon City/The Rogue Isles,
Based on your 'pilot' comment, a pilot landing a powerless plane in a river on a simulator gets less of a reputation than one that does it for real and saves the lives of the whole crew and passengers!
I recall this happening fairly recently and it was global news, although I can't remember if it was ever done in a simulator as that wouldn't really be news...
