Based on my (admittedly limited) knowledge on game mechanics, the cone damage and knock* is a completely seperate effect from the self-teleport, so if, for whatever reason, you slot it for knockBACK, the direction of the knockback would be comparable to using Gale or Energy Torrent or Shockwave or any other cone knockback power. The fact that you get teleported to the targeted area is a thematic thing, like Lightning Rod, which is essentially a targeted AoE damage power with knockdown, but as a thematic thing it also teleports the user to it.
tl;dr - I don't think the knockback direction is tied to your character in any other way than which direction you're facing when you first start it. Don't think it's anything remotely similar to Repel. -
IR is perma without any recharge reduction, isn't it?

Well, I'm most likely giving this a shot. Against All Odds + Fury + Rage sounds like some pretty sick damage output, really. Closer and closer to that 750% damagebuff cap... <_<
Heck, AAO sounds perfectly fitting to the Brute theme and Fury in general - You hit me? I get angry and hit you back HARDER. You surround me? I get angry and SMASH.
Aside from Rage crashes (which are supposedly getting changed to not target +def sets unfairly), this sounds like a winner of a combo to me. Anyone else going to try this particular powerset combination when i13 comes out? -
Too much effort to get it to work right, not even close to being worth the bother. And it's not like the team would enjoy waiting for you to perform these awkward maneuvers with the time bomb anyway.
-
This actually looks even better for MMs now than a straight port would have.
-
The second toggle has Ranged AND AoE.
And did anyone SERIOUSLY expect a SHIELD set to have a self heal or regeneration in it? Seriously? -

I either found them easy or impossible so no titanic battles to describe I'm afraid. Seems to work that way for MMs, or at least Dark ones
[/ QUOTE ]Tell me about it... Thugs/Dark here. Most of them go down effortlessly, but the ones that don't are nigh-impossible to beat. There seems to be no middle-ground. -
It's not really that bad the first time. But it gets moderately ridiculous when I've robbed the PI bank for Wiggy the Brit like 30 times now and I still have to run to him, then to an Arachnos Flyer on the other side of the map outside of the Grandville walls, and then back to him again to report on my success.

Seems a bit odd to have the same power in two pools

If you change it from after you have done the first big heist (mayhem mission) you get the phone. But never before that one then I am (reluctantly) in favour.
Even if I think that we should not encourage people to do newspaper jobs all the time.

Maybe after doing one bank mission for them, they'll let you call them for any further ones?
[/ QUOTE ] -
Please? It's nothing more than an inconveience that we have to trek across the zone to the broker just to get (or even turn down!) the bank mission, and again after finishing it.
Would be so much nicer if we could just call them like a normal contact. Maybe after doing one bank mission for them, they'll let you call them for any further ones? -
Most level 50 Brutes I see around are Willpower tbh.
-
Actually it was my gripe with Blasters. Scrappers and Brutes can -take- damage, too. :P
Trying that Plant/Sonic Troller, currently level 10. How will it perform at higher levels, though? Would you prefer a Plant/Sonic or a Grav/Kin with you on a ITF or LGTF or other high level content? -

But I have listened to what you have said and can not help but think that you would be best suited to a Dark Melee / Super Reflexes scrapper. You would always have something to aim for, and that to my mind is what drives a great alts forward. I have a couple of good alts that have all the goods that have stalled because they just dont seem to be able to be challenged.
[/ QUOTE ]I totally would, but I'd probably enjoy this combo more as a Brute. And that thought would haunt me and make me unable to enjoy it as a Scrapper, probably... -
Col. Blitzkrieger - My main, and my first level 50, an Elec/Elec/Mu Brute. A purely random coincidence of thought patterns, as we were talking about nazi Germany in history class at the time, I was randomly reading up on the 5th Column on Paragon Wiki (and thought they were so much more awesome than the Council), and felt like trying out a Brute after I first got bored with hero-side. Elec/Elec just stood out to me as something that seemed rather unique on paper, and boy did I fall in love with it, and the character. The shortened form of the 'Colonel' title was inspired by the Archvillain named Col. Burkholder.
Operative Harvestman - Also known as Daddy Long-Legs, a harvestman is a type of arachnid. Er, simple concept there, but I felt it sounded spidery while still resembling a realistic last name. Crab Spider.
Dr. Ecco - Invulnerability/Super Strength Tanker, though I RP him as Sonic Aura/Sonic Melee. He's actually in a thematic duo with his sidekick, a Sonic/Sonic Defender named Decibel. (Surprisingly strong duo, even.) Name inspired from Ecco the Dolphin, to be honest.
Caldera - Fire/Fire Dominator, my female Hellion character. The name's a bit iffy, as it's actually a formation left behind when the magma chamber underneath a volcano is depleted, but that didn't cross my mind at the time, it just made me think of volcanoes... Eh.
Frostworker - Currently deleted, so the name's up for grabs. Was an Ice/Cold Corruptor. Frostwork, if my English skills don't fail me, is that nifty patterned crystalline formation you get on windows and the like during winter sometimes. -

9.) not to go against it but, what IS the problem with waal crawling?
[/ QUOTE ]
Just the number of extra animations really afaik. Not only do you need to make the animations for moving, you have to create alterantive animations for every single power for use while wall crawling.
[/ QUOTE ]What about problems walls that are not perfectly vertical? I recall something about players aligning properly to surface tilt being impossible/unfeasible with the current engine too, which was one of the main reasons for not having quadrupedal pets or vehicle travel powers. -
In reply to Thunderforce: Brutes can take hits and don't get mezzed when something sneezes in their general direction.
Anyway, I think I'm going to give a Controller a shot, again... However, after trying a few Earth trollers in the past I'd like something different.
I'm thinking either Plant/Sonic or Gravity/Kinetics. Any comments? -

elemental melee
[/ QUOTE ]
Whats that?
[/ QUOTE ]Fire Melee, Ice Melee, Stone Melee... -
Yes, please.
Though, as the total requirement is 1000, having the slow-moving progress bar would potentially be even more depressing. :b -
1) I'd split Elemental Melee powersets into branching choices, one with elemental weapons, one without.
2) Recolor Corruptor Energy Blast red as Dominators'.
3) Give Corruptor Electric Blast sound effects like those from the Mu Mastery PPP. "KRACKABOOM" instead of "bzzt".
First few things that came to mind. -
No, it'd look like something retarded out of Final Fantasy or Bleach or something, where gigantic swords are weightless.
