That's true dedication.
Congratulations, everyone. -
Quote:I did much the same thing. One of my SG-mates has been playing for nearly a year now, but he's only recently got into badging. He's been collecting the explos and defeats, and has mentioned a few times how he hasn't got any GM badges because he never sees any teams forming when he sees Lusca or Jack etc in the zones when he encoutners them.
He had a go against Lusca solo on his 50 PB, with predictable (to me) results. We're doing TFs with him to get those, and today I logged in and got skype running, and as we were playing he told me of an encoutner he had earlier that day with a GM.
He spotted said GM whilst hunting ghosts in Croatoa, tabbing for the next mob. He told me that he'd never seen this particular monster before, and hadn't tried soloing one since he became T4 incarnated, so he figured what the heck, he'd have a go. He thought it best not to take any chances, so he buffed up, ate a full tray of large inspirations, got all his pets out (even his Shivans and Warwolves), charged in and unleashed his Judgement for an initial strike...
Poor Sally didn't stand a chance, really.
I laughed like a drain when he told me this. He said that only then did he check out Sally on paragonwiki, and after hanging round for half an hour, he defeated her the second time with a shot from his tier 1 attack.

For what it's worth, this is fixed on Beta right now.

Congratulations to Horus for hittin' fifty on yet another scrapper, Titan Valkyrie (TW/WP).

Quote:Except you'd be payin' exactly the same amount that those people did who were subscribed for that long at fifteen bucks a month, probably less if you buy the points in bulk to get the subsequent tokens. Technically, it's exactly fair in terms o' money spent.Yeah, I honestly did shell out money to get up to so I could get Reveal and a few other powers (and to be on par with my hubby and his friends as far as badges...yes I'm a badge *****), but I'm still no where close to getting the tier 9 armours, and when they announced putting them in the "vault" I almost shrieked with anger. I'm all for doing it through the market, or other ways, but it's not fair to those of us who HAVEN'T been playing for 5-6+ years to not have access to things unless we shell out lots of money.

Yup, I lost about 2 or 3 HP/sec difference, and about 20ish HP from T3 to T4 today.

Welcome, brethren.
-
When you achieve all the challenge badges, you receive an additional badge titled "Master of" whatever the content was, like BAF or Keyes or what have you.
-
Congratulations to Azizi on hittin' the big 5-0 on their first and namesake character.
-
Sorry to see you go, Avatea.
Best o' luck in wherever your endeavors land you and your family. -
Hopefully it'll be fixed tomorrow as I hit 50 on my TW/WP recently and wanted to pick up Vigor as his Alpha.
-
59 hours to level my TW/WP brute to 50.
Way to go, me.
Thanks, guy. I appreciate it. -
So?
He died once already in the comic book.
Thanks for the heads-up, though. -
I said much the same thing in a "Why do you play your SoA" thread, and it didn't get quite the reaction that I expected, so I'll go ahead and "That is good." this.

To the OP;
Their trial, their rules.
If you want to include unlevel-shifted people in an Incarnate Trial, run one yourself.
Everyone gets what they want.
Problem solved. -

Quote:I suppose that was my point as the examples I listed were end-game opponents, only that it would become more so, perhaps with more Psi in MoM-like scenarios. This is already prevalent in the end-game. Not just in the form of unresistible damge like Keyes, but in the damage types Incarnate-centric foes deal. For example, War Works deal heavily in ranged Energy damage, and 9CU-line robots and IDF Heavy Commanders deal the thoroughly odd combo of Toxic and Energy damage at range. Seers also of course deal in Psi damage, and also wield terrorize effects, which a lot of melee powersets lack protection from.
They also deal significant defense and DR debuffs, which are auto-hit.
It's worth noting that such foes are not totally new - the IDF bear a lot of similarity in terms of damage they deal to Arachnos, with less Fire damage and more Energy. It's worth noting, especially since Arachnos predates IOs, that they seem to have been designed to bypass common powerset protections more than IOs, per se. However, I think those same design happen to also serve well against IO'd characters, and I think it's telling that some of the abilities underwent such a direct translation into "end game" critters.
And now that I've been ruminatin' on this a bit more, they could just have more objectives that aren't incomin' attacks/damage related, such as BAF with the escapees, where your defense and resistance aren't a factor in helpin' to complete that particular portion o' the trial. -
This is actually a very good point. With that in mind, perhaps this should be elevated as an issue and game management should take another look at their unenforced policy. With the game havin' gone hybrid F2P, if they were goin' to come back, it could be safely assumed that they would have by now and they should release those names.
