Hades, the reason this channel was created is probably a private issue and one that the creators aren't willing to share. If you knew them, you'd be able to make some educated guesses.
And since it's apparent that an answer won't be provided, I suggest finding out the answer to the only question that should really matter to you. "Do I like the channel and want to be in it."
There are too many mods and too many mods that arent known.
Dontcha just hate when 'someone' impersonates someone else? -

Why are you not stressing the adoption of one of the others already being used?
Honestly shouldn't all servers have these channels:
Exalted TF/SF
Exalted LFT
Exalted Trials
Why not promote the existing ones if it isn't to change who is in charge?
As Celestial stated, there is no use to get into the particulars as to why this was done. If you look back in the channel thread that lists them all, i even state i also feel that there are too many as it is. -

It is a new channel like all the other new channels because the person who gets to choose who is silenced is different.
This is the exact issue with why we need an in game true global LFT channel.
New folks are silenced because of course they would not want to start a team. -

There was an event ran by @Amygdala on the Champion Server called "MA Mondays".
People would submit their MA arcs and she would form teams and do. I think she would try to do 3 a night depending on length.. On some Mondays she would just pull from the library and run those. It was a pretty successful event.. Perhaps there would be some interest here for something similiar?!?

What? I do believe theres hundreds of SGs on Exalted. Obsidian Operations isn't the only one. Last time I checked, Matt said nothing about prestige, or how big we are in the first post of his. The OP did ask for an SG. I'm glad theres activity on Exalted in terms of SGs/VGs. Why need an SG when you have global channels for teams etc, besides storage and tps(ouroboros at 14 and connected trains). Matt is right before all Groups start posting there would be problems. Not so sure about griefing.
Excuse me? I do believe Converting is an Option, so is playing the game with SG mates. Me and the other Members do like Obsidian Operations, they are the best in my opinion. I haven't been in a SG this active and helpful. The coalition is very active. We did not have #1prestige the first 2weeks when Exalted Launched if I remember correctly. Also Matt only converted 11bill, another converted 3bill to get us ahead of Prestige.
Not so sure about Matts Attitude, but I do like your reply on that one thread when one was looking for a RP SG. At least someone directed them to a previous thread. Matt does have a point, use the SG/VG Group threads. This will help people find what they're looking for.
Yes, we're very active, this is why we have 3bases full. Matt and the other leaders constantly run teams and events inside/outside SG. I do call Its Me Matt a no life due to how active he is. But we're good friends.
Oh, Last time I checked, The Incarnates SG is ahead of us in Prestige if I guess you have problems with Matt leading teams/events with SGMates to acquire prestige.you combine both of their bases together.
I made my apologies in that thread to the op, and the thread has since been completely removed. Nevermind the fact that it has zero to do with this post. Your point is moot. What he said came across in more of a manner in which he was irritated with the fact that another sg advertised in this same thread after obsidian did the very same thing. It has the appearance of being a tad hypocritical.

Not sure where I ever said this, perhaps youd like to point it out to me. If you read how i started off my post, youd see that I said i had no problems with him.. and I dont. He and Obsidian has been helpful during hami raids.
RE: Converting Inf to prestige.
Im well aware it is an option in the game. The point I was making is the way Obsidian is being touted in both the signatures being used & the words spoken by Osidian members, is misleading. Converting to make functioning bases i can see, but, converting and then saying youre # 1 in prestige gives a completely different impression. Youre not # 1 on this server because you've earned it, it was paid for. Thats the point I making.
Again, sorry to the OP for my part in derailing this thread, Ive made my point. I do hope youve found a solid home and enjoy the game.

Good luck being the biggest sg on Exalted. there is a SG/VG thread. Created to advertise your sg in a organized, non problematic, non griefing way. This would be griefing, problems how some view this. I dont have a problem if sgs advertise. but its a problem if you do it ontop of each other.
Celestial is right. You dont have a lock on being the only SG on this server and the claims that youre the #1 sg and have the most prestige is misleading in how it was obtained. If my sg (or others for that matter) cared to convert BILLIONS AND BILLIONS of Influ into prestige the day that Exalted went live, we could stake that claim as well.
Purchasing the #1 spot doesnt make you the best. -

As far as a ladder Im currently running one on Victory. Its a 1v1 duel ladder using an elo scoring system and challenges. It seems to be working ok we've only had to make a few minor rule changes.
y'all want fair balanced pvp that you'll actually learn something from, this is who you need to talk to. -
you certainly learn who your "friends" are (or arent, in this case) when you do things on a different server. pretty ****** stupid if you ask me.
