Thats solo. No way to PL in that game. Was but isnt now. You can't even be in a spot where a mob can't get to you and snipe them and kill them. Your made to confront mobs. They definatly made it so if there is no risk, you get no reward. Finishing quests is big XP. I just do quest after quest to level.

I wont leave CoH, but I have started to play another game. It's better than I thought! No, not WoW that stinks. AoC, been playing for a bout a week. Already have a level 34 running around solo. Cool game. I always liked the books and movies anyway

I havent. Like I said, before I didnt care about this. After I found out what I did from meeting someone, it changed my mind. Not that I care enough to get upset over it. Doesnt affect me any. But it is sad they lose a lot of new players cause of it.

I know they(devs) wont do anything but maybe pull the popup from happening so soon. Probably not even that. Maybe there is a reason they want people to zoom to 50. Who knows. I know that they couldnt had been stupid enough not to know this would happen with AE. I'm sure they played it themselves even before closed beta.

This isn't directed at you personally, but this wording is something I see used very often in similar posts. "Get stuck", as though they don't have a quit button on their team window like everyone else.

The other thing I've seen a lot is people making it sound as though 50s and other high levels are actively wrangling new people. From what I've seen, there's FAR more low level people hitting up Broadcast LOOKING for a team than the reverse. From the description some people use (again, not you personally), it comes across like lvl 50 fire/kins are hiding in corners in Atlas, whispering to newbies "hey.. you want some xp? I got the good stuff." like drug dealers or some such nonsense.

Not hard to figure out. And it happens. Not my damned fault people dont tell them what they need to know. Not my damed fault they dont learn for themselves. But the crap happens. and we lose players cause of it.

Not everyone does research on a game and learns about it before they play.

Ranting about the other stuff some are doesnt fix new players getting burned out from being dumb enough to be stuck in atlas. Lt/Boss XP in MA missions isnt the point here, or being able to have custom single mobs in it with low risk.

You know, at least before AE people had to work towards getting a certain contact to get the right missions to PL. Even if a newbie got sucked into that, they would want it for themselves at some point. They would have to work through the game to get that contact. They would learn the game by doing that.

Now, NOPE. Just log into atlas and get on a team and BANG, a new person can get stuck in there and never learn that there is more.

BTW, the person I met hit 50 in NO time at all and said that he really didnt know what he was doing and it got on his nerves a bit when people would say certain things about his game play. It really isnt 100% his faught, he said it just happen so damned fast.

No matter what anyone says, this is the truth. I have the proof to show it. I have experienced it in person with someone. People can rant all they want. Truth is truth.

I have been finding out that people that got the AE box, a lot have got burned out quickly and left. Now that I talked to the person I mentioned in my first post he is telling those who came to the game with him that they have someone to show them the rest of the game now, and that there is a BUNCH more to it than just AE. I'm glad they are willing to give it another go since they found out that the game has real content now. More than just AE.

Before I met this person, I didn't care. Now I have SEEN it for myself and it is sad.

They bought the AE box recently, having never played before that. They played for about a month and got bored with the AE stuff. They apparently quit because they thought AE was the whole game.

The OP seems to have met them in real life somewhere and CoH came up in conversation. The OP explained about the stuff the person in question missed, as a result the person is interested in the game again, and will be coming back to see the stuff they missed.

You are 100% correct. That is what happen. And I know for a fact, there is more than one this happen to. Maybe they need to put something in outbreak to tell new people that there is more to the game than AE before they get swamped with AE team LFM!

A lot of lies on that paper anyway. One in the description...Twixt" became perhaps the game's most reviled, abused player because his playing methods were unpopular.

Not many knew this goofball. He played on one server. Mostly PvP. He wasnt the GAMES MOST REVILED ABUSED player. Peckerwood was on one server, in one zone most of the time.

Thats a bunch of bull. Probably only about 1-2% of the player base, probably less, knew Twixt. Played on one server, mainly in a PvP zone...not that many people really. I didnt know who this person was untill this.

Dont know if you guys remember, but I was upset that I was having a hard time making *good amounts* of inf on the markets. Well I can say that after I got around 200 mill to play with it became much easyer. Now i'll see how long it takes me to hit cap. The things I was using to make inf have been not so good anymore. I need to find something else to make huge amounts with little effort.

The way I did it was to buy something that I could sell for 2 or more times what the recipe sold for. I dont like to mess with small profit margins. Crafting 90% of the time. I don't mind having to wait 3-7 days for a sale, as long as it sells. It was worth the waiting for the amount of profit I made at a single sale.

Seems like the recipes are going for the same amount as the crafted IO. Same with purples. Getting kinda hard to make inf buying the recipe and crafting it.
