That, and it is probably the most banal character in the lore. They need to stop using him as a mascot. Now there is a redname who goes by The Television. That is taste.

I'm always a scrapper. Blasters, masterminds, tankers, dominators, I play them as scrappers! Except if they are srappers, 'cause that would just be banal.

Quote:It's actually that some of those are required for too many popular recipes, so marketeers did not do it anyway.Actually, I would like to express my gratitude to those market folks that have helped make cetain common and uncommon salvage drops worth far more than their base cost. I rely on this to help outfit my low level characters.
For example: The ever popular luck charm. If I sell one of these at the average store I get 250 inf. On the market I can get as much as 50-70K for these on a good day. For a low level character, thats more than enough money to last at least through DO's. Maybe even into SO's.
So, please keep driving those prices up. We're all depending on you. -

Hardly dumbing down to remove a mechanic that is pure challengeless click botting.
I'm not seeing any good arguments against this, just against the nerfs or overpoweredness that some assume it would involve. The only increase in power for a defender who usually buffs the whole team would be buffing summons, and that would be trivial in most teams. I could see it being used to send minions to tank, but that can be done anyway if the bubbler simply targets them instead.
Those who buff while the team moves would be getting to attack instead during those 30 seconds, but it is an open question whether the devs consider that offensive downtime part of bubbler balance or not. I suspect that it is considered part of the balance of shorter buffs such as speed boost, which is why I did not mention that power.
The equip buff was a far more drastic cast time and endurance discount than this would be. However, it also acted as a sort of nerf to mastermind endurance during battles, so I could imagine an argument being made that a buff/nerf to equips does not justify a true buff to the bubble powers. To that I'd respond that annoyance is not balance and that it would not dramatically increase buffer power. -
I've got it with i15 numbers and PVP IOs due to mixing files posted at their board.
-
It does not do anything to "balance" the set, unlike empathy powers being single target, because buffing away from battle is trivial.

What program can open and edit these?

Quote:Would you actually be able to defeat a +5 or +6 hellion faster than a +0 or +1 normal mob? I doubt that.A lot of people seem to be suggesting this as a good idea, however if it went through like this it would just lead to a new method of power leveling.
Lets take one of my characters as an example, the character is currently a level 46 earth/ta controller. If this character kept full powers at all levels whilst exemped and still earned xp as if fighting at its natural level all I would need to do is team up with a level 1 with xp turned off and their dificulty settings maxed out as if its a team of eight on max.
Even debuffed as if fighting +5's I would still be able to wipe the floor with large groups of hellions for easy xp and laughable risk levels. At higher levels players get better and better debuffs and soft/hard controls which low level mobs have no resistances or defences against.
Also that is just an example. They could even be +10. -
Grant cover is an AoE buff that can ignore the caster.
The equip powers were not nerfed in any way, other than increased endurance. There would be no need to call people to gather because if any of them are away you can just cast it again.
Deflection Shield
Endurance: 7.8
Recharge: 2s
AoE Deflection Shield
Endurance: 23.4 (equip powers multiplied by 3 or less when they got the AoE buff)
Recharge: 2s
In other words, most of the concerns being expressed here would be irrelevant. No gather calls, no obscene levels of endurance use, no nerfs due to it buffing the caster.
The only thing brought up here that would be an issue would be a case where you don't want to buff some player. Why wouldn't you? Perhaps they don't like the graphics of the buff? That does not make a lot of sense with FF since they get similar graphics just by being in dispersion bubble, which adds a bubble graphic to anybody in it.
There is another issue that has not been brought up: max targets. However, dispersion bubble has no effective max target cap, and it involves far more calculations as a toggle than this would, so I do not think that would come up.
Quote:That is just how the euip powers work. You "single target" by clicking any specific target. Since it does not stack any who already have it ignore it.Also, I think there ought to be a way to control whether the buff is an AoE buff or a single-target buff (like click the power to single-target buff, but shift-click to AoE buff). For example, if a teammate misses my AoE bubble buff, I can single-target buff that teammate the old-fashion way. Then there is no need to ask people to gather around me for buffs, I can just throw out an AoE buff, and single-target buff people who don't catch the AoE. -
The point is that these abominations are still the mainstream hero content.
Why have they not at least made the NPCs give you cell phones immediately? That would probably be extremely simple to do compared to most dev tasks.
For everybody whining about how MA farms make a bad impression with newbies, they make a far better impression than the ****ty mechanics of the default content.
And before MA most hero PUGs were scanner spammers, which is just another kind of farm.
I just started a warshade and my playstyle is to do maybe 1 or 2 missions, then log if the mission teleporter is recharging. That's WITH an inherent travel power. -
Maybe they will add lava and crystal entities... though that sounds like a bad idea if they can't be customized either, and your ruby tanker suddenly turns to amethyst.

Like mastermind buffs.
FF
Sonic
Cold
Thermal
Each of these sets would be far more playable and less annoying if these buffs were AoEs.
Deflection Shield
Endurance: 7.8
Recharge: 2s
AoE Deflection Shield (ignores caster the way Grant Cover does)
Endurance: 23.4 (equip powers multiplied by 3 or less when they got the AoE buff)
Recharge: 2s -
I'd let you use every power, but apply some major debuffs, as if the enemies you're fighting are +5.

Quote:Yeah, that's what those who had been in betas told me last time.If you're invited, then the hidden forums will appear for you beneath the regular forums. That's an easier way of checking than trying to log in.
Unless, of course, things have changed since the I11 beta...
That's also how I missed the beta I was invited to, because not every beta does things that way. Was quite a shock to learn that I was invited after it was over... -
If we don't get the e-mail, but are invited, will we be able to log in?
I haven't gotten any support e-mails while sending petitions for a while, so I've just been logging in to test to see if I got access.
Some emails from support do come, and the provider has no spam block settings, so I can't guess why I am not getting replies to petitions. -
I should be in closed beta because I have excellent analytical skills, familiarity with programming and particularly with some of what's involved in development of both online databases and games, a strong attention to detail, understanding that closed beta should not be expected to be in a releasable state, and the creativity to suggest original and efficient solutions specifically intended to not require heavy dev resources.

While most of this is very positive, I've got some reservations:
If it is set to the level of the mission owner, not the mission itself, this will make it impossible to exemp to the level of missions you got before leveling.
If the owner levels during the mission, will everybody be fighting -1's?
Everybody is going to be filtering email, which will make it useless for contacting a person who does not add you to their list. Wouldn't it be a lot more effective to stop spam by limiting accounts to, say, 10 e-mails per day to people who don't list you? I suggest that doing so would stop spam and let players continue using e-mail openly if they want to.
This makes even more of a case for a Pocket D AE, since RWZ becoming Atlas Park would interfere with raids.
If the leader leaves and a lowbie gets auto-promoted, that could cause team wipes.
Will switching the leaders make summons despawn as exemplaring currently does?
That's not a post of DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM, just some things that should be noted. Some of it may be addressed in beta, but assuming that would not be very useful feedback. -
I think so too, BUT this means that they can potentially get it with an earth mastery pool.
-
If you get a low level edict of the master: def as a villain I'll buy it.

Quote:Of course it is, just not as much as Ice/Ice/Ice.
Ice/Mental is it cool?
I just got it to 50, and it is reasonably good at everything: ST, AoE, defense through Drain Psyche. You have to get positioned fast to AoE well though since you have 2 cones.
