Great Guide.
I do however differ in oppinion on one thing. The Hollow's Trap is less of trap as it is an alternative place to be in that level range.
Personally, I'm so sick of running around doing the same missions in Kings Row/Steel/Perez/Skyway that I've welcomed the new content and changes that they've brought to The Hollows. Now, since the missions are in the same region as the contact who gives them to you, travel powers aren't even needed to make it tollerable.
It's all a matter of personal taste, but since this is an I12 guide, The Hollows is where some of that new I12 content is. -
Nice work !
One question though, are you gloss coating them, or is it just the camera ? -
Nice work.
I'll have to do dig through my charecters and commission something. -
Just cheked out your work Foo, and I must say it's beautifull.
I'll have to comission something. I just need to figure out what -
I agree with Heraclea on all points.
I took the toggles early on, but got in the habit of not even turning them on, unless things started going south. There are plenty of fights you just don't need status protection and the resistances aren't that high pre-SO's that they make a huge difference. -
Great Guide!
Not only was it informative, it was entertaining to read. -
Umm A++ for good intentions, but every bad guy in COH can drop salvage. What they drop is randomly determined and affected by thier faction.

It's a pretty standard marketting thing. You create a binary progression (1,2,4,8) but you skew the final tier by adding something extra for very little. In this case, you get a 5th slot by paying 1 penny more.

And it WORKS !!!
I'll be dropping $19.99 the day issue 12 goes live -
I see a whole lot of whining because people either didn't get their dream combos, or because the combos will make PVP more interesting for them.
Personally, I think everyone, except stalkers, made out pretty well.
I don't know what would have been a better secondary choice for stalkers off the top of my head, but I think any of the weapon sets would have been a better choice than electric.
All in all, we got what was easy to port over and it should keep us busy for a few thousand hours -
I'm in the same boat as scientist. The list is great, but if I can't print it and refer to it while playing it's of limted use.
I tried converting the site to a PDF, but it's soo wide that it doesn't print well. -
I'm really excited about everything new in I12.
I do have the same concern as other do about the costume unlock process.
Personally, I'd be happy to run a charecter through a story arc to earn the costume (Witches hat), but I'd loathe to earn credits to buy the pieces (Vanguard). -
I really enjoyed reading the guide, and Haetron has been brilliant about responding to people, but seriously, I think it all comes down to complaining that the resistance set with controls doesn't have resistance values on par with with reisitance sets without controls, which is entirely how it should be.
If Dark Armors resistance were raised closer to that of the other resitance based sets, combined with it's controls, and a half way competant player, it would outshine the other sets.
Actually using the controls is the flavor of the set. -
I was inpsired by this thread, but I got sidetracked before I finished.

I'd be happy with kheldians in COV, even if the only change was the names and the colors of the powers.
It would be worth it to play through the different environments and story arcs with a squid. -
I'm with Culach on travel powers. Most of my villains waited untill they were 30 before they got travel powers, and their temp travel powers ran out. Since Radio missions went live for heroes I do much the same with them as well.
If you use the GvE Jump Pack with the Temp SuperJump power you can jump nearly a mile in a single bound, more than enough most of the time to get from mission to mission.
The additions of the Pocket D TP and the Vet Base TP also lessen the dependancy on travel powers in the current game as well. With a fully loaded base, pretty much any zone in the game is only 2 TPs away. -

Corruptor: AGGRO MAGNET
This corruptor has chosen aoe damage primary and debuff secondary, (Fire/Dark for example), and will gleefully lay down that slow/immobilize then start their attack chain, before everyone has zoned in, OR before the brutes can come in to hopefully manage the aggro. (I'm guilty of this, I admit it).

The idea isn't to give them cool names to encourage people to play that way, but to give them condecending names that they won't want -
There are 60+ views of the thread and no responces pertaining to the figure.
Is it that bad or simply soo awesome it leaves everyone speachless?

I watched the DVD and thought what a great outfit, so I customized my own figure

That "Epic Mount" tale brings tears to my eyes everytime I read it. Seriously, it's one of the funniest MMO related things to ever happen.
I'm actually suprised we didn't see an Epic wave of men offering 5,000+ gold for other women intersted in mounts -
I haven't read the crossover, but would guess that while Supes is vulnerable to magic he is pretty well protected from the blunt trauma of a Mjolnir Strike.
Supes' superspeed is conveninetly forgotten on a regular basis. Someone of his strength who could hit 10 times a second should be able to grind damn near anyone into paste, including Thor.
Heat Vision, a 10 to 1 strike ratio, and Godlike strength going for Superman, while Thor pretty much has Godlike strength and more martial skill.
I rule in favor of Superman. -
Why do I need these stinkin' badges
You don't, but some badges are needed to unlock accolades.
Accolades are badges that grant you in game benefits like temp powers or endurance and health increases
I assume the list is to help us newbies, but the language is not newbie friendly
It's to help everyone. There are soo many things to do it's difficult to keep them all straight.
You'll pick up the lingo as you go along.
"How do I find this First Atlas contact" When I started the game I had a mission to go talk to someone inside city hall, but not someone under the Atlas statue.
That's the contact he was talking about. The first contact you were assigned in City Hall.
Defeat: 25 Rikti Unexploded Bombs (Rikti Zone Invasion) Watchman
Does this mean that as a level 1-4 I should go to the Rikti zone or wait around for a Rikti invasion?
Well, since you can't get into the Ritki Warzone untill you hit level 35, you'll have to nab them during raids.
It is a common practice to list the minimum possible level required to do a feat. Accolades are only availalbe when examplaring down to the level they were earned. So the earlier you can obtain an accolade the better off you are.
Now that the invasion event is over, it's not really practacle to attempt to earn it in that range, but it's theretically possible to if you wre patient enough.
Defeat: 10 Rikti Heavy Assault Suits (Rikti Zone Invasion) Watchman
same ? in an Rikti battle there are dozens of heroes, how do I get credit for the defeat?
As long as you caused damage to him, or were on a team that caused damage to him, then you will get credit once it is defeated.
6. Defeat: 100 Rikti (Rikti Zone Invasion) Watchman
Note: Items 4, 5 and 6 will be tough to complete after the Rikti Invasion world event of i10 ends. Only completing the Lady Grey Task Force will trigger a random Zone Invasion then, and it may take you all 50 levels to get these 3 badges.
7. Level in:
* Atlas Park levels 1-6
* Galaxy City levels 1-6
What does "level in" mean?
They will be X level in the follwing zones. As in the opponents you come accross in those zones will fall within that level range..
Sorry to be "Super Newbie"
Don't worry, we all were at one point.
This game has a pretty steep learning curve. I find that is part of what makes mastering it feel so rewarding. -
This thread got me thinknig about what my hero would look like in Unlimited Style.
This is what I came up with.

Will do.
I've got another idea for something that's a bit more of the Easter Egg variety.
I'll toss up the pics when I'm finished.
