  1. Agreed

(Even though I think you piggybacked this off of something I said a little while ago. )

I understand what you mean. That would be cool.

It'd be nice if they'd start giving some solid info and update the GR website with it. It looked like all the Tyrant info is "ready for print" to that site, but it's over a week since HeroCon with no update.

I'm holding off my 1-year promo subscription by using time cards until I see if there's actually going to be significant level 50 content. The tongue-in-cheek comments about it are starting to get a little bit insulting.

    That's definitely Eps.

I understand your point TJ, but I hope you aren't implying that it's the players' responsibility to make sure bugs don't go to live. We get the privilege to help, but it's not our responsibility to test 2 long-standing systems (TF/SF & Flashback) for bugs that shouldn't exist.

I'm not trying to call you out or anything, but QA gets paid to make sure things like this don't happen.
  6. Yeah, this patch seems to have broken more than it fixed.

Count me as confirming the following bugs:

    Team Window Blank Names
Flashback Arcs spawning groups lower than the character level (exploitable)
    TF/SF spawning at -1 (exploitable)

This patch needs to be rolled back.

Also, I'm with macskull in not understanding the ARENA change. Is taht some sort of fringe case fix?

I made some modifications to the strategy above. After running the SF tonight, I was reminded that the ambushes don't really start until Reichsman takes ~ 5-10% Damage. Once the ambushes start, the team is most safe being in the "foxhole" until the ambushes slow to a trickle.

It'd be great to see all of those changes mac. Good job with the list.
  9. Yep, Halloween Event testing.

In my opinion, the safest way to do this mission:

Step 1 - Clear the mobs to find Black Scorpion.
Step 2 - Clear everything on the way to each of the other Patrons.
Step 3 - During/Before the final Patron fight, someone with Recall Friend needs to get to either the entrance or the Dead End that has the stone wall enclosure - typically the area where you find Ghost Widow. (Explanation: This will keep the ambushes coming from 1 direction while they are spawning.)
Step 4 - Everyone get buffed by the machine (except the Recaller).
Step 5 - Everyone except Recaller stays on Reichsman until the ambushes start. Once they start, Recaller gets everyone out as fast as possible in order of most to least squishie. (With a Stalker on the team, you can spam the failsafe glowies to keep the team safe. You won't need them later.)
Step 6 - Stay in the enclosure with the Brute(s) taking the hits until the abushes stop. They do stop eventually. You're basically dealing with the entire map being respawned and aggroed onto the team.
Step 7 - Once the ambushes stop or slow down to a manageable level, work your way back to the final room, clear out the 5th column, and take down Reichsman.

If you want to skip step 4, you can, but the Dom/Corr combo kill is pretty useful for the ambushes.
  13. The Resistance just got a lot cooler. Ice Tanker reporting for duty.
  14. Dump,

I was gonna +1 you for that epic RP, but I'm at my 24-hour rep limit. Good show sir.
  15. I've been wondering for a while now.

Who decided to have the silence-upon-entry option for the "more casual" TW 2.1?

Yep. Just like TON said as well, PowerPro could affect my decision.

I'm not sure if they would proliferate for Blasters, MMs, or Controllers since they would all be getting a new set. If they proliferate before i18, then we might see Blasters get a new secondary.

    Duel Pistols (:

    Yeah, it's wearing me out.

    Dual Pistols

I'm not sure. /Dev looks good for the concept and name I have picked out, but I'm still looking at the other sets.

It wasn't answered fully, but Positron did say, "We're trying to do it in a way to make the most players happy with us possible."

Basically, they're trying to figure out a way that it's not going to piss people off.

    • Heroes can become Vigilantes which can then become Villains
    • Villains can become Rogues which can then become Heroes
    • Thus the circle is Hero->Vigilante->Villain->Rogue->Hero
    • This system is usable by any character over X level (X is a number which has yet to be disclosed). It is not "just for Praetorians".
    • A Hero can go all the way to Villain and then back to Hero again, if they put in enough effort.
    • Praetorians do not use the normal GR system, but have points within their stories where they can choose "Loyalist (aka Villain)" or "Resistance (aka Hero)"
    • When Praetorians leave Praetoria for Primal Earth, they choose if they want to be considered a Hero or a Villain, and are plopped into Paragon or the Rogue Isles.
    • A Vigilante (Rogue) can travel to the Rogue Isles (Paragon City), and can team up with the Villains (Heroes) there. They can not use the markets while they are there however. They must be a full Villain (Hero) to use the markets.

Pretty sure that covers the info we gave out, including clarifying answers we gave on various panels over the weekend, and answers to specific questions we were asked by players.

I really, really want level 50 content, too. I'll make a Dual Pistols Blaster, but I want something for him to do at 50 even more than I want xp on the way there.

Here's a question and answer that happened recently to consider. The question is from a player. The second is from someone with GR information. It's vague on purpose. I'll let you make assumptions.

Player: Is is safe to assume that this event code will be used for raid-style content in GR?

Person with GR info: there will be lots of stuff in going rogue that you will like
  23. I don't know how to fix it, but in my experience, it's somehow related to Hiding options.
