Try this set up:
0 - spectral terror
0 - freezing rain
0 0 0 - mob
0 - you
Phanty, gale and hurricane can all be used to push the mobs into the freezing rain, with spectral terror fearing them as they try to escape...
As a stormie, you have loads of additional control, so spectral terror isn't as great as it is for us ill/other stuff, but fear is extremely effective, especially for dealing with ambushes. Well worth the power pick.
And definitely get hurricane, whether for debuffing their accuracy, or pushing them into corners for your aoe control to keep them locked down ready for AOE mass arrestage. -
Looks pretty good - slotting for energy transfer - 2acc, 3 dam, 1rchg. It uses virtually no end for such a damaging move (as it takes a touch of your hp instead) and you should be fine with that.
One slight suggestion - ditch the resistance and pick up hasten instead - brings aidself and energy drain round nice and fast, and same for your big hits - TF and ET (and BU and placate). Gives you far more survivability than a passive resistance (imo). Certainly works well on my em/ea brute. Will also bring conserve power back faster, which should help too.

absolutely awesome work. The camera pans, the brilliant atmospherics of the music, the transitions all absolutely 100% first rate.
I'll watch this everytime I need a reminder of how it should be done.

Anytime. I've been working on my first movie for ooh, about 3 months, and I'm still not happy with it
Plus there is an epic movie I'm making to go with one of the Ranger Tales - that one is going to take a helluva long time. But I always enjoy seeing how other people's movies.
Check out trimmers.org and find the Real World video - it is a truly awesome example of how it should be done. Probably the reason my first hasn't seen light is because it isn't as good(horrible perfectionist here!)

I manage fine with just energy drain (3 recharge, 1end mod - the other two are going in there later) and stamina and two endreds in entropy shield and energy cloak. All attacks are slotted 2 acc, 2end red, 2rechargered, apart from total focus and energy transfer which are 2acc 1end, 1 rec, 1 damage and 2acc, 3 damage, 1 recred respectively.
I have no need for conserve power (except perhaps in some prolonged AV fights) but I just carry the occasional cab for that.
One thing i will say, taunt is highly recommended for EA to supplement your aggro grabbing, especially with a single target based primary. -
Kin, if you use the demorecord function you can get the action devoid of the ui.
Type /demorecord nameofdemo
and demostop to turn on/off.
These are located in the COH folder in the subfolder client_demos.
Open using tweakCOH or khainestars demoediting program (link in his sig) and then record using fraps there.

That all seems fine to me Hammerfall - subs seem fair - if shadow fury is taking place, he can sub for Mighty (assuming i've understood that right)

A very nice first attempt Miss M
Getting smooth camera pans is a pain, and takes loads of practice, but really improves the finished product.
The action scenes were nicely done (with some cheeky demoediting) and I felt there could have done with being more of them rather than the flybys.
As transitions go, I find movies that use two (at the most three) types work the best, especially if they are simple - allows the content to shine, rather than the transition.
Good choice of tune, but in my opinion, the best movies match the music and the lyrics closely, for humour, or dramatic effect. Try and think about that as you go along.
Really enjoyed watching it, and look forward to seeing more Marvellous moviesand seeing how you develop your style.

The draw above lists the people who are still in, and the draw based on those people being available. A few players are "matchless" due to there being an uneven number left at this stage - they should be the first people to be called upon should a sub be needed. They will fight their match as if it was them who were drawn, losing a life in the event of a defeat.
I'd have loved to give a set time, but unfortunately due to RL commitments, I can't be about as much as I'd like to referee it, so decided to allow you all to schedule as best you can. If people prefer for next week, I'll set a time - I'll be making the draw for round 6 shortly after the deadline (i've cleared some time to do it), and will set the date/time then if people would prefer that approach. -
Yes Hammerfall, you will pass the round if you compete and win as a sub on a team.
The players who weren't drawn into a team are the first choice subs. They should be used above any other stand-ins. -

Ok, couple of things change - defence based only, and an extra power pool choice in the medicine pool, as EA lacks a self heal. However, you have the best mez protection in entropy shield, Overload, which is a 3 minute godmode power, and with aidself and energy drain, the ability to top up your health and endurance whenever you want it.
Both should be really good fun - EA is awesome on my brute, and my dark scrapper is a load of fun too - with the additional defence from shadow dweller, hide and CJ stacking, in the late game you'll be a pretty tough cookie. -

Pros - Main stalking tools in place early (AS, placate, BU, hasten) with stike and slash for other fighting with. Mez protection and smash/lethal resist in pre 20. Ranged attack in focus, and the sheer loveliness of Dark Regen for a massive heal every 12 seconds, with a greatly reduced endurance cost. So, at level 50, you've got 20% defence, plus resistances maxed, plus a self heal. Oh, and cloak of fear
Claws/Ea build coming soon. -

Are you guys certain about discharge - I've not seen any indication of who has subbed for him in the matches he has been drawn in

My build for Recessive Gene - works an absolute treat so far (just got energy transfer) - one thing I will say, Energy cloak is an awesome power, and allows you to play as a "heavy stalker", but it can be difficult to get your share of the fury in a multiple brute situation. The solution: taunt. Highly recommended to improve your fury generation. -
sadly my tactical uselessness is not affected, it's all real

Jum, give me a shout next time you are on villain side and i'll bring you along for a mission or two so you can see En/EA in action PVE style.
Just hit 32, and have been happily wandering about sk'd up to blind's stalker and doing ok. Aid Self is a must for the build - I'm skipping conserve power as I don't have end issues with stamina and energy drain, and taking taunt for extra fury generation/annoyance. Insanely good single target damage, but struggles to grab fury in a team with a more aoe centric brute. Not a problem though, as you'll do loads of damage anyway. Having tested Overload in the RV event, I can safely say you'll love it - it is imo the best level 38 power in the game.

Did a couple of AVs tonight villain side - Valkerie and Luminary. A dark/dark corr, a fire/dark corr, em/regen stalker, nin/nin stalker, and me on my energy/energy brute.
Happily took them down with the corrs spamming TG, and HT when it was up. The health bar was steadily moving with the stacked TGs (from two fluffies as well), but made it's biggeest dents when HT was used.
No idea on how to test the numbers though.
