Ugh, wish I hadn't been glued to Force Unleashed last night, I would probably have joined ya. Just forgot.....well, that and I'm kind of on a vidgame search, and I have no idea what for.....that "something more" attitude has hit me for video games and until GR comes out I'm not sure how much I'll be around other than Monday nights when I'm not working....

Besides, if you're not finding a team it's not that there arn't people there. Unfortunately, there was a mass exodos on Freedom not long ago, some due to other more "hip" games or whatever, and some due to character transfers. Funny thing about character transfers, everyone used to talk about Freedom and the farms and the lag, and the ignorance of "noobs" etc. Now every server has picked up most of ours and Freedom is now simply another server in the line-up. Oh, we still have the stuff I mentioned, but now, (As if Obama had taken over City of Heroes instead of the Presidential Office...) we've spread the wealth.
There is good news though, when you find a team, you are less likely to find people who have all 4 travel powers and no actual archetype powers, or as many people who will sit AFK at the entrance of the mission while the group goes to fight. Or the inevitable Blapper who thinks he's a tank, who disperses agro so that the entire team wipes on almost every single group. NOW, we have players who play the game and enjoy it. Even the farmers are less like they used to be after all!

I just hope between us and Electric Eddie we can lure people into the trap of Task forces on New Years Eve. Especially Eddie, since he'll be in the Shard working for people on Dr. Q! It'll be the first time in like 3 years I didn't spend New Years Eve (or at least half of it) with him! So consider yourself blessed with my presence.....lol, ok, who am I kidding, you'll be cursed with it! MUHAHAHAAAAAA *cough cough* I mean, er, um. *smile* -
Hey Luna, I can't be certain that I will be there every monday because of work....which you know. But As I will try to be as regular as 2 out of every 3 mondays, I'll be playing on my Controller at least for much of the run this time around, Lady Universe. Mostly because she's one of my oldest heroes and still only in her 30's, which is a good age.....but by now she should be 50, but she doesn't look it. =P N E Way, Lady Universe, Gravity/Kinetic Controller. Hey Gin, I think I'll prolly be in for all 3. I'll use Maximar since there's not a debuffer yet NEWay and I'll most likely have the drunken part covered since I'll be off New Years Eve and Day this year.

Guys, again, I am really sorry. I bailed. When we all logged to get the star back to the leader I had just finished off a giant glass of Mt. Dew and pretty much fell alseep at the keys waiting to get back in. It wasn't Star Trek distracting me some of the time, it was eyelid dropping and I really thought I was going to be ok, but when my body started sleeping without my permission I realized I was exhausted. My primary problem was prior to the TF I chose not to take a nap in favor of playing Modern Warfare 2...... and for that I appologise, I will be ready next time.
As for the Lady Grey TF I will have to be placed on Alternates list for it because I will be working and can't guarantee that I will be at a station with a Internet Connection, much less the optimal time to log in and get on with you guys. I will do my best to be there, but I do not wish to occupy a slot if someone else will be able to use it.
I know you said it's ok Luna,......but I'm still sorry. -
By the way Luna, I'm planning on trying to be on the TF, but since I'm working tomorrow I wanted to warn you that if I'm not online by 10, just form up the teams best as you can without me. I can't be sure I will be able to attend, but that doesn't mean I'm not going to try. I'm just glad I'm off for the next 2 TF's =D

I'll be in sometime tonight Luna. Prolly on Evilex, since he's my Halloween villain. lol. Also, I believe Roxy and I will be on and off throughout the weekend, for halloweeen events of all types. ToTing, Zombie hunting, GM hunting, and Deadly Appocolypse, etc. If anyone's attempting to get badges or participating in the Deadly Appocolypse, it's much easier with a full team, so please say something on Freedom TF Chat, so we know you're after the event. If we're on, and on that particiular side of the game, (red/blue) we'll be able to invite you easier.

OK, lessons learned
1. First few arcs are too LONG! gonna shorten those up a bit.
2. NEVER, EVER hold 4 arcs in one day. tooo much time on the computer.
3. arcs take about 1 1/2 to 2 hours each, dont' plan on 1 1/2.
4. Never say you're going to do something when you may not........i.e....
I'm not going to publish the 8th story arc today. I'm pretty well burnt out of AE, so we're running the 7th arc, Resurrection of Captain Power now, and that's it for this weekend. Sorry if anyone missed out because of it. Sorry if No one wanted to come because it felt like too much. Feel free to play them at any time. I'll be posting the arc ID's on here later today -
OK, so an slight change in the scheduling of these arcs. There will be about a 30 min break between the pair of arcs. For the purposes of FOOD, because I apparantly scheduled them in perfect timing to have a lunch and dinner break between!

Captain Power is back? Well, of course! The Death of Captain Power can never be the end of the hero that we all love.....well, I do anyway. So to celebrate the upcoming resurrection, I would like to have a weekend of running Captain Power's Story Arcs. I'll be playing as Maximar, the Android designed originally for destruction who has a conciousness that decided he wanted to be a hero instead. I will be a member of the group, with a preferred Freedom Horde volunteer to lead the group in the story arcs about Captain Power.

How do I sign up?: Post here to sign up for any of the Story Arcs you wish to be a part of.
Why are you doing this?: I promise you it's not because I'm so egotistical that I think my story arcs are the best ever. Mostly I'm doing this for feedback and information as to what real people think of my story and arcs. I have submitted no story arcs for the new arc contest, because all of my story arcs are still currently "Under construction" and I am still looking to improve them. I would like to submit a story arc for the next contest, but I need people to actually play it and tell me what they think. Also it is to promote the release of two new story arcs finishing the story of Captain Power, issues 7 and 8, which will be published directly before we play them on Sunday afternoon!
Does that mean if I've already played the story arc you don't want me to sign up?: NO! Please if you would like to play the arc by all means, join us on Saturday morning.
Where are the Soldiers of the Future?: I have no idea what you're talking about. I didn't know there was a TV show called Captain Power until I started playing the character just over 5 years ago. The character in that TV show was not copywrited and I am not breaking the naming agreement by having a character named the same name. My character is based on a combination of other super heroes that I have loved through my childhood.
What level do I have to be to play?: You can sign up at any level and join to play, if you can get to AE in Skyway City you are welcome to play. However, if more than 8 people sign up you will all be placed in teams of levels that are as close to your level as we can.
Why are you starting the Arcs so early in the day?: I am trying to keep from interfering with any Freedom Horde events later in the evening on this weekend, because it's such short notice.

Captain Negative was inspired by (for those of you who don't keep up much with comics.) the Marvel Zombies and lately by the Black Lantern Corps from Green Lantern. It's a nice easy way for me to use Captain Power, but not.... And so if you see Cap running around, it's in name only....lol. He's Captain Negative right now! lol. Also it's a forshadow of the upcoming resurrection of Captain Power....due out sometime around Halloween. (hmm, resurrection around halloween, and a zombie version of Captain Power running around.......) yea it's so cliche' it's pathetic, but I'm a traditionalist, I can't help it! -
And as for the Soldiers of the Future, in case you didn't notice, this isn't that TV show character that I never saw nor even knew existed until someone told me about it 3 years after creating this character. Sorry, look somewhere else for your 80's non-syndicated TV show characters that only appearantly aired in the far western U.S.
I've been Captain Power on Freedom for 5 years now, and your 80's TV show character has not. Sorry if this makes you sad. -

I spent so much time fooling with making it I only tested it once, and not all the way through, so let me know if you see any typos, problem areas or anything that may inhibit this mission arc being fun for all. -
