Also I would like it if everyone whose hero is in the story could send me a picture of said hero. I have a little poject I would like to undertake.

As always I look forward to more.
I will try to get you some pics later tonite. It looks like I am unable to reach the Crey Industries Website for some pics now.
My avatar is Captain Neem's face though if that helps.

Actually if you all could send me pics too that would be nice. Have a credits thing at the end with pictures.
What did you guys think of that warning in front of Old Baltimore? When I posted it I was curious if anyone would like it.
The pace of the story is about to pick up dramatically. The next one will be a big one for sure.

The quote was absolutely brilliant. I liked it a lot.
By the way, I wouldn't mind having either Neem or The Core Being showing up on the test server for a group photo, or even alternating them, but having them together would require photoshop I'm afraid. -
Here is a few pics of Neem and Core.
Neem's old outfit
Neem's new outfit, much improved I think
The Core Being's favorite outfit
The Core Being will change noticably when body sliders go live. Neem will remain pretty much the same. -
Captain Neem was a young mutant who at an early age learned to fly and fire kinetic blasts. He also really REALLY liked superheros and side scrolling space shooter video games. Neem is the sound that boss lasers usually make in those games and many heroes were Captain somethingorother so he put the two together.
The Core Being was a mysterious entity who was born in the reactor core of an experimental power plant. See the link in my sig for more details.
Electric Shell is a hero who was born with a chitanous shell over his body, For some reason it builds up amazing amounts of static electricity which he can discharge at things.
Digital was born deaf, mute, numb, and incapable of moving under her own power. Lucky for her she was born to a rich family who invested a lot of money in wetware interfaces. They had her hooked into a virual world that tied directly to her brain and allowed her to interact with her parents who then home schooled her and broght in specialists whenever she wanted to learn more about a subject than they knew.
After her 17th birthday she had become quite the inventor and had developed plans for a suit that would allow her to move under her own direction, she also developed a set of goggles that would feed information about her surroundings to the virtual world connection in her brain. Further inventions have allowed her to do many amazing things in her surroundings. She is now 20 years old and fighting crime. Digital was the name she chose for this due to her reliance on digital technologies.
Super Funball is a man who was fused with a highly reactive form of rubber, Anything that collides with him is repelled the opposite direction at three times the force. (kin with lots of slots in repel) Mostly a joke character. -
Captain Neem is a mutant who has never really felt oppressed. Occasionally discriminated against but nothing on par with most stories, more like quiet stares and whispers behind his back occasionally.
He quite enjoys the fact that he was born with the ability to fly and throw out concussive blasts.
The Core Being isn't exactly angsty either. She is a more go with the flow kind of hero who just wants to make the largest positive impact she can on the minds and spirits of Paragon City's residents.
Mister Insidious is my most dark darkity dark character of darkness I've made and he doesn't sit in dark rooms and pout about the hardships having been born with a portal to the nether realms caused.... He revels in it. Of course he isn't entirely mentally stable either, having spent his childhood in a mental hospital, but thats another story.
Most RPers don't have overly humorous stories because in order to RP a character well, usually it requires they be somewhat human. They need to have a believable backstory and personality to be able to flesh out the character so to speak. If they are off the wall slapstick, well it makes it hard to be engaging.
I hope this helps. -

Doing a great job with the myriad personalities you have to keep track of. Terrific storytelling. I definitely look forward to more.

Great fight! As always I look forward to more. Seems like we have many trials and tribulations ahead.

I really wonder exactly how sk rewards are calculated. I can't ever figure them out.
A level 45 sked to a level 48 ends up with a level 47 enhancer, but a level 46 sked to 50 gets a level 46 enhancer?
Also the XP rewards get all kinds of weird. I've done tests where someone sked to even level with the enemies gets the same XP as being 2 levels below them, but if they are 5 levels below them they pull in crazy amounts of XP. -

Oh.. my.. god.. What is next? CoH ring tones? A breackfast ceral? Statesman underwear?

Man, I'd kill...er, I mean arrest...for the Williams Square (FF) music as a ring tone.

And I don't think that it'd be difficult to get Cafe Press to do up some underwear.

Pfffft! Whatever, looks more like a Crey Pistol from here. -
Sorry, gotta keep this thread alive until I can figure out where to set up a more permanent web space to host it.
If anyone who sees this has a good suggestion for a free web host with a minimum of banners and no popups I'd appreciate it ;-) -
You have not metioned any "Testing" or personal experience, you referenced a patch note that noone else seems to have ever heard of.
If you can and will test it for us we would be very glad to see the information first hand, however without any testing at all and no redname posts to reference and aparently (via the previous post) no patch notes archived that agree with what you say it is still hearsay.
I'm not saying it isn't true, but I seriously doubt it to be the case.
If I am not mistaken a level 45 sked to a level 48 will yield the lowest possible HO drop at 47. Testing this any further as far as I am aware is impossible. It would be nice to know but as said multiple times, it is pretty much a moot point. -
Ahh yes, I have seen them as low as 47. Happens when someone is sked when the HO drops on them.
I would like to see that someone has actually done some testing though. I have yet to see any support at all for this. No tests, no dev posts, no nothing. -
[ QUOTE ]
You can't SLOT them at 45/46 but it does have a 5 level 'spread'. ie: When level cap is raids to 60, from 50-55, Hami's are still useful but after 55, they turn red.
[/ QUOTE ]
Umm, not to be contradictary, but how the blazes would you know this? If you can't slot them before 47 you can't test 5 levels below and it is a moot point, if you can't get above level 50 it would be pretty hard to test the upper limit.
I've never seen a dev post to this effect and with the Crystal titan and sewer trial enhancements, they went red at -4.
If you have any information to support this let me know, but I've seen nothing to lead me to believe this is true. -
That is completely false, I have no idea where it came from except for possibly wild speculation repeated as fact. Pay it no heed.
-
Excellent writing. You are doing great. I definitely look forward to more.
And don't worry about minor spelling mistakes that you might miss. Most of us will probably overlook them anyway. ;-) -
How the bleepity bleep is this thread still alive, what is this 5 MONTHS after the last post?
-
Looking great so far. Yay apocalypic near future! ;-)

Captain Neem was out hunting Skuls, he fired off a snipe which knocked one Skul unconsious, he fell down next to a sewer drainage, which scared a black cat, which crossed a random supersitious hero's path, The hero then walked backwards under a ladder snagging his foot on one of the legs, knocking it over. The ladder then clattered down into the street pulling down an awning that caused the curtain to cover the vision of a superspeeding hero, who ran down the street trying to extricate himself. When he finally freed himself from the curtain, he ran smack into a door that had just opened, causing the person who opened it to drop his ciggarette into a grease puddle left behind by a car, which started a fire that made its way quickly to Night Shrike's ammunition case causing an explosion killing him quickly.
Oops... -
Meh, we all love Statesman and all but he has been wrong before. Anyone remember this one.
"Scrappers cannot get anywhere near max resistances."
How about this one.
"Small tweak, don't worry regen!"
not saying he is stupid or anything but we all make mistakes from time to time, and there is always the occasional bug that the devs aren't aware of. This could be one of those. -
((umm.. uhh.. whatthehell? Space? You do know that the shadow shard is another dimension right? The rularuu as far as I've been able to tell don't even have technology, how are they going to be in space? And we just happen to have a shuttle prepped that the city government in AP has jurisdiction over? say what? Could we get a do over on that please))

The Core Being dropped down into the bar and provided area healing for anyone who needed it.
"I saw those things coming after you and thought you could use the assist. I have things I need to attend to. Good luck with things here. Looks like this bar has seen better days."
With that she vanished into the night. -
The Core Being threw a surge of heavy radiation over the remaining hoverbots. They slowed down considerably. She then ported behind one of them and nailed it with a powerful blast of radiation, then ported back to the bulding.
The hoverbot slowly moved around in circles not attacking for a while unable to quickly recover from the blast.
The Core Being then emenated some radiation from around her, this strenthened any other heroes that had managed to get on the roof at this time, accelerating their response times and strength while giving them an extra bit of endurance.
((anyone who would have gotten on the roof by this point would benefit, I leave that up to you)) -
Captain Neem tried to pull as many of the CoT chasing Heat Storm off and knock them out before they could catch him. He had just gotten to the entrance of the cave, having defeated all the CoT chasing him that had not gone in, when the collapse started.
"Thats not good, I hope theres another entrance to that cave or the hero in there is going to have some major problems."
He turned back and flew as fast as he could to the battle that still raged behind them.
((Neem has decided to leave the amulets in the care of the two heroes that have them, he is just here to make the streets safe again if he can now. The explanation works good, roll with it)) -
Captain Neem continued throwing out damage trying to knock out as many Circle mages as he could while making his way to where Heat was on the battlefield. He had been lucky that very few had paid attention to him so far and hadn't been able to land a blow, but he didn't know how long his luck would hold out.
