I know I'm generally known as being annoying, immature, obnoxious..well you get the point...but I'm going to make a pathetic attempt to be serious.
I don't care who you are...anyone reading this knows that anyone can find any reason to be mad at any second of any given day. Many people take these reasons seriously, and that is when an issue begins. I know that I personally am almost always in a bad mood because I always overreact to little things...its not just you two.
Steele and Tax...you're both adults. You know what's right, what's wrong, and what to do when a problem begins. Unfortunately, with this specific problem, you are both seeing different solutions to the same problem. But you know what the funny thing is? I can't tell you how long it will be, but it won't take long for both of you to realize that arguing with anyone on the internet is a pointless waste of time. You can quote each other back and forth all week long if you'd like and get absolutely nowhere.
Now don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to be mean...you know I love both of you. But when 2 people have different solutions to the same problem, someone needs to step in and point out how silly it is to waste your time arguing about something that in the long run couldn't matter less.
Yes, Steele was wrong for not acknowledging the profanity filter. Yes, Tax was wrong for attacking Steele the way she did. Yes, both of you will find reasons to be upset with me for this post. But just think about it. Will arguing get you anywhere?
Let's all just get along. Deep down, we all want to be friends. I know I do.
P.S.: Yes, Camo can be serious if needed -
GIRL FIGHT!
Sorry, I had to. Don't hate me. I love you both! -
After reading so many posts around the forums about horror stories with new players going right to the Architect system, I decided to make a short arc to direct players on how to get to the rest of the game. I figure it would be a fun little way to learn how to leave Atlas Park and get started on your heroic life.
Arc Name: There's More to the Game!
Arc ID: 281658
Currently only contains 2 missions, very easy and soloable.
Note: Explains the game to heroes, not villains!
Right now, although the arc is published, I would really, really like feedback on it to make it better. It is a very new arc, and I would like to fit as much information into as short an arc as possible, so please give me advice on how to improve it. -
I hope I'm not breaking any rules with this post, so I'll be super careful.
A certain other MMORPG is going above and beyond with their advertising...and...still nothing for CoX. This other game is now advertising on their very own mountain dew flavors (which, by the way, is advertised on television). And now...they may even get their own movie.
I know CoX is popular and all, but am I the only one thinking a little advertising is in order? It just seems strange that other games are going through all this trouble and we...well...just get people XD -
So...I read most of this thread, then clicked to go the main page...and the 63 and 66 months rewards were JUST announced. SO ironic...

Just log a support ticket to fix the fact that you can't kick offline accounts.

I did just that. This was the response.
Hello,
At this time, this is not a current function of the game. However, I will forward the information you provided on to our Development Team.
The Development Team is in charge of planning and implementing the design of the game. If you would like to share your ideas about this, we encourage you to express them on the forums, where they can view your feedback first hand. The Development Team reads the forums regularly and many changes to the game have come directly from the feedback of players like you.
You can reach the City of Heroes or City of Villains message board at http://boards.cityofheroes.com.

After that, a villain team was looking for more buffer/debuffers, so I played TokyoRose (18 sonic/sonic corruptor) as a lackey on a mid 40s villain team, doing the PvE arc involving Fortunata Amelee. We did well against most of the enemies, but got stopped cold by an AV level Swan; unfortunately, her psy damage utterly ignores sonic shields. We ended up inviting a 47 brute to help us take down the level 44 Swan.

That must be one super awesome Brute that helped you! I wonder who that was? *cough*Camo Fire*cough* -
Well, i was thinking of making a brute or stalker soon, but I think this thread changed my mind...definitely going plant/thorn
Now if only someone sent me a build to level it up mostly solo all pve... >.> -
Now that my level 45 brute is slowly closing in on hitting 50, I'm thinking about what character to make next. I have always wanted to try stalkers, and I'm not too experienced with defensive sets, so I figured i'd try something new and make a /nin for PvE. recently in-game though, i heard some high level /nin stalkers complaining that they aren't nearly as good as their SR characters, and nin only gets good in late levels when you heavily IO it out.
Is this the case? I don't play my characters a whole lot once they hit 50, so I'd like a character that plays well the whole way through, not just after I get him to 50 and all IO'd out. -
While trying to figure out what sets I wanted to slot in my War Mace Brute recently, I noticed that Shatter (a cone power) and Crowd Control (another cone power) both say that they accept "PBAoE Damage" sets. Is this a known issue? Shouldn't they accept "Targeted AoE" sets since you need a target to activate them?

My WM/WP hit 30 last night, and im loving it. I've been using the power selections from this post I found:
https://boards.cityofheroes.com/showflat...;gonew=1#UNREAD
I took the powers as they are listed in that first post, but did all the slotting as I wanted to. He was a little bad on end in the teen levels, but once he got to 22 or 23 I transfered a couple million inf from my other brute and got IO'd out...now he's fantastic. -
I just logged on with my Touch just to see if it was a possible issue with the new software, but I was able to load up the forums and log in fine. Did you notice the issue suddenly start when you installed the 3.0 software that came out yesterday, if you did install it? I also agree, try clearing out cookies from safari.
If that doesn't work, see if you have issues logging in to other sites, or if it's just city of heroes. If you have trouble logging in in general, you may want to contact Apple.
Or maybe the devs have been messing around with the forums in preparation for the new ones we might get at some point in our lives and it messed up the iPhone? There are many things it could be =P -
Any good non-MM suggestions? I've just never been a fan of the whole minions thing. I prefer straight out damage, like brutes, scrappers, and blasters. I would make a brute, but I already have 2 at 50...was hoping for something a little different.
-
I had been thinking about a mastermind, but judging by past experience, I tend to fail at managing minions. Epically. =P

I'm trying to figure out what character to make to work on my solo VG, and I'm stuck.
Right now my characters in the VG include a level 24 Fortunata, a level 12 Db/Wp Brute, a level 11 Elec/Regen Stalker, and a level 8 Ice/Energy Dominator. If I make a new character for it, I would prefer not to make a VEAT, and I'm a little iffy about a Brute or Mastermind, but I would be willing to give them a try if it's recommended.
I was thinking about making a Mind/Ice or Earth/ice Dom, and I also considered a Sonic/Dark or Sonic/Rad Corruptor...but at this point, I really don't know what I would do.
I would most likely be soloing almost all the time, and would prefer something that isn't too much of a late bloomer. -
Now that my widow is finally 23, I decided to start working on a Fort build for her...but I have no clue how to do it. I made one to 34 in mids' but im just not sure if its a good build (For mostly solo PvE) Here is what I came up with so far:

I felt like my widow was incredibly under powered, and hated playing it...but I painfully got to level 22 (solo...) and got Foresight and filled up on SOs...now I LOVE my widow. It's so much better. I can't wait to turn into a Fortunata -
Well, I tried using the CD to see what happens, and I got a message that says:
"A problem is preventing Windows from accurately checking the license for this computer. Error Code: 0x80004005"
A quick google of that error code gives me the impression that the computer doesn't recognize the disc since it's made for Medion...oh well, worth a try -
Well, the reason im asking is because when my mom got a new computer, my brother said he would get her windows for it...he didnt realize it was only a trial. So now it doesn't do anything past the login screen...so I suppose it beats nothing to give it a try.
-
When I got a Medion computer a few months ago, it came with a recovery disc with windows home premium on it. Even though it says that it's made for Medion computers, would it still work with any computer?

Even if you're not farming on a team your own level doing AE missions, you can get 1-50 in a week.

Unless you like to solo a lot because you don't find yourself able to play for extended periods of time (and because the internet doesn't always contain the brightest of people =P). Low endurance has been a huge issue for me at lower levels, and a simple tiny recovery bonus could make a big difference. So why not?
