Well, that was rough. Sorry about the massacre, guys.

Not your fault, I had a bad night. I am just glad the majority of deaths were me and not the team. -
I should be available. Kid is at a sleep over and wife is working the night.

Status Reports
Star Strider Force
Name: Calash
Global Contact: @calash
Reporting on Assignment: Rikti War Zone (aka. RWZ)
Level of Alien Threat: High
Report Details: Per my previous instruction I have maintained my current patrols in RWZ per instructions from Vanguard.
The following anomalies were detected between 2:00 and 21:00
- 2.34% increase in the energy output of Rikti Defense systems (Pylons)
- 24% alteration in focus of ground troops toward heavy defended Vanguard positions
- 94% increase in assaults to other areas of the city. Patrol requirements forced me away from most of the incursions.
- 2.1% alteration in Rikti troop distribution over 138 encounters.
Analysis: Based on metrics recorded from past invasion attempts, compared to current numbers with anomalies factored in (Including the recent Zombie attacks) it appears that the situation is escalating. Past actions show a likely counter strike, likely beginning in undefended areas as to disperse the current Vanguard personal.
Suggestion: Upgrade of War walls to prevent bypass by bomb ships. Analasys of ship tragectory to determin launch point.
Counter attack on Launch point.
The suggested strategy of preparation is sound, however it can be executed by civilians with the same precision as Meta humans. Trained personnel are required to repel the invaders, and then to cut off there launch point.

VNC is cross-platform, so as long as a client exists, and the network connection is good you should be able to do something with it.
Not sure if the DS has the horsepower to refresh the screen that fast..or the resolution to show the output. -
The WinMo VNC client is for both 5 and 6, so you should not have a problem.
On a side note, I believe there is an official update to WM6 for that device. Or you can probably hunt down an unofficial 6.1 update, but it may tax the memory of the phone.
Stumbled upon this http://gadgetopia.com/post/4129
If it works, you could do the same thing for PSP. -

It may just be that I deal with Remote Control programs all day at work, but I am not that impressed. You can do the same thing with any Windows Mobile based device, or even VNC from a Linux box. Probably a client for Palm too, VNC is very portable over platforms.

I'm not very impressed with you being unimpressed. It's not very impressive that you work with Remote programs all day either. But that could just be because I sit on the forums all day long at work and see many worthless post that never needed to be made.

I'd have to agree the tone of his post left a lot to be desired, but he's making a reasonable point that this isn't inherently some magic iPhone goodness. This can be done with any device that can run VNC (which is a ton) that has decent resolution and connectivity. That said, *I* still think it's pretty nifty.
[/ QUOTE ]
I know. But as you said the snobby tone left much to be desired.
It is a nifty idea..so nifty in fact it may overpower my lazy'ness and make me attempt it.

[edit] Deleting this statement as it was made after a couple more drinks than I should have had. The short, and nicer response is that you read my post wrong. No tone or insult was intended to the OP. -

Questions -
Will there be a cost involved ether for getting the pack or to upload our own content?
Will custom dialog be limited to mission text or when the mobs talk (Taunting and such)
Cut scenes??!?!? Please????
Will we be able to make our own custom AV/EB for story arcs? Even if it is limited to skinning current or generic powersets.
How will you handle and/or prevent farming so that the current economy does not suffer, but make running custom missions rewarding to the masses?
Would it be possable to generate PVP missions? Scripted story arcs that allow both sides to enter and fight? What about co-op missions?
I LOVE the idea here, being an avid RPer this has huge possibilities. -
Oh MY GOD! Do the devs even care about this game anymore? It is obvious that they have no intention of continuing to support or listen to there community and instead are driven to destroy the game by any means necessary.
They are nickle and diming us to death with micro-purchases and in-game ads that add nothing to the game at all.
WAKE UP PEOPLE!!! It is obvious that this is the first step in Server consolidation. Everybody will be moving over to Freedom, increasing there lag and leaving the rest of the game a ghost town.
And what will the Devs be doing with there ill-gotten gains? Watching Rome burn while playing the lute!!
Evil I tell ya....EVIL!
Sorry....this thread just needed some doom. I love LOVE LOVE this addition -

QR, if you ever look at naughty sites, you'll sometimes see "click here to find sexy singles in your area!". Lo and behold, it's my area! How'd they do that? (sarcasm, I know how they do that)
It doesn't work though, I've never found sexy singles in my area.

If you want some real fun, use a proxy from another state. Appparently the girls in thoes ads have twins in every area -

As I said, we already have separate servers from EU. Why the need for IP addresses?
[/ QUOTE ]
For people who live in the US but play on a EU server? Besides, they already have your IP logged as soon as you touch there servers. The only difference is that they will actually be making use of that info. -
The company portfolio seems a bit....lacking. It also has very few multi-player games and no MMO's.
As I said before, my only concern is the technical aspect of it. From there portfolio, what would be the best comparison to how they will work in CoH/CoV? -
I am bad!!
I am EVIL!!!
I am....
MOJO-JOJO!!!!
Hahahahahahahaha
