I am listening to your ideas, but a Flashback system is simply not something we can implement in a timeframe you would all be happy with.

Instead we are looking into other options to get you the Pool B choice so level 50s don't feel gimped.

What about rewarding based on souvineirs and tf/trial badges initially?

    Drops II

Why can't we be awarded the recipes/salvage based on Souvenirs that we've already earned? I would accept this even though some of my characters didn't get a lot of them (playing on invincible means picking and choosing the ones I like doing). Why can't we be awarded recipes/salvage based on the badges we've earned for TF's/Trials? Frankly, I wouldn't like to repeat some of the TF's/Trials unless they were reworked.

The question I don't see answered is this: do the drops occur regardless of mode of play? i.e. SGMode or not in an SG.

Damn Tolen, we are neighbors, I live a block south of the Oakland Mills/Snowden River Parkway intersection.
  5. It's not the drawing them in, its losing them when they start getting low on health. I just tried the rikti crash site, once life starts getting low on mobs, Headman gunners starting porting away, bosses start running, its like I just layed down a burn patch. Are you using taunt at all? I don't have taunt, and I'm hitting them with everything I have, I should have very high gauntlet on them, but it doesn't matter, run, run, run.
  6. Playing around on my Fire/Fire tank and it seems like I lose aggro and everything wants to run when they get down to less than half health. If anyone tested the winter event and witnessed Snaptooth just taking off and having to fight him on the run after he got low on health, its the same exact thing, except on every mob. I don't see it on minions too much since they drop pretty fast, but LT's and Bosses are like instilled with fear and take off. If I wanted to make them leave, I'd put down a burn patch. Anyone else notice this yet? I've not tried my stoner yet, but will. I think something got broke with the Gauntlet fixes.

  8. I just farmed an overseer mission from Scirocco and the overseers were 43's, all of them counted and the entire team earned their badges.
  9. So with the possible return of the halloween event, will the doors that you trick or treat at only be in PvP zones? It should be as annoyingly hard to get as the new requirements for isolator for pre-I2 characters.
  10. Define mostly in SGMode? Is that 75% of the time, 80%, 90%? I know my wife has never ran in SGMode with her MA/Regen scrapper and she just hit 40 and still doesn't have the 2nd badge. My 43 Stone Tank has run only in SG mode (600K prestige earned when I hit 43 last night). I still only have the 1st badge and know I will not see the 2nd and 3rd badge til 50 when I finish my prestige project (1-50 in SGmode). Most hit the 3rd badge around 48-49 and that was before prestige. Now you could run TF's/SF's exemp'd down not in SGMode to get the needed inluence/infamy. Basically if you are in an SG that likes you to stay in SGMode, just hope that the contact is available at 50 and drop out of SGMode then. The infamy will come in alot quicker. I just don't see anyone getting this without doing alot of exemping prior to 50 if you ran in SGMode the majority of time.
  11. So are you saying its best just to sit on the top of the pillbox and take credit for some other person's work? I think this is what will happen alot. If I see someone just sitting waiting for the turrets to be destoyed, I will just stop attacking them and move on to another. Why do they put things in that cause problems between players?
  12. I never did see this question answered and I haven't spent alot of time in RV:

Are teams credited with pillbox takeovers or is it just the one who is lucky enough to click first?

I hope it's not the latter or you will have campers just sitting on the top waiting for the turrets to be taken out.

    WRT the TV contact:

... Do you think after playing to 50 and doing lots of 'end game' content, you could hit 20 mill inf. and then play that contact?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Assuming for a moment the TV will give missions at 50, and not cut off after a 45-49 range...

Someone above said 300-500k per hour at 50. I'm not sure if that accounts for selling loot, but I'll use 400k badge credit per hour as a good number and calculate that it will take 50 hours of work at level 50 to earn 20 million. Maybe a little less time if you picked up some credit along the way, but that's going to be less per hour at lower levels anyways.

Bottom line: 50 hours for unlocking 6 missions. I don't think so.

(I've been assuming it's 6 missions, every other unlocked contact is similar.)

    [/ QUOTE ]

400K per hour would be bottom of the barrel, I do about 2.3-2.5 million per hour in the RCS with my 50 solo. On a 2 man team, even though the mobs fall faster, I can still muster about 1.7-1.8 million per hour. If you can't take out large outdoor spawns fast solo, team with a Brute or MM, 20 million should be a 8-10 hours at the highest level. If the contact is 45+ and operates same as 45+ contacts in CoH, then you should be able to do missions from the contact at 50. I wouldn't think they would make this unlockable contact a 40-44 contact, it would take many hours of exemplaring to accomplish this task if it were the case. Lets just hope it's not the case.
  14. Since this is now the standard for getting missed badges, whether you missed them because you were unavailable, not in game or it was offered somewhere not accessable to your character, then I hope the standard is upheld. We've already seen the return of the winter minions, were they stuck only in a PvP zone? No. So for now on, sure there can be returns of other rare spawns, but based on the same rules of the RV Isolater. There will be 1 winter lord spawn per year on christmas day, time unknown, but in a PvP zone. If you miss it, wait til next year. On halloween and halloween only, there will be single spawns of each type in Siren's call on a 2 hour timer, if you don't get enough for the badge, there is always next year. It is the perfect reward to your long time playerbase.
  15. I lost doorways on rooms that had a vent on the wall to remove upper trim on both occasions. I lost the doorways after deleting my tech workshop. I couldn't put the doorways back in until I deleted the vents. Once gone, I put the doorways back and everything was fine.
  16. Its too bad you don't get that amount. The only damage that counts is the actual taken. If you have 1000 HP, and you take 10000 Damage in one shot, you only get credit for 1000 damage.
  17. [ QUOTE ]
Here's the current numbers in testing (subject to change):

    Base Entry Room: Free
    Workshop Room (2x2): 100,000p
    Lowest Power Empowerment Station: 15,000p
    Salvage Rack: 15,000p

Total Cost for working Salvage storage and a working Empowerment Station: 130,000 Prestige

    [/ QUOTE ]

Is this a different workshop than where you place your workbenches? If not, 30K to put this stuff in isn't bad.

So where does 3 casual players [probably less than 10hrs/wk each] fit in. I guess you need a fifth level there, puny/miniscule.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Please don't take this as an insult but less than 4 members is a "club" not a "supergroup". Two players is a Dynamic Duo; three players is a "Superhero X and his amazing friends." To me a Supergroup is four or more players.

(As an aside, how many years would the Fantastic Four have to play COX to afford the functionality in "Freedom Four Plaza"?)

    [/ QUOTE ]

That's pretty entertaining. Regardless of your standards of group size, a 1 man or 75 man group have the same form when they bring up their settings, both are considered SG's in the game. A 1 man SG can buy the same exact things a 75 man group can buy, granted it would take and exponentially longer time. Both earn prestige and salvage. Right now the base system is geared around super-huge groups. I like to compare the game with comics, since that is what it is derived from. There may be one or two groups in comics that can boast a 75 man roster and that is probably counting inactive members. Most hero and villain groups in comics are 1 to 20 members. I think the game has steered away from comics since its inception .

I think the DEV's know that they can't price things based on the average size of an SG or otherwise the large 60-75 man groups would have nearly everything already, hence all pricing is based on the max group size assuming all are active players. If you had a group of 75 active players churning out 50-100K prestige per week, you would see groups on the low end with 70-73 Million and a high end of 146 Million. Yet right now, even with full rosters, high end groups are only around 15 - 20 million. I think a lot of the high end players want their own group, I do, I don't want to be someone's lackey. I want to play around with the base, so I have my own. So the point I'm trying to make is, the base pricing system is flawed unless you have a full group of the most active players making 50-100K a week.
  19. Event badges have also been brought back. Lets see, can anyone say "Cold Warrior?" Is that badge now cheapened since it was not earned during the first winter event?

Oh and to clarify. I do not mean on another character created after badges went live. I do not mean deleting and re-creating as this is another form of being a new character. One created after Issue 2. This has been my point over and over again. And this is where we disagree.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I beg to differ, we do agree. I dont think any toon created after the 1yr anv deserves that badge, nor any toon after the halloween event, nor any toon created post any event. Isolator is only different in that its placement was in the tutorial. So how do you overcome that, simple... create a new toon. No toon post the 1yr anv will ever have that badge, just like no toon created pre-I2 will have isolator.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I agree that anything missed is missed. We are talking about a badge put in after the game started and was not obtainable by current characters at the time without rerolling. Notice that they've never done that again. Every badge put in the game since then has been obtainable by everyone. Some were more difficult than others, but were obtainable by the character you were playing.
  22. [ QUOTE ]

THat's because your not supposed to know where the badges are. They are ment as a reward for those willing to explore and search. The problem is, some people want the rewards without doing the actual work, and thus refer to cheat sheets like Badge Lists.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Well, that goes against everything that I would expect a tutorial to be. I would expect a tutorial to provide you with information about the game and what to expect in it. I'm all for exploring and searching for badges, but putting them in a tutorial, where you should be learning about the game goes against the whole concept of a "Tutorial." If they put badges in the tutorial, then they should be teaching you how to get them.

Asking someone to sacrifice the time the put into a character and start over is unreasonable and unacceptable.

    [/ QUOTE ]

So all you have is one lvl 50 and thats it? Not a single other toon (CoH side that is)? Because starting another toon and working towards 50 is no different... now or then By your own philosophy once you have one 50 then any new toon you create should instantly become 50 as well otherwise it'd be unreasonable & unacceptable

    [/ QUOTE ]

Not sure what hole you pulled that logic out of. So you are assuming that I have one level 50. I like the way twist someone's statement to fit your needs.
  24. Agree or disagree all you want.

The developers should have never put in a reward that could not be earned by all with their current characters. Asking someone to sacrifice the time the put into a character and start over is unreasonable and unacceptable. I bet if a poll was taken on whether or not a pre-I2 character should have the opportunity to get the badge, the majority would agree to allow those characters that opportunity.

I don't like how they put Jailbird in the CoV tutorial. There is nothing in the tutorial that teaches players about exploration badges, nor do the contacts give out hints. The same goes for CoH, there is nothing in the tutorial that teaches players about arrest badges, nor do any of the contacts give out hints of a badge.

Will not introducing a way to obtain Isolator ruin this game? Absolutely Not.

It can also be said that, will introducing a way to obtain Isolator ruin the game? Absolutely Not.
