On Your M-Arc

I think I settled on a title - Flights, Tights, and Movie Nights, and I've got the site more or less ready to go, you can find it at http://Bubbawheat.wordpress.com go check it out and vote in the poll I have to help me decide what movies I should start with in January. When I actually start posting reviews, I'll mention them here in a new thread so anyone can follow along. Hope to see some of you there as readers and I hope you enjoy it. You heard it here first, Lord Recluse will be the new replacement after the next Who Will Die arc!

As far as the other half of the equation. Who will replace Statesman? I have two theories. One is Desdemona. She's the heroic face of Going Rogue, she has recently been given major power in one of the incarnate trials, thus giving her great power and leadership.

My second guess is, funnily enough, Back Alley Brawler. They recently made a specific push to distance him from the Freedom Phalanx. Many people thought he was a member, or a reserve member, or something like that. They've even done patches that specifically remove references of him being a part of the Freedom Phalanx. And yet, he has been specifically included as part of the Who Will Die storyline as one of the Surviving Eight, and in one of the teasers with his broken glove.

For those saying "you should put 'spoiler' in the title" I agree with at least one other person who said "A Death Revealed" pretty much says 'spoiler' all on its own.

Also since I've been running the contest for this, I've been told of non pigg-diving ways of finding out info from the arcs if they're in the game but not unlocked. This patch quite possibly put that arc in the game which is why they revealed it before someone else did.

Congrats to those who guessed Statesman! You're in the final stretch. It still hasn't been revealed who actually makes the killing blow, there could be multiple correct answers and we'll find out the first or second Tuesday of January. Good luck, here's the list of those who guessed Statesman, if it ends up being Darren Wade, then you'll all get 123 million inf, with multiple guesses getting mutliple shares. And if someone gets it right, then you'll get the entire prize amount sent to you via global e-mail.

Just watched the latest episode, that ending was surprising and disappointing. I won't spoil it here yet, but I hope it's used to move the plot forward instead of helping to stall it. Also, great little fistfight between Emma and the Mayor. Worth watching just for that.

One of the things I've noticed is that apart from the Hexenbeasts, pretty much all of the "demons" are just human/animal hybrids. There's been bees, wolves, bears, rats, pigs, and whatever the repairman was. It also seems like much more of the animals in the show are trying to live normal lives. I'd like to see more dangerous animals that need to be taken out, I'd like to see another Grimm brought into the picture even if it's just briefly, and I'd really like them to speed up the wife's arc. My guess is that she ends up leaving him or dying after she learns the truth about him.

If you ever decide to do a project with the Shining Stars I would have a blast coming up with air sounds to be making at you. *hoorb*!

Given that this thread has 1,100 views, I'm guessing at least 1/3 or more of those views are repeated views, bringing the number to around 700 users. About 1/3 of those users probably didn't care enough to go vote, and another 1/3 probably would have voted without seeing this thread. That means this thread could have brought an extra 300 votes or so. Discounting those votes and CoH is still in the lead.

So who's actually going to compile this into a workable list of movies that Frietag hasn't seen that fit into the right timeframe?

Also, when are we going to hear thoughts about said movies from Frietag after seeing them?

Been doing more categorizing and wiki research into the movies I hadn't heard of to eliminate some more and it's caused me to figure out how I want to narrow down my focus.

Obviously I'm including every "heroic" movie based on an established comic book.

I'm also including comedy movies using the typical superhero theme in it even if it's an original hero created for that movie.

I'm including movies with a traditional comic book style superhero even if it's from an original screenplay.

I'm including film noir style heroes that feature a comic book style to them even if they were originally based on radio serials or something similar.

I'm excluding movies based on novels unless they fit the traditional costumed superhero style.

I'm excluding direct-to-video movies and made-for-TV movies.

I'm excluding movies with original heroes that have a more sci-fi, fantasy, or martial arts lean to them.

I'm excluding non-heroic movies based on a comic book. I would include them, but the other categories give me plenty of movies to watch. If I continue the project after 2012, I may include them.

If you're offering me up more suggestions for movies, I'd appreciate it if you let me know what category they would fall into. Thanks for the help so far.

Now, any ideas for a name for this project?

Also, it would be great to know where to find some of the harder to find movies on this list. If they're available on free streaming sites or pay streaming sites that would be great info. I'm not subscribed to any at the moment, but I can make use of the free 2 weeks or free month and grab a bunch during that time. I also own a couple dozen on the list, and my local Family Video has a bunch on the list in the 2 for a dollar section.
