  1. I really, really want the Rulu-Shin's "feathery bits". We have pretty much no feathery costume bits beyond one aura and the wings themselves in this game, and that makes my bird-things sad.

I'd also love to have some of the Praetorian Carnival bits we don't have yet (I have a Carnival of War guy who could really use them-), the rest of the CoT bits we were denied (Nem needs his Death Mage bits, people... ) and, of course, the long-requested Kheldian sashes.
  2. If it were any other trial, I'd volunteer one of mine... but I learned the hard way with Palrah that a Willpower tank just gets eaten alive by the Avatar. Even though Ty's melee defense numbers are better, I honestly don't think she'd handle it any more easily than her big brother did.

I don't know about your Incarnates, but most of mine still can't solo AVs. That's not what they were built to do.
  4. You guys are making me paranoid...
A couple of my favorite costumes on certain members of my crew involve the wedding tails coat. Ash, Rose and Kav... the ones who use it... all have wings. (It would make me sad-panda to lose Ash's "Formal Raiding" costume in particular, since it's become very much his signature look. )

I also have one of the few witch-bolero-with-wings combination costumes I've seen on another one of the bird-things. Ty's had that outfit from the day the Magic pack was released, and while I accept that I can't ever edit it, the idea of it being taken away anyway is annoying.

That said, I just went in-game and checked all four of the toons in question to see what was going on with them, and so far their costumes don't seem to have been force-reset, (For example, here's a cap of Rose taken about ten minutes ago-) I may be barred from making any new winged costumes with the tails coat (I haven't checked that yet-), but as-of right now they all still have their existing ones.

Given that, it may be worth it to contact support about your gal's costume, Nyx. The change doesn't seem to have been universal.

ETA: Okay, I just took Surruna (another of my winged bird-things) to the tailor to check it out, and the Wedding tux is indeed removed as a selection if you have a Back Detail (and the "back details" heading vanishes if you equip the tux first-), so it looks like they have, indeed, killed the option for new costumes. That's a pity. The combination looked good.

And I'd like to be able to use any of the pets *AT ALL* when my Peacebringers and Warshade are in non-human forms.

As it stands right now with the toggles going down (unspawning the pet-) during the shift and then being completely greyed-out afterwards, they can't. No buff pet, no vanity pets... and that sucks.

    This.

That's one of the big reasons I bought the dog, aside from being fond of the breed they picked. (My last pup out here in the off-line world was a black and tan Shepherd. This digital one's animations and sound effects would definitely have gotten the Shelby seal of approval. ^_^) I want to encourage the dev and art crews to experiment with new rigs and to play around with other things like this. I want to see what else they'll come up with using it.

Yes, for a vanity pet that doesn't do anything practical and comes with a bucket-load of limitations it's way over-priced... But I look at it as an investment. The price of a sandwich tossed towards maybe-someday getting an animal Mastermind set, or a mount-based travel power or even a shape-shifter AT.
  7. I'd be very if they picked Synapse... I'm fond of that goofball.
  8. I'll miss Zhen's clocks, but what I REALLY want is for them to either fix the toggles so that they aren't greyed-out when my Peacebringers are in their Nova or Dwarf forms, or to remove the "instant pet death" toggle-goes-off thing that happens when they switch out of human form in the first place.

As it stands right now, neither of my Khelds can use any of their pets... vanity *or* buff... AT ALL when they aren't in human mode. That's just unfair. No other AT is looking at that strict a limitation.

    Exactly...

That's why I thought it might be a good idea to poke somebody about it.

I know the toggle change itself is intentional. That's not really the point of my post.

The point is that by making that change *and* tagging the toggles to be unusable outside of human form, they've essentially barred both Kheldian ATs from making use of their buff pets (vanity pets, too, for that matter-) a fair bit of the time. There's no way for them to ever have one active AT ALL when in forms.

No other archetypes have that particular problem, and I'm curious rather it being an issue for Kheldians was something anyone on the dev side thought about or not.

I suspect it wasn't, honestly. The shape-change gig isn't exactly a trait common to the majority of the characters in the game.
  11. Hi guys...

I don't know if you intended for this to happen with the recent change to vanity and buff pets, or if it was an "unintentional consequence" sort-of thing.... but it seemed like something that ought to be brought to your attention.

By making the pets toggles, you've made them impossible for Peacebringer and Warshade characters to use while in Dwarf and Nova forms.

The pet toggle turns off when those characters switch from human to Dwarf or Nova, killing any already-summoned pets they may have running. The problem is that the toggle, like many other toggles available to the human form, is greyed-out and unusable once the transformation is complete. That makes re-summoning the pet impossible, barring Kheldians from ever being able to use them while in non-human mode.

If that's just an accidental over-sight, fix it please? Sola misses her wisp.

If it's an intentional change... Boo! It's not exactly fair that other ATs can use their buff pets while the squiddies and crabsters can't.

    That would be Protean.
  13. +1 from me, too...
Celestial Bow, Claws, Katana and Shield, please.

A Mace that wasn't just a turned-around Ax might be nice, too. My poor minotaur looks like he's going to lop off his own horns when I try to equip that thing.
  14. Praetoria's Interrogator Washington is apparently such as scary guy that all the Syndicate goons in his "Speak to Mrs. Swift" mission ran off the second they heard he was on his way. o_0

    Everyone but Swift herself, anyway...
She apparently stuck around to see what the big deal was.

But the rest of her gangster pals? Nowhere to be found...
All Washington and Anteros found was a building full of cowering civilians with nothing to say for themselves but "Aiiieeeee!"

    It was freaky.

I suppose the question becomes why punish people for something that was earned as a reward? Seems a little counter intuitive to me.

Honestly, I doubt the form-switching problem ever crossed anyone on the dev side's mind. What our Kheldian toons do is far enough outside "the norm" that it's easily forgotten when it comes to things like this.

In that case we may as well add my little Rularuu bird-thing to the list.

    Whisper is Claws/Willpower.
  17. I may have that T4 Clarion built by then.

Yep... This is annoying. My "blaster build" Human/Nova Peacebringer usually runs with Spot (her blue wisp pet-) active. I switch back and forth between her two forms *a lot* in the normal course of play, and having to resummon the little guy every time is a pain in the tentacles.

I'm also none too pleased that the buff and vanity pets are now exclusive. As I said in the feedback thread on the beta forum, I have a defender who actually uses both for practial purposes... Her flying clockwork for its buffs (Every little bit helps when you're as squishy as Zhen is-) and the non-flying vanity clock as a location marker, so her partner knows where she is for heals and fire-shields when she's hovering out-of-easy-sight over a fight. As things stand now, I've lost one or the other of those functions.
  19. I usually ask going in if anyone needs the badges... If they don't, that's fine. If someone pipes up and says they do, that's fine too. There's no harm in trying for them, even if it's only for one team member's sake.
  20. +1
Giant, massive +1 with puppies, rainbows and kittens on top.

Pre-tinting is rapidly becoming the bane of my costume-making experience. I *want* to use the cool new pieces the art team is building... I really do. They're spiffy bits... But I often can't.

Because the tinting makes them look goofy with the rest of the outfit I'm trying to put together. That Celestial armor, for instance. I'm a little sad about how hard those pieces are to use.
  21. My blaster's big, KB-a-rific "Get the fark away from me, you jerk!" Energy punch has turned into Brawl. With better special effects.

'Sounds ike a plan. Hopefuly FCM and I can make it...
I'll probably bring Mist along again. We're likely to need all the Clarion we can get.
  23. My stalker over on Exalted is already in an SG (I have one of my own for all of the "bird things"-), but she's with you in spirit.

    Stalk on, my stealthy brothers.
