  1. Well, Brutes benefit Fire Armor more, while Scrappers benefit Kinetic Melee.

With that perticular combo, I'd see the difference in DPS between Brutes and Scrappers first, before I decided.

If it's Scrapper way ahead, like I think it is, I'd likely go Scrapper.

IF they're rather close, Like Brutes are only slightly behind, I'd go Brute for sure.
  2. Claws/Dark Armor Scrapper named Pale Blood. It was the start of the first Winter Event...EVER!

Much PLing was done! Unknown to me, as I was new to the game!

    I slotted brawl and hover!

I knew my build was weak, and so I came to the forums!

That character has been deleted ever since.

So once you've established that 'and their body makes FIRE!' is an in-universe rule that doesn't have to adhere to the laws of physics, then you don't need to worry about the logic of why said fire isn't then killing them, because that's usually considered to be automatically included.
Hey, I'm still trying to figure out why my, let's say /Ninja Stalker, can't pick up let's say...two Dual Pistols and learn to do fancy shooting with them.

I don't really want Champions' style "one face only ever," but we need better faces, and we need more details and more control over them.

P.S. I would LOVE the ability to alter the eyes. Not just eye colour, I mean making have a solid pupil, no pupil and so forth. This adds a lot more personality to a face than most people think, especially when you start going down unusual routes.
It would be nice. Current I use the glow eye aura on all the time if I want the single color, no pupil eye look.

Mickey Mouse Clubhouse? Wasn't that Disney's attempt to mimick Seasame Street? At any rate, it's not a showcase for the character of Mickey Mouse himself, although it certainly sounds designed to promote recognition.

If there was one common complaint about Superman Returns among geeks and ordinary moviegoers, it was that the film didn't capture anyone's imagination, certainly not in the way Action Comics #1 did or the 1978 movie ("You will believe a man can fly"). And an icon absolutely must capture the imagination.
Well for the look...I won't lie...I've given hope on the looks of a character in the written/drawn medium to match up to the visual medium.

Wolverine is not 6ft. Hugh Jackman still did a great job though. But to be fair, even in the comics, Wolverine isn't always drawn to look like he's 5ft 3in tall. Nor the cartoons for that matter.

And I'm curious as to who you think fits that description of Holmes in the books. As while I've only watched a few other Holmes movies, none of them seemed to match that description.

On Mickey Mouse, no idea. My daughter loved to watch it. So I just happened to know Mickey Mouse seemed active in it. I'd rather have watched Dora again, myself.

As for Superman...:O When ever they did the action seens I was all \o/ Yay! Lifting the boat, the island, saving the plane, destroying shards of glass, flying through buildings, TAKING A BULLET TO THE EYE! Eh, I loved it! I just wish some changes were made to the other parts of the script myself.

    Nope.

Made new alts, ran low level TFs just like usual. As for my tip missions (if I decide to run them) or the story arcs I like to run, I've always ran them solo or just picked up whoever.

I've always prefere running TFs even before IOs.

Mickey Mouse stopped appearing in cartoon shorts in the mid-50s. These days, apart from assorted cameos, he's relegated to direct-to-video fare, usually holiday-themed animated specials. His iconic status still means Disney can plaster his imagine on all manner of merchandise, even if it means rewriting copyright laws to extend his protection. Ever since Uncle Walt was put into the deep freeze, however, they have been unable to preserve the character in his original medium. It's telling that the biggest recent breakthrough with the character was in video games, e.g. the Kingdom Hearts series and, of course, Epic Mickey.

That's the dark side of icon status: to be so well-known that nothing interesting can be said about them. (Consider the ongoing problems with the Superman reboot since Christopher Reeves's last film or how the last Sherlock Holmes movie jettisoned virtually every recognizable physical aspect of the character.)
What recognizable aspect of Sherlock? The hat? Wasn't in the books last I recall.

Mickey Mouse did have a new show on the Disney Channel, featuring the other Disney Characters, Mickey Mouse's Playhouse, I think it was.

I don't know if it's that nothing interresting can be said about the icons, however. I think it's more that nerd rage happens.

I mean look at Superman Returns. It made lots of money! It was 6th highest grossing film in the US, 9th in the world, made a profit...and now...REBOOT!

Admittedly, I would have prefered a reboot to begin with, than a sequal that said 2 of the last 4 films never happened. But I think internet rage (which the movie was rated pretty positively) gets so much fare behind it.

Look at Snakes on a Plane. Internet people wanted the movie...it bombed. vs the World...big hoopla...bomb.

Bringing out the icons can net the money and still be done to rather favorable reviews, but crap keeps happening
  9. The really awesome part is we know Hugo Weaving isn't one of the many actors who say "They need to see my face!"

And still turn in awesome work!

I do! Others have said they do! Is it only Harrison Ford (and I think the Director) who didn't?

Imagine doing what you suggested, where it's 100% mandatory, as the power pools (if I read your post correctly) wouldn't work at all without the respecing.

Even if you think the grandfathered in ones would still work, the gripes...they would be forever and ever...more so with some people having three builds now.
  13. I understand this game is alt friendly, but do that many really alt out that constantly to dfferent characters to make hitting the ToS button over and over again a problem?

It's kinda like the quit to login.

I never saw the problem with it, because, okay, at most I was switching out every two hours. So what was the problem before?

For this to be a problem, I would think one would have to be logging out every 10 minutes.

How long has it taken a dedicated soloer to achieve the Tier 4, who would only have to join one TF a week (as of now) to get the notice but could solo everything else?

While you may not like farming, I know last night one person in my SG had acheived 20 Shards in a 60-120 minutes of farming a map. Admittedly, I feel she just got extremely lucky in the RNG, but the point stood more for are you talking about a soloer who just does whatever, afks, speeds through missions, and doesn't kill all?

Or are you talking about just playing solo, but doing everything you can to get the rewards as fast as you can?

And before the collective weight of the forums jump on my back for "derailing," this is relevant to the topic of recolourable Incarnate powers. One of the major limitations, as we have been told, is that the power customization US doesn't support Pool and Epic powers, and only supports powers we are GUARANTEED to have access to, those being all our primaries and all our secondaries. If this, and whatever other complications have been solved for the Incarnate system, does it not make sense to ask for the natural extension of that?
Or maybe, it's just easier to build customization into NEW powers/abilities than it is to go back to all the old ones and do it?

Could easily explain why the Incarnate powers are tintable, while the Pool/Epic Powers as of yet, are not.
  16. When I run it...

I tend to take the kill mission in Perez while I have everyone else running off to the zones I told them to way before the hunt missions begin.

Like during the first or second mission, I'll tell people "You go to this zone, you go to this zone, you go to this zone" then when they complete it, I'm at the zone I need to go to, and when they complete their zone, I tell them the next zone to go to.

Sometimes I'll switch it up, depending on who on the list is going where. Like a hard hitter to Crey's Folly to tackle the close in level Freakshow.

My problem is that I seem to either lose interest in something at 35, or in some cases 20.

I can't find an AT that is "me"

My friends list is packed and they want me to join them, but I sometimes just don't want to play anything I have, which is an issue because I delete pretty much everything and keep 4 key toons who I try and level, and even they will eventually get deleted. Except my 50 because she is my only one. And I don't like her at all. Not even enough to incarnate her or buy her cool recipies. (Emp/Psi/Power Mastry) and I only ever bring her out when the team is blaster heavy and they all get mezzed.

It's not that I don't enjoy the game. I love all of the story plots. I love the feel of the game and the costume creator and all of that jazz, but Im not falling in love with anything I play, and I as an RPer should be loving them. All are concept, and all of them have backstories and such.

Heck even my Widow who is fun...is now sort of slowing down.

    Im hitting a wall somewhere.

Am I the only one who feels like this? Or is there a point when the AT you thought you liked just disolved. And again this is not for lack of trying or altitis, it's more to do with the issue of not finding something that is both thematic, and fun for me.
I have this same problem, only I tend to push the way to 50 first before I abandon them.

Things that help me enjoy the toons I make...flashiness.

I LOVE Dual Pistols, but there isn't a Secondary (or a Primary in the case of Defenders) that I want to put with it, and Blasters don't feel comic book superhero to me at all (to squishie).

Scrappers I find is the AT that does the good mix of damage and survival for me (Brutes too, but when I solo I tend to afk a lot, sooo I hate rebuilding fury, even though it's so easy now). Currently I've just focused mainly on my lvl 50 DB/WP (with forays into Spines/Elec Scrapper and SS/FA Brute).

However, I'll likely rename then reroll my concept that I love (and fits into so many various powersets so it's easy enough for me to do...except Dark...*sigh*...DP/Dark I may enjoy) into a different Scrapper Combo, as while WP is awesome, it's also boring with no clickie outside of it's tier 9. :/

But since I love the game, I stick with it

    Deleters Remorse

I actually don't recall deleting my INV/EM tanker. :/ I don't see why I would have either. Not that I'd be playing it now, but I regret that one, because at the time I remember having nothing but fun on it and when I went looking for it...gone! And I SWEAR I never deleted it!

    *sigh*

My other regret, is my DM/Regen I deleted right at the time of the Instant Healing change.

    *sigh*

See what rage can do to you?!

My only regrets have been those two. Though I have not, nor will I ever delete a 50! No way! I've moved them to other servers to be left unplayed, but never will I DELETE them!

This is my planned build for my currently level 41 (or 42) Spines/Elec.

So far, I'm just missing the Oblit's, Hami-O's, Purples and of course what slots I don't have (like Tactics isn't fully slotted with it's set yet). So yes, I do have the PvP IO in the build (the steadfast and gladiator's are level 10, not 50 like in the build) already).

I notice the difference of just a bit of defense. END management isn't the best YET, but I do think it's something I'll have to keep an eye on with powersink over coming it, but still needing to keep a watchful eye on it.

Powersink works as great mitigation as once they're drained they just hurt you less.

Planning on the ST attack chain of Impale -> Ripper -> Throw Spines which combined with the damage aura (and -resist procs), I believe put me over the 190 DPS (enough for AVs at any rate).

Went the Positional Defense route, as S/L Defense with just one ST attack seemed to be wasted.

Also, the build I'm sure can be a bit better, but I took concept needed powers. I only skipped Build Up, because I needed the room for power picks!

As to the Spidey movies, I believe that Rami stated that if Peter gained all the other powers of a spider, then why not the webs? Also if Peter can't afford a car, how could he buy the chemicals and parts to make the webshooters?

As to Batman being dumbed down, in Batman Begins he was just starting out and thus would be prone to rookie mistakes, plus he has to setup the batcave, figure out how to order his weapons and supplies without leaving a paper trail that leads back to him, obtain allies such as Lucias Fox, Alfred, and Gordon, and setup his Identity as both Batman and carefree billionaire Bruce Wayne.
I was thinking more along the lines of Batman not having the science background himself.

As for Doc Savage, you're likely right, but that's not how I think the general public would see it
