Right now they're somewhere between the two and it doesn't suit my tastes.
Practiced Brawler is easily made permable to the point you can click it and have a 30 second window to click it again before the buff wears off.

    No need to autofire it.

Dull Pain, even when I have it perma, Id save it for when I need the heal, not "Oh look, I'm still at full health, let me fire it again just to keep my HP capped".

Now, I could see a reason to keep Hasten on Autofire.

Don't autofire it then! It's really that simple.

    Nevermind.

But having 3 like the OP said is good too.
Do you need them on auto, or do you just want them on Auto?

I never felt I NEEDED multiple powers on auto. On my Perma Dom, I found I just had to include keeping an eye on Hasten as part of it's playstyle (as I put Domination on auto).
  5. How much Interrupt Reduction does one need to slot in Assassin Strike to stop from being interrupted?
  6. So far, it looks like NS - AS - NS - SS is the best ST DPS chain, as I don't think Attack Vitals Tick Damage adds that much more to the damage.

It's also fire damage instead of lethal with just a tiny smattering of toxic, but if you can't take that APP you can't take it.
You have a point. I think I was using just the Spines attacks.

HOWEVER...I did screw up in my post...it was Throw Spines - Impale - Ripper - Repeat for the best chain using just Spine attacks.

    No using Lunge.

So, if I'm not mistaken, using that chain (Throw Spines - Impale - Ripper) should equal about 138ish DPS. Add in 2 damage auras (Quills + DA/FA/ELA's Aura) should add about 40 +/- DPS to a single target.

Seeing as how Ripper can take a -Resist Proc (which my guess on DPS doesn't include), that's going to help a bit as well

What I don't know, is if adding Fire Blast into the mix will help with that chains DPS (as MiDS numbers are off on Fire Blast, last I knew).

Adding Burn, I would think, should be an increase in DPS.

So how do I get out of uncommon purgatory? The funny thing is that my ROLE is to debuff opponents so that my allies do more damage, but the result of this role seems to simply feed better rewards to my allies...
Start attacking a bit more and debuff a bit less?

Really, I haven't seen the need to really go all out on the debuffing to take out the enemies.

There is that old saying that "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" and I think everyone needs to keep that in mind. I see a lot of posts calling it a horrible movie, and I just simply disagree. My opinion doesn't invalidate other people's opinions, and I'm not going to try to argue, because in the end it is completely pointless.

Could depend. Did they hire people within the state to make the outfits?

  13. You know what...I'm just going to go /unsigned on this one.

Not because I really care one way or the other, but because of a few different things mentioned and what not.

    1) Origin Power being allowed to be used past level 10 was basically a bone thrown to RPers who said, "Why would my character stop having access to this power just because I hit level 10"

Now admittedly, why would they lose access to it, doing incarnate content, but that wasn't your complaint at all.

    2) Full benefit of Oil Slick. I always saw Oil Slick's damage component more as a kick-*** benefit, not it's main purpose. It's main purpose being to knockdown.

    3) You say "Make it so or I'm not resubbing"...okay, then don't resub. For something so silly and easily worked around and easily made up for by just selecting a few powers...

Select Interface Reactive for some +Fire Damage.
Slot in an IO for Fire or Energy Damage.
Pick an Epic Pool with an Energy Damage attack...Mu Mastery, Electric Mastery, Energy Mastery...energy damage attacks.

You reason for not picking Interface, is because it's popular and only stacks so much.

Well, let's look at it this way...if you can't light your Oil Slick, I'm sure someone on the team will likely light it, if not on purpose on accident, and if they're not, then you picking Reactive Interface for the Fire Damage to light your Oil Slick, means you're not stacking it and "wasting it"

    It's kinda like AV soloing.

Going "Yeah, I took down Positron" (or any signature character) is more impressive if he's an AV than if he's a watered down EB.

I do it from an RP perspective. If my character can't take them down as an AV, then they can't take them down.

I see. I figured the Build Up/SD would be limited much like Follow Up/BU is on Widows.
  18. What is the best ST DPS chain for a Dual Blade stalker?
  19. I know the solution!

Make components tradeable, but not sellable (at least in WW, if people sell them off market, different story)!

At +4, you're still at max level 51 outside of the trials.

    Cremate
    Build Up
    Siphon Life
    Confront
    Fire Sword Circle
    Soul Drain
    Lightning Rod

    Secondary

    Deflection
    Reconstruction
    Healing Flames
    Dull Pain
    Integration
    Quick Reflexes
    Invincibility
    Shield Charge
    Strength of Will

No, that wouldn't be grossly overpowered at all. And that was taking each power at the level it is available in the set it originates in. Freeform power choosing would quickly lead to every character in the entire game being just as overpowered as my example here. It would be even worse if you are allowed to choose powers from any AT you like.
If they did allow Free Form, I doubt Build Up AND Soul Drain would be allowed, and I wonder why your pick for Charged Brawl out of pure curiousity.

If you're willing to take Shield Charge, Id say OwtS would likely be better than SoW for the +Health instead of the +REC and you wouldn't have to keep Dull Pain on auto.

And what is the new powerset feature they added when they went F2P? Predefined Archetypes with predetermined powers just like our archetypes here.

So yeah freeform powersets are a bad idea.
Okay, I have to disagree here.

CO didn't go F2P because of freeform. And even then, it's freeform had limits to it, by needing so many powers or so many powers in that tree (which meant you got it quicker).

And the basic ATs they give are based purely on comic book stereotypes (the claws user, the sword wielder, the SS/INV type)...with less powers, as they found most players at that point just picked random and/or concept powers inwhich they never actually used.

All that said, would it work in CoH? I think so, but it would take lots of testing, possibly the exclusion of powers either outright or based on certain other power picks.

I think all the testing required would stop it from happening, at least in CoH...maybe not in a possible CoH2 however.
  24. Currently I'm trying to work on a DP/FIRE, /MM, and /EM Blaster Build...while a few purples are in them, you can easily replace them...

As you can see, a bit unfinished. My goal is high defenses, and keeping concept powers...for the DP/FIRE that was basically wanting Dual Pistols and a Sword.
