Quote:That's true. They won't be quite as useful, but that doesn't mean they're ineffective. Since their values don't degrade I'll probably keep them slotted until I finish setting the rest of my powers with common IOs.At the risk of being overly pedantic, the word "ineffective" does not mean "less desirable". Red SOs are ineffective. They provide no benefit. The procs on these new enhancements are ineffective at 20. But the stat boosts are still just as effective as they were at level 1.

Quote:No, I think crazy would be right.Brampton! I lived there for two years when I was crazy. I mean dating a guy.
I worked in Brampton for a time and feared for my life. Although that could have been because the warehouse I was working in was scheduled for demolition. -

Quote:Very cunning.-shines monocle and sips tea-
Oh ho! I'm a complex man with complex tastes. My alias in this delightful online world is my first name...but with a "Z". Clever scoundrel, am I not?
Anyway, when I made my first character, Burning Effigy, I realized an annoying 2 had been added to my global name. Since I met most of my friends list people as my second toon, a sonic defender named Bossa Nova, and that's how everyone in the game knows me I figured I may as well use that as my global, and then it made sense to use it here too. -

Quote:You understood it. Talk to support. Maybe they can change your account to European. You will have to make new characters though.http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showthread.php?t=204652
Take a look at this thread, he says that I can do it, but I didn't understand what he meant because his English was to difficult... Can you please check? Or try to explain me what he said?
Thanks again -

Quote:That's just offensive! Everyone knows Mounties don't wear jeans!Necessary watching before traveling to the exotic land of Canada.
Actually, that was gosh darn funny. -
Quote:That's just awesome. Well done, sir!Yup, that's my boy! Him and his robot babysitter H.A.R.O.L.D.!
"Donnie Gallager was THRILLED when Dr. Aeon opened Architect Entertainment! Accompanied, at the insistence of his mother, by his "babysitting" robot, H.A.R.O.L.D. (Human Adolescent Restriction Of Liberties Device), every day after school he dons the special virtual reality equipment he just got for his 12th birthday and pretends to live the life of a super-hero!" -
None of the tailors have any level requirement at all, so you can go to any of them. Your last costume mission is coming up at 40, but until then there's no reason to favour any tailor over another aside from proximity to you.

Quote:This is very true. I rarely play on any server but Victory, and even when my friends list is completely grey I have no trouble finding teams. As long as you search a bit for players you should find plenty.Don't give up on Victory until you've joined the global channels "Victory Forum" and "Victory Badges". A lot of the action on the server has migrated over to the global channels in the last few years. It's no Freedom, but it's not a ghost town either. You just have to know where to look for the action.
Oh, and welcome back. -
Quote:I didn't mention the NA/EU thing because it doesn't really concern the OP, although I didn't realize the solution was open to everyone. Their mission is clear then. Seek out the email address!Actually, when we switched forums, they set up an email address so that anyone could request a name change, largely because the EU and NA forums were merged, so a lot of names got mangled (i.e. if 'Boo' existed on both, you'd end up with 'Boo_NA' and 'Boo_EU'... which annoyed a lot of people, especially when one of the two had zero posts and hadn't logged on in 4 years).
I don't know if they still watch that address for name change requests (or what it was), so they might still let people. -
We used to be able to change our names in the old forums, but since we moved here we've been locked into the names we had at the time.
I hope Avatea can help you, but she may not to avoid setting precedent, and having a horde of people asking for a change. If she does help, follow Dumple's advice. Choose a name you know you aren't going to get tired of. When you stop playing your main character will you still want to go by their name? If not choose something different. -
Quote:While you do have to enter a CC number to start the account it's not uncommon for a card to be ok for the monthly payment, but not for the NCSoft store.I've thought about buying it online from amazon. Only problem is, if memory serves me correct, you have to add your CC or a game time card to the account to get the free month. I really don't want to drop $50 on the game today. =/ ($20 for the game, $30 for the game time card)

I've never done Isolators before, but I've wanted to give it a try for a while now. Sounds like fun.

Quote:Part of learning a writen language is learning the punctuation of that language. Especial the two most basic and often used characters, one of which (if not both) is common to most European languages. I have to wonder how ... could possibly be more familiar than . or , considering the ellipsis is not actually a common punctuation mark.Yes, English grammar does have many tools. Some of these tools are not quite as familiar to some of the players of this game. This is something that everyone should keep in mind; in this case, Player should have kept this in mind. While I don't believe that the OP's native language is something other than English, it could have been the case and then Player just comes off as an insensitive *****.

Quote:The actual use of the elipsis (...) is to convey that there is something you aren't telling us. Usually it's in a long quote and you use it to shorten it up by replacing the less important information with ... . Used in a different context it gives the sense that you want to make sure the person you are talking to knows that there is more you could or want to say, but you won't. Not a nice sentiment. It could also give the sense that you are going to continue talking. If you don't continue it becomes irritating. And then there's the very real idea that you can't take people who over use it seriously, just like people who don't use capitals, attempt proper punctuation or finish every sentence with '!!!!!!!!!'This. I had a habit of doing it too, but I broke myself of it mostly. The PM guy got a bit too up in arms about it, but he is right. It makes whatever you were saying sound negative or that you're hesitant about something.
The best idea is just not to use it unless you have a reason to. -
Quote:Yes, it is. That's because blasters are designed to do more damage than other ranged ATs. Defenders are designed to be better than the other support ATs at buffing, so the damage they deal is lower.I noticed that electrical blast can be either a primary or secondary power set, depending on what class you are. This is probably true for other power sets as well, so I'm curious, is electrical blast less powerful as a secondary set rather than a primary? Is there a difference at all?
