Quote:Heh, having only recently reached 35 with my first plant/thorn, this is a darn handy thing to know. Especially seeing how much I love using it.Dozens and dozens of vines, each fueling the Healer's Twilight Grasp.
Something else I'm wanting to see: what happens in the last cave of a treespec. Other than confusing the bejeezus out of my own team, perhaps. -
Dang, you people make me wanna PL all two of my scrappers (a 32 db/fa and a 10 ma/wp) to do this stuff.
Not quite enough to drop permanently out of the RPGing I do most Fridays, but still... -
Welcome back.
Now if they'd just give us Broadsword brutes... -

You have been assimilated...

Another nice thing about the level 32 upgrade for necro: ALL of your pets get Life Steal (or whatever it's called), so they're all a bit more self-sufficient at that stage. With Dark Servant at 38, you can plunk that next to the Lich (who generally stays at range), walk into melee range yourself with everyone else, and watch as the two of you spam the snot out of Twilight Grasp.
I've PvP'd mine (necro/dark/soul), generally about 50/50 against tanks, eat most /regen stalkers and scrappers (with -regen on TG and HT). Psi is necro's big weakness.
Necro/dark is also the only pairing with 8 pets (not counting Gang War), 6 permanent and 2 temps.

I edited several of my pet control buttons. I have Attack/Aggressive (default), Attack/Defensive, Follow/Defensive (default), Stay/Defensive, Goto/Defensive and Follow/Passive (default).
The Attack/Defensive seems to do well at getting pets to fight without chasing after something across half the map. Word to the wise however, in case it needs to be said; this stance cancels bodyguard mode, though they automatically re-enter it when no longer aggro'd. -
The damage is trivial even without bodyguarding. Twilight Grasp would have to miss a LOT before I'd even notice. I just walk into groups with pets (zombies in my case) on Aggressive and watch the drunk people get shredded. Having the Absolute Amazement proc in it is just insurance against uppity EBs who don't stun... but suddenly find their to hit in the toilet.
-
As a 50 necro/dark mm with Soul Mastery, I take a perverse pleasure in walking into a mob with pets on aggressive and Oppressive Gloom turned on. They have just enough time to look at me, maybe get one shot off before they're stunned, and drop like flies.
Not as useful with primarily ranged pets like bots, but still entertaining, especially with the Absolute Amazement proc in it. Kept even Reichsman from hitting back consistently. -

Yay, fixed silly out of date sig link.
And the jerk hacker thread still hurt my brain more, but thanks for thinking of us. -
Yep, thought so; it's a Justice Docam/Katfood duo-initiated EU assault...
...or something like that.
Interested in some Justice-style weirdness?
Beware dupers -
Noticed a similar thread over in the Union threads. What is it, we Justicites more liberal in our affections than other US servers?
Oh, and just to introduce you all to just a miniscule fraction of the weirdness that is Justice:

My grav/nrg became a lot more soloable when I respecced and concentrated on a bit less control and a lot more single-target damage. Ignore the single-target immob, go with AoE immob and hold and the single-target hold, and concentrate on damage for a while after that, up to about lvl 30-ish.
If you want more team use out of wormhole, tell the group what you're doing first, ask where they want the package delivered (usually a corner), then slap the AoE hold on a mob and WH them to the destination. The hold negates the kb, and the entire group can end up VERY tightly packed, even withOUT a corner to stuff them in. Your other AoE damage dealers will want to buy you flowers.
Singularity can be immensely handy IF you have enough recharge on it to resummon it when necessary. The repel field it projects has saved the butt of more than one corruptor who was getting overwhelmed - I just resummoned the sing on top of him and *poof*, instant breathing room.
Dimension Shift, in all honesty, would be MUCH more useful IMO if it were single-target. As an AoE, it's really only useful when you aggro more than you can handle at once, which is rare if you're spreading your AoE hold and immob around effectively. -

can we say nova?

I guessed a specific individual, not a group. -

However that works...how can you have rain in an underwater city?

It's not underwater ALL the time... -

the Legacy Chain is already busy helping out in the Hollows...

I haven't trusted the Legacy Chain since one of them dropped a Ryleh's Rain (old base salvage IIRC) on me...
For the curious... -
