Not sure if they're archiving the weeklies, or just the bigger dev chats... or if there's even a difference... but the ones they DO have up can be viewed here.
Usually takes them a day or two to show up. -
Sadly, this won't help. If he's butt-hurt about Masterminds, or Tankers, or any AT that isn't his personal favorite doing this, then he's going to be butt-hurt about it forever. And even if he does "do it better", who really gives a rat's a**? He'll still never give anyone else credit for their own ingenuity and resourcefulness.

Before I logged into the game today, I experimentally put "NA" in front of my login name. My hair caught on fire and every electronic device in the house began playing a different version of "Dies Irae".
Never doing that again... -

To the OP, "Awesome work!"
To J_B... See? That wasn't so hard.
To the Ill/Rad comments, my Necro/Dark Mastermind was killing GMs well before any Incarnate abilities. Eochai, Jack-in-Irons, Kraken, Paladin (x2 simo), Adamastor, Babbage, Ghost of Scrapyard, Deathsurge. Also Rikti Pylons and the RWZ challenge. After getting Incarnate abilities, I stopped adding to the list; now I just wander around helping teams (sometimes of one other player) take them out for the badges. -
As has been stated several times, the issue is very irregular. I'll go several days without incident, and then it happens every other time I zone - entering missions, leaving missions, changing zones by any means.
As a side-note, I've also had it occur with NON-Mastermind specific pets - Dark Servant, Singularity, Phantasm, etc. -
Quote:Still, i20 itself doesn't have anything to do with the OP's question, directly. It's an arbitrary point on which some folks have hung a reason to say "No" to the question.A while back somewhere in between i17 and i18 I made the statement that if there wasn't anything for bases by i20 then there wouldn't BE anything for bases.
ever.
period.
That's what i20 has to do with it.
They aint talkin so ima be walkin.
Besides, there's money in that there Entropia.
I don't have time for this. not anymore.
That being said, yes. I have given up ever seeing any further base development. -
Quote:Heh, irrelevant commentary? Your issue with the question has nothing to do with the question. You seem to have the same issue. We all have issues. Yours, perhaps, an inability to overcome irrelevant commentary.
I was asked a question and I answered.
As for me, no, wouldn't buy it. Memphis Bill already covered my reasons. The "work-arounds" later stated would cost more in development than the pack itself, I think. -
Quote:As a side note, /releasepets ALSO corrects the problem even if you DO dismiss them, first. They may not still be in the pet window anymore, but they are still your (catatonically unresponsive) minions. The release command seems to be the ONLY thing they will fully respond to after getting stuck. The bug is really annoying, but not game-breaking for me. As Bloodspeaker and Zeh_Masteh said, I just type /releasepets and resummon. Dismissing the pets, even if they go away, typically won't work as you probably can't resummon.
It is still better than when pets would not zone at all.
It does seem to wax and wane, and I can't see any pattern to it.
Bloodspeaker, I'll make sure to /bug it from now on. -
Tonight at dinner, thought of the superhero name for Numitron's love-child:
Geigergeist.
Apparently studied German. -
Quote:re: Your first point. The bug comes and goes. Has fluctuated in severity since it first appeared. Also, for me, it seems to be worst with necromancy pets. That may very well be a misperception on my part, since most of my Masterminds are necromancers.Weird you guys are experiencing this bug so often: I may get this bug once a month =\
To temporarily fix it in the meantime, just type "/release_pets", and all your pets will die and you can just resummon them, good as new: no dying necessary.
re: Your second point. Yup, said that. -
And to reiterate, I can't stress this enough: /bug this problem EVERY time it occurs. It's why I have (and provided, above) my standard format for the bug report. It's also why I (again) suggest using a different bug title each time. The more complaints they get, the more they will realize the need for a genuine fix, and having worked tech support myself for several years, they can't easily bulk-edit them out of the system if the complaints all have different titles/subjects.
-
Ever since this bug cropped up it has, like SO many CoH bugs, been "fixed" and reappeared numerous times. It has waxed and waned in severity. Sometimes pets get stuck EVERY time they zone, other times it's comparatively rare.
Honestly, the biggest and most pervasive bug in the game... is it's root code... -
Quote:I have never complained about it HERE. I have bugged the issue EVERY time it occurs, with a different bug title. I have a notepad to save my basic format: "[Mastermind type] (Mastermind) pets stuck at [zone-in location] when zoning from [zone 1] to [zone 2]". I just fill in the locations, add any other relevant details (few), and move on. I have bugged the issue as much as 20 times a day, I'm sure. It should surprise no one that I play a lot of Masterminds...I'm really surprised more people haven't complained about this. I pretty much gave up playing my MM until this is fixed. I got sick of having to go let myself be defeated in order to gain control over my pets again.
Also, you DON'T need to die to rectify the issue. "Dismissing" pets doesn't make them resummonable, but the slash command /releasepets ALWAYS DOES. I have had this command macroed on all Masterminds since this bug became pervasive. -
Heh, doesn't equal "helpful" either, I'm sure.
FWIW, I accepted the option on four of my Justice 50s, two from each side of the tracks. I do have an interest in helping new players that seek help, and appreciate the fact that now, at least in theory, I don't have to run into them by accident. They can see me.
Granted, I'm not available all of the time. I do still play these characters, run tip missions and task forces, manage two supergroups, and so forth. As such, I'd really appreciate having a simple on/off switch for the option, rather like a cab with its un/available sign. Would be nice if it were a simple button on my UI that turned gold or blue depending on my current status, so *I* can tell when I'm in "helper" mode without having to run around with my character name turned on all the time. -
Quote:Know the word, still not "obvious".I think it's a joke based on the name. PEAT, as in moss, as in peat moss.
-
Presumably because of the Devouring Earth situation around Praetoria. But I agree: not obvious. And IMO, not desired. If I want to play a plant-themed character, I go happily play my plant/thorn dom.
-
Another favorite: Walk. Right after some dimwit Speed Boosts me in the market. I just walk around them until it wears off, and go back to doing what I was doing.

In retrospect, another fave is a rather specialized use of plain old Brawl. Try using this on a weapon-using toon with a pirate peg-leg. Because, well, sometimes your hands are full... and you just have to poke someone in the groin with the peg...
My brain always inserts a very cartoonish *POINK!!!* sound every time it happens.
Edit: someone earlier mentioned Tenebrous Tentacles when used on large enemy models. Even better? Spirit Shark Jaws used on the Hamidon nucleus... "DAAAAAMMNN, that's a FREEKIN' BIG FISH!!!" -
Quote:My favorite accidental uses of Propel; throwing...Propel. Yes, it needs some work on cast time. But still, bouncing a forklift off someone's head never gets old.
coffins at Vampyri
safes at bank robbers or guards
forklifts at dockworkers
slot machines at casino guards
bio-hazard barrels at Devouring Earth
dumpsters at Lost
copy machines at Nemesis "office workers"
cars at any gang members that were STEALING a car at the time
the same thing that a Consigliere JUST threw at me
hero statues at villains
barrel bombs at Rikti bombs
lamps at Black Swan's shadows
power poles at gremlins AND Deathsurge
treasure chests at Spectral Pirates
fire hydrants at Hellions... ESPECIALLY at structure fire events
mailboxes at... anyone (YOU GOT MAIL, B****!!!)
I *think* that covers it... might have missed a few. -

Quote:Perhaps we should be "checking our corners" and using nifty S.W.A.T. team emotes, too?So... am I the only one completely thrown by this statement?
"The trick is to travel in single file, to hide your numbers from the scaling AI."
Wait, what? There's not been a SINGLE trial I've been on that has mentioned this technique. It doesn't even make sense. Anyone have light to shed on the subject?
Nope, the comment makes no sense to me, either. How does everyone "travel in single file" when spreading out to cover doors on the "escape" stage of a BAF?.. -
Quote:Then you have a narrow opinion of the meaning of "farm". Rewards granted for reptetive actions taken are part of the game from one end to the other. Some people run varied content to this end, while others run the same content repeatedly, but at the end of the day, they've all been repeating the same actions - running missions and beating up virtual enemies. The only reason the Trials are thus far the only means to this specific end (Incarnate powers)... is because they are new.Like a Pyromaniac in a field of strawmen I will burn this notion down.
To get these incarnate rewards you must run multiple times the same 2 missions.
Any other path would take you YEARS of game play. All of the other content is wide open to be played for all other purposes and drops shards if you are 50 and have your alpha unlocked.
On one hand all of the entire game - on the other hand 2 missions that take 30 minutes and must be run 20-30 times. Run little strawmen run but you will still burn.
And your attempted wit impresses no one. -
Okay. Crisis Averted.
