*shrugs* they don't take kindly to being called dictators?

    Would they prefer Mr Tator?

Or should we just call them Dick?

The stupidest thing is... outside of teaming with friends and forum events, the only teams you can reliably find are STILL PUG AE farms.

You could take that information, and realize that it's not healthy to arm wrestle your clients... or you could make a big gustapo style speach and start censoring anyone who speaks out against you. You know, whichever you think is healthiest for the game.

Well it lasted a few hours anyway, but it was well written.

    Wow. Just freaking wow.
  4. And the villain I will be attending with is... drumrole please....

Archon Hellheim, my level 34 Ice/Ice Dominator.
  5. You're a solid player Rock Crag, I'd hate to see you go.

But I guess the dev team is willing to lose players like you if it means that nobody ever gains more than one level per week.
  6. I'll work on getting Sunserpent, my new baby Dom on this server, up to snuff in time.
  7. Don't worry, at this range, your aim is bound to improve
  8. I'm in... I think.

Ya deal me in. Not sure who I have in range, but I definately want in.
  9. "accidentally".....

    right.
  10. This sounds like so much fun. If my fridays ever clear up I'd like to join in.

    server

in theory for up to two hours, in practice, not usually that long.
  12. It's so awesome how no official source will even comment about this. Why pay attention to a small section of people trying to use MA as intended when you can instead make a big scene about retroactively punishing people for using your software the way you made it.
  13. Per impossible and difficult to obtain glowies.

This is a stupid reason to pull a map. My map didn't have any objectives on it. If it did though, and they spawned way in the air or something, people would hate that. They'd give me low ratings and leave me comments to that effect, and the onus would be on me, the creator, to fix it.

Instead we decide we're going to yoink options away from everyone because some interactions aren't as smooth as they could be. That's assinine. Hidden/ bugged objective placement happens all the time (well not all the time, but has occured a number of times over the years to me) in traditional missions, and I dont see them pulling those Contacts down.
  14. Well that's great. Meanwhile my story is ruined with no advance warning, no way to prepare, and no way of knowing whether I should rewrite the last mission or wait this inanity out.
  15. I put the last mission in a regular, not on fire, forest, so it's playable. There's just something of a cognitive disconnect when the contact makes a comment about how the whole forest is on fire, and then you get there, and things are not even smokey.
  16. I'd suggest my arc but it was supposed to end in a big forest fire and they yanked that map so I dont really know if my arc is all that great any more.
  17. Well that's just [censored] great. I spend a week writing this story that ends with the big bad lighting the Vagabond Forest on fire, including dialouge about this in the mission set up, and they just yank the damn thing without telling me, and I have no idea if it is ever coming back in any kind of reasonable timeline.

If this is how bugs are going to be handled, I'm done writing for MA.
  18. Arc Name: King of Thieves Part 1: All Hell's Breaking Loose
    Arc ID: 76190
    Morality: Villainous
Factions: Custom, Arachnos, Circle of Thorns
    Creator Global: @Blood Spectre
    Level Range: 5-54
Synopsis: Part 1 of a 3 part series dealing with the Archvillain King Midas's attempt to use the players to take control of the Cap Au Diable underworld. Join forces with the King of the Goldbrickers as he seeks your aid in crushing rival gangs. The work is dirty, and the money is good. This first story centers around a custom splinter group of Hellions with a powerful new leader. It culminates in a mandatory Elite Boss battle with the Hellion leader and many of his followers. The rest of the story will follow in coming weeks.

If anyone will try my story and leave me legitimate and honest feedback, I promise to do you the same service for one of your stories. I hope you enjoy!
  19. Well I finally got the damn thing. An entirely awful shopping experience. Best of luck to the rest of you still trying.

And I swear to God if they billed me more than once for this thing there will be Hell to pay.
  20. You're real clever. Right up until you stop to consider that they invited hundreds of thousands of people to use the sight at once with a series of advertisements and announcements. Nobody just happened to drop by genius. People came to buy a product that was advertised to them, which had an anticpatable maximum demand.
  21. The thing about this that is driving me to screaming madness is every time this thing times out on the last page (9 in a row now, not counting the number of times it just plain failed to get that far) I have to go back and check my account, waiting for the overworked server to eventually load my details to check and see if my order didn't get go through in spite of the error saying it did not so that I dont get double billed.. Then after all that run around I can go back to pissing away my day off trying to make a purchase from these people.

It's not, in fact, feasible to plan for some indeterminate amount of server load. You can only plan based on the load you actually see. If this is the first time their servers have been hammered this hard (and it's certainly the first time I've heard of it happening), how were they supposed to plan for it? Just because it's the Magic Pack doesn't mean it included a crystal ball for the IT people.

That's straight up BS and you know it. They know how big their subscriber base is. The number of purchasers at any one time can't exceed that. This isn't WoW. There aren't millions of people who can clog the store for hours and hours. It's just sloppyness.
