Given that Avatea flew cross-country Saturday night or Sunday, I say cut her some slack. The codes will arrive when they arrive, and my moolah would be on later this week.
I too was surprised that they did not have physical cards to hand out, however the e-mail format should work just fine. As long as they can read my handwriting, that is....
One last thing - it must have been annoying for the folks working the check-in table as they were mere feet away from a great party! The Lineage II folks were all on some kind of scavenger hunt, with stuffed animal critters as prizes! -
At the panel I asked Posi two questions, one about the AE Guest Writers and the other about the novels. They were towards the end and it appears that Lucas did not get them into his feed.
Posi said the AE guest writers were a success and they would like to continue them.
When asked about converting the existing novels into a comic format, he indicated that putting the non-published third novel into comic format would be a much better use of their resources. Now I asked this question after hearing him say that they have David on staff and something is upcoming. However, I have no idea if this is what he was speculating about. -
Anyone going to be around next Thursday night to get some food / drinks?

That looks spot-on. Can't wait for this movie!

Quote:I am puzzled. You say that Simonson's run on Thor was far too short (he wrote almost 50 issues and drew over 30) but you love the David / McFarlane run (lasted 14 issues).I had to go with the early Grey Hulk stuff by David and McFarlane. Both were making careers on a book that John Byrne had left hanging when he went to go reboot Superman, and I lost respect for Byrne as a result, because he's never really stuck with a project since.
But Peter David went way back to the roots of the character, made the Grey Hulk utterly unforgettable, and set up the resolution of his identities brilliantly (and I'd argue created the Hulk we have now that genuinely is integrated with Banner). McFarlane really got to soar on this book, and the Wolverine issue is a standout.
I dearly, dearly love the Simonson run on Thor, but it was far too short. It was and remains for me the single best take on Thor ever, because Simonson wasn't afraid to embrace Thor's mythology, very much as Greg Pak did with Hercules not so long ago. And his final line on the book ('So say we all!') is one of the most majestic and heroic in comics. And he did the daring, which was to do all splash pages in the final climactic battle with the World Serpent and use the original mythology brilliantly.
Almost a tie, but not.

Just got home from work - TY for looking into this and for the PMs!

Thanks for the advice - nothing seems to be helping.
I can log into Titan Sentinel and track my character. I just can not log into the Titan Network or City Info Terminal website. I keep getting an error that says Username or password were not supplied, even when I am typing in the info. -
Soooooooooooo....I need some help.
I can not log into CiT or the Titan Network. Every time I get a new password sent to me, and I enter my user name and the new password, the system tells me I have the wrong info.
This happened just after I did the /info_self update tonight. I have had an account for quite a while, so I am not sure why this is happening. Any advice?
username is BlackSun17
Thanks! -
Will be there Friday - I probably can be found playing Dragon's Lair....

PvE Badger that dabbled in PvP. In it's current state, there is nothing in zone PvP that I like.

CBR is running a pretty interesting poll. click here
I was pleasently surprised to see so many great runs across many different books. These were the books that shaped my childhood and made me a life-long comic reader and fan. Yes, there were some bad Marvel books out there too (Team America anyone???) but Marvel was really hitting on all cylinders in the '80's.
Going through the list, my loyalties quickly were torn between the Claremont/Byrne X-Men run, the Simonson Thor run and the Byrne FF run. Oddly enough I put the Miller Daredevil run in 4th place, closely followed by the Stern/JRJr Spider-Man run. I ended up choosing the Byrne FF run as it really captured the magic and spirit of the Marvel Universe for me each month. And it had great art!
Curious to see what folks here choose.... -
<------------ late to the party
Wish I found this earlier in the week as I want to get one...and it would have been an extra bonus to help out a fellow Triumph player! -
Quote:I am not worried about having matching numbers - just to have the Strike Force gaps filled Redside.I bet there will be people out there who'll never get tired of whining that the blueside has more TFs than the redside has SFs. I've been playing CoH for seven years (and CoV for six years) and that pathetic mantra just -never- gets old...
I'm surprised I haven't seen people whining that the blueside has more TFs than Praetoria yet. *rolls eyes* -
I bet that they get through all of the Strike Forces sooner rather than later....

Read the thread title, and in my head I heard:
"Heyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!" -
IDW is publishing Godzilla - Kingdom of Monsters next month. To help get this off the ground, IDW offered any retailer that ordered 500 copies of the book the opportunity to have their comic shop smashed by Godzilla on the cover.
500 copies is a lot...but the chance to have your comic store on a comic cover is pretty frikkin awesome.
I like the idea - IDW got 75 retailers to participate in the program, which means that there are over 37,000 copies of the book going to these 75 retailers. And that is probably 36,000 more copies of the book ordered then if there were no promotion. Pretty clever....
Follow the link to see all of the variant covers. Glad to see Newbury Comics joined in this promotion!
Godzilla smash -
If anyone in the US can't get a copy let me know. I am willing to go to my store, purchase their remaining issues of #2 (which may be up to 4), and mail it to you for free.

Quote:Picked up #1 and #2 tonight in Boston. They are sitting under the newest issue of Green Lantern, and I look forward to reading them tonight.Just a heads-up, folks. Twilight Guardian #2 is on the stands as of today, and if you want one (and you haven't pre-ordered it), you might want to act fast. I talked to Top Cow today, and Diamond Distributors are entirely out of #1!
FWIW, the store (NEC) I frequent has ordered more of TG #1 and #2 than Next Men #1 and #2. Selling more than Byrne - wild! -

Just stumbled across this website - according to the creator:
Quote:I like this version of Captain Jack - very cool!Originally Posted by deanSpringfield Punx is a little pet project of mine. Just to make things easier here is the pic. Not too bad....
