    I know I already PMed you about this but MMs are getting pistols in issue 7 does this mean that blasters are likely to get them in a later issue?

    Extended cat n' mouse or slugfest fights are fun when they happen 1v1, but it's just not practical to support that in the team game. PvP rewards would have to be rebalanced around the idea that hardly anyone would ever die. For one thing, healing and buffing would have to get nerfed through the floor or nobody would ever die. Can you imagine a team of AVs fighting a team of AVs, each with pocket empaths healing them to full on every hit? It'd be worse than watching a Night Widow on Night Widow gladiator fight.

    I have to agree with most that the thing that I hate about PvP is that burst damage is too much. It doesn't feel super heroish/villainish to be taken down in two or three hits. If healing had to be toned down so that, we could get more super hero/villain type fights then so be it.

    Yeah really. Didn't you just say in the Brute thread about fury that players counted as AVs for fury building purposes? But they only count as minions for critical chance? That doesn't seem right.

    Yeah, this is what I don't get, with my scrapper I rarely ever see criticals. I think it would go a long way with boosting scrappers in PvP. Of course this is coming from a guy that has a katana and DM scrapper.

    Yeah what I'm wondering is what adjusted means. Will toggle dropping still be possible just with lowered percentages? Will your toggles not actually drop but, work at reduced effectiveness? Both of those sting pretty badly, especially when you're depending on that defense to survive. Though if it's going to be anything I'd probably rather have the second because the time wasted retoggling is annoying.

    Honestly, if the possibility of anyone remaining perma-Taunted is there, it's gonna be a pain.

    Personally, I don't want Tanks given usefulness in PvP at the expense of other players enjoying themselves.

    This is kind of what I'm wondering too. I mean if the completely remove detoggling then maybe it will be enough to give tankers a use in PvP. If there is still going to be a form of detoggling though then I could see tankers just getting beaten down.

    Example.
    Hero team comes up to villain team.

    Tank goes in first punchvokes 3 players.

    Tank gets hit with Assassin Strike, Bone Smasher whatever.

    Tank has two toggles supressed (reduced effectiveness but toggle still on).

    Tank gets ripped apart by the players he just punchvoked.


    I mean this is all speculation and it's awesome that gauntlet may have a use in PvP, but in a way this change can be a bad thing it just depends on how it's worked in. I mean I'm sure there's been a time for each tanker when he's aggroed more than he can handle. In PvP players are way more intelligent so that would be like agroing a full group with no toggles on heh. Again this could be an awesome change and it could completely suck, I think it depends on how detoggling will work.

    Also will this change work for Brutes and taunt auras also?

  10. I agree I would love to see a mission like frostfire, that is above level 10, for the two of them now. They deserve to be called elite bosses because they are the original leaders of the group, calling them a boss doesn't do them justice. Plus maybe it will help get people out of the hollows and doing their normal missions.

    Does each AT have a rep or is each AT supposed to be getting one? I think I've heard of _Castle_ as being the Stalker AT rep, though he does a lot of communicating to the community. Are there any other reps or are there going to be? Does anyone know?
  15. I posted my ideas for a Ninjitsu Scrapper set and Tanker Energy Aura set here.

    I don't know you may think a AoE placate is good, but I think it would be awesome. It makes it so the enemy can't attack you for a short period of time, and it's an AoE! To me that's an awesome power. You could almost take an alpha strike with that. Starsman is right it might be too powerful now that I think about it, but I guess if it's not too powerful for stalkers it might not be too powerful for scrappers.

    Also Ninjitsu base numbers are the same as SRs, and they get AoE defense in their second toggle. The idea I posted would have a bigger gap in AoE in the long run, but that's because their needs to be a weakness somewhere otherwise it's way better than SR.

    You can only slightly consider it content though. This game was built around not having PvP when it first came out. There are a lot of players that are here because it is mainly PvE content and only like the PvE content.

    Even me I'll stop in the PvP zone from now and then, but for the most part I don't like PvP right now. 1-2 shots kills is not how I envisioned a hero/villain fight. The level 50 zone might be better and I'll try it out, but trust me had they added Ninjitsu to scrappers or Electric Armor to tanks, I'd be starting a character now to save a name for them when they did come out. I seriously would consider deleting Onyx Raptor (35) and restarting him because Ninjitsu would fit his concept better. That would give me 3-4 months of busy work, just to get him back to his previous level. I seriously don't understand how come they didn't consider spending a week or two of just passing around some of the sets (Ninjitsu, War Mace, Battle Axe, Energy Aura)

    I'm not sure how easy this would be, but I thought Scrapper and Stalker defenses were the same? Which means it would almost be a copy and paste. Brute Secondaries are 75% of Tanker Primaries if I remember correctly, and I'm sure there is a percentage for Brute Primaries to Tanker Secondaries, since they have done it before. I might be wrong because I really don't know coding too much, but it seems like it would almost be a copy and paste deal with a little bit of testing. Obviously some things would need to change, but they would be quick fixes. Like turning Energy Cloak into some type of energy taunt aura, but I don't think it would have taken them too much time to do this. Again I could be wrong.

    Why do their need to be so many unique sets? I'm sorry for probably every hero you can think of a villain with similar if not the same powers. Brutes should have Axe and Mace. I wouldn't give them Broadsword but I would give tanks and brutes Claidhmore, or something similar to it. I just imagine brutes and tanks with something bigger than a broadsword. Tanks should have definetly received Electric Armor and Electric Melee. Scrappers should get Ninjitsu.

    I don't see how come Issue 7 couldn't have looked like this.

    New Powersets

    Electric Melee, Electric Armor, Energy Aura (Tankers)
    Electric Melee, Electric Armor, War Mace, Battle Axe (Brutes)
    Ninjitsu (Scrappers)
    Dark Melee, Dark Armor (Stalkers)
    Thugs (Masterminds)

    Sure some of the sets aren't completely new but they are new to the ATs, and it would make a lot of people happy (you can't please everyone). A MA/SR scrapper would play a lot differently than a MA/SR stalker. Same goes for a Ninja Blade/Ninjitsu stalker to a Katana/Ninjitsu scrapper.

    This issue is a disappointment to me though because CoH pretty much got nothing, and even less if you don't already on CoV. I expected CoH to get little but I thought they may pass around some of the sets atleast.
  18. Grr. I've written like 5 different long post about how annoyed I am but it doesn't matter, I just seriously wish they wouldn't have called this Issue 7 if it wasn't seriously going to have some CoH stuff in it.

    Not to mention once again we're hearing we just need to wait. Yay for waiting.

    If only I would have seen this a month ago I wouldn't have renewed for the next 3.

  20. I just saw Underworld Evolution and now I kind of want to see a powerset with like nail attacks. Not quite claws, something with maybe a few claw attacks and some punch attacs maybe. Something for werewolf fans . Is that an infringement at all?

    P.S. In case you're wondering, if you liked the first Underworld, I think you'll like the new one.

    Though I really doubt that power customization is ready .
