Also, when the devs said you can't respec out of your PPP, they mean that you can't respec INTO a different one. You can't go, "I don't like these flying ghost sharks, I'll just respec into GW's powers!"
This was explained as a coding issue, which makes perfect sense. Since you may do the patron missions ONCE, that means you may have access to ONE PPP, But, if you hate the set, you can ditch all four powers, and pick up other ones.

Um duh! Why do people insist on explaining this again and again? It is widely known by now that people can not respec out of a PPP after it is chosen. THAT is what people have a problem with. Not being able to respec out of it. Sitting here saying you can use your respec and then choose the crap you didn't want to choose between 1-40 at 40-50 is asinine. Being told by a dev that you do not have to choose a PPP is a copout and a pisspoor one at that. Heroes get APP and are able to respec out of them, due to nerfs/buffs or simply changing of ones mind. Villians should have the same option. -

Any one villain could turn any one hero into a red stain on the pavement, with or without Focused Accuracy, or whatever useless click-buffs you love for some reason. All epic or patron powers do is mildly flesh out your power roster. These powers are not life-changing.

Can you think of anything outside of the buff sets (like Recovery Aura out of empathy, Accelerated Metabolism from Radiation) besides Quick Recovery from regen that doesn't require a hit on an enemy to recover endurence?
I can't. And usually they have a higher base accuracy anyway.

Nobody's saying that the snipe can crit. In fact, I highly doubt it CAN crit. That'd be overpowering. It also won't be as strong as a Blaster's snipe, in the same way that, say, energy blasts given to Controllers in their epic pools are scaled down a lot.

Giving stalkers a snipe when they already have AS is just insane. So now the great keep moving strategy doesn't mean squat since you can get sniped. Way to go there.

You mean besides that fact that Positron stated it was permanent as is primary, secondary, origin, etc. and you could not respec out of it? -
I just wanted to point out and say how much I truely hate this posting of information on Friday then packing up and heading home for the weekend scenario that always seems to happen. Then picking up the pieces on Monday morning.

Biggest issue I see with the whole "wait and see" people is if this is the same as COH and you can only choose certain power 1 or 2 at 41 then like someone already mentioned in here, so you have to get to level 50 then copy your toon over to test in order to get them. However I would think the devs would know this and give everyone a level bump on the test server. Been done before in beta for instance, with the PVP events and normal play everyone getting boosted 10 levels. But all in all the permanent non respec option is just a bad idea all together. Future nerfs, future chaning of minds, future buffs of other patrons, etc. The devs need to stop hinting at these patron powers and post the damn info already. Then people can start to make informed decisions and plan ahead.

You know you forgot to mention the boost that dull pain, hoarfrost and earth's embrace just got with heal enhancements adding to max as well as increasing heal. Along with the defense boost that is coming fire tanks are only tank not getting a buff.

Heal Self is not affected by AT Mods directly any longer. I'm not certain when this changed, but it was before 9/21/2004. The Heal Self Table is now a straight 10% of the AT's base (unbuffed) Health. So, Tankers still see a greater effect from a Heal Self of even scale than a Blaster or Defender because their base health is higher.
So, these values ARE correct.

Making an absolute statement like "Mayhem Missions are versus Longbow" based on a single screen shot is a stretch, to say the least.
From that screen shot, the most you can realistically say is that "IF that is a shot of a Mayhem Mission, then SOME of them will have Longbow in them."

It didn't actually reset, the SG healing badges are bugged but only with the appearance of the bar. You just don't see the badge meter anymore but it didn't reset. -

What you quoted said level 5 not 1 so they were not the only ones exaggerating. Longbow missions don't really start to overpower everything until Cap Au Diable, but once you hit Nerva that is pretty much all you have, longbow, COT and a couple crey and rikti missions. The fact that longbow are the only thing in PVP missions(Yes heroes have only Arachnos but holiday missions and PVP missions is all the heroes have to deal with). Longbow and COT are in both respecs, first one dealing with those and a few legacy. Cap Au Diable SF, 1 longbow, 2 COT and 2 legacy missions. Higher levels you have COT or council paper missions or longbow PVP missions. The majority of missions you see are longbow or COT I would say 15+. -

Maybe I misunderstood, but it sounded like the one-shot code prevents you from losing more than 99% of your (max) HP in one tick.
So, if you're at 992/1000 HP, and one-or-more attacks totalling 1500 damage hit you in a single server tick, you are left at 3 HP.
Is this how it will work, or is optimism coloring my interpretation of the original post?

Wrong sorry, 1000 hit points at max will leave you at 10 hp. 1000 hp max while having 999 when the one shot comes in you die. -

I'm more interested in a fix like this for NPCs. This also doesn't say anything about a player that's been hit with a -res debuff.

Not if you're out of enemy range by the time the first attack's animation completes.
If I understand correctly, this does fix (or at least mitigate somewhat) the "sniper hits you with AS while you're moving quickly, and you die 200 yards away when the animation completes" broken-reality problem. If they (or one of their friends) aren't legitimately in range when the AS completes, they're unable to finish you off and the assassination attempt fails. Instant reduction in "cheap" drive-by one-shots.
Seems like a pretty significant improvement to me.

This does absolutely nothing for the bigger complaints that have always been there. One that has been around for a while is Ice Armor getting one shotted by AVs, not sure if it still happens honestly since the small buffs ice recieved but I see Energy Aura brutes having the same issue and less hit points. Plus no self heal with hit point boost like ice tanks have. Getting one shotted down to 1% health will not do anything against a full mob that has a AV in it. Plus if you are at 99.9% health you can still be one shotted. So better not take any fall damage before running in. -

Where is there a DOT that does 100% damage on its first tick?
And unless those DOTs are incredibly fast you *still* have time to click some GREENs as your health is dropping.
Ie. *NOT* being one-shotted.
