Notice how Rangle's face is framed by "Free Wine"? Coincidence, subliminal advertising, or plot? You decide.

You can't trust Wikipedia for every little thing.

I am guessing that Zwillinger possibly goofed a time or two and posted in Admin channel instead of Zone Admin channel.
I know that I, and lots of other, people mistype messages into the wrong channels all the time. -
Quote:Your thread was responded to by the particular redname you were complaining about and he explained what he was doing, why he was doing it, and why he didn't see a way to be both inclusive and not have at least some spam that might bug you and others. He even apologized if it ruined your fun....and this is why I didn't post this here in the first place. A redname comment when it was moved, and now ignored.
You didn't particularly like his explanation or apology.
That's the end of the story. -

I see the need for an all-inclusive admin channel.
I also can see that it can get a little overwhelming if used for "admin RP."
I don't see a good way to fix it, other than for the admins to recognize the problem and use discretion. I do think that they need to use the admin channel to announce that they are having an event and, since people are constantly logging on, they should probably continue to use it to let new arrivals know something is going on. Switching to local, broadcast, or some other channel would not let players outside the zone know that something is going on that they might want to participate in. Additionally, it would be difficult to differentiate Admins from everyone else in the channel. -
If WW had crafting tables, I would certainly spend more time there. Right now, I log off my characters at a university, RWZ or Ouro. The first two places I choose because of the crafting table and Ouro is just damn convenient to sell drops and get to anyplace in the game.

Quote:Have you looked in a mirror recently or ever heard recordings of yourself?Who said I was joking? Have you met some of the obnoxious {pancakes} that shoot their foul little mouths off in PvP zones? Those little creeps should be sterilized in the most painful way possible to keep them from reproducing.
If someone killed you in a PvP zone and you responded that way, I am sure you got lots of four letter words tossed right back at you. -
Not that I want to add a fee to /ah, but I used to frequently run into players that I recognized in the Talos Wentworth. We might have exchanged hellos or traded Mystic Fortunes. And that might have lead to an invitation to join a TF or something.
I understand some folks don't like power spam and that's ok and understandable even though it doesn't really bother me.
But to claim that Wentworths had no social interaction value at all goes a bit too far, I think,. -

Hawaiian shirts and Bermuda shorts. NPCs have them. I want them. My characters like to chill out in between cosmic battles and bank robberies.

Excellent info and write up!
An important consideration that I haven't yet seen addressed is survivability. While I haven't done any hardcore testing, I have picked up quite a few different lore pets on characters based either on theme or to shore up perceived holes in my characters. For example, I might want a buffer to get me to the defense soft-cap (or beyond to account for debuffs), or I might want additional AOE, -regen, whatever. I have found that my playstyle on a certain character can make a huge difference in lore pet survival.
Warworks is a great all around set. While it may not have as much ST or AoE as others, Vicky's burst from hidden crits is just incredible. She is also incredibly sturdy. Her ACU partner does -regen and has some AoE from his spammed full auto, but he is much squishier than his sister, Vicky. But with taunt and destiny rebirth I can get a lot of mileage on him.
If you are into hover-blasting, the drones and polar lights are fantastic. The drones have the longest range of any lore pet and the polar lights are like having a pair of kheldians in Nova form as wingmen. If you can stay at range these babies can last their entire cycle and the KB on the lights helps to ensure that no one will get close. But on my traps defender, who likes to sneak up and toe-bomb mobs, the drones, while thematic, can sometimes be a hindrance as they start shooting before I get close to dropping my gifts.
The seers, while generally pretty crappy, are great for AVs that have unstoppable or a similar god mode like Reichsman, Statesman, and Marauder, as their psy based attacks aren't resisted. Honorable mention and a better all around choice to the Rikti Mesmerist. -
Add me back to the list of people who say no, nay, do not want, no thank you, it's not needed, I don't want it, it solves no problem. I had said as much in a much more succinct fashion, but apparently such things are frowned upon in this establishment.

I wonder how many of the people in attendance at the player summit, devs included, were actually Rangle-Bots planted years ago in anticipation of the design-a-powerset panel.

Can we have a similar example with say, tanker footstomp and Force Feedback chance for +recharge?
