  1. Would love to do this - Liberty Girl is possibly available with enough advance notice - but not between 24th and 28th.

Haven't done a Hamidon for a year or two and the above also applies.

I wasn't paying attention so I don't know what's wrong with Hami these days. In Olden Times it was all about everyone getting a plain no-frills suit, turning graphics to minimum, setting an attack on auto, and going off to read the paper while the game lagged like buggery. Has it changed?
  2. Having temporarily ceased grazing the buffet, Linda drifted through the party sipping sparkling white wine. She'd lost Annette, and wasn't keen on interrupting the people she knew while they were dancing. She realized that, for someone who'd been in the Vigil for quite a long time now, she didn't actually know quite a number of the people here. Feeling a little like a wallflower, she was even beginning to wonder if an emergency call for Liberty Girl to rush to Portal Corps wouldn't be a bad thing...

((mainly because I'm having trouble keeping up ))
  3. Just an aside: "Getting to level 45 in six weeks is easy"? "100 million inf isn't hard to come by"?

Am I playing the same game as everyone else?
  4. Linda finished stacking her plate with sundry savoury and spicy canapes, vol-au-vents and barquettes and stopped before Annette mobilized her "Behave yourself" look. If Annie was going to say anything, Linda postponed it by teasing a dainty little pastry topped with creamed Mexican cheese and a slice of jalapeno past her lips.

"Try these!" she implored. "They're lovely!"

As if in encouragement, Linda popped another into her mouth and made a satisfied mmmm sound. She was about to check for the umpteenth time that the seams on her black stockings were straight when, spotting a Vigilant bearing flutes of what looked like Pimms, she put down her plate and lifted two glasses from the silver tray. Passing one to Annie she smiled and raised her glass. "It's been a good year, all in all," she said with a smile.
  5. Tricky, this. A couple spring to mind for Liberty Girl, given her current happy place - either A Lovers' Concerto by The Toys or the Spector-esque Born To Be With You by Dave Edmunds

We Care a Lot by Faith No More is probably a good fit for Firearm.

And Sweet Dreams by Patsy Cline does a reasonable job of summing up Doctor Bindweed's relationship with the everyone else that lives on Earth...

And Lulu Laine might have BB King's Ain't Nobody's Business, or maybe John Lee ******'s Bad like Jesse James.
  6. Fan-dabi-dozi! (I think this is the correct spelling, if the Krankies' single is anything to go buy )

Naturally I love this. It has one of my characters in it! and Ni holding court in a Port Oakes bar reminds me of all those Hollywood pirate haunts in Ol' Jamaicee...

    Friends List...

Everything global went kablooey for me, too.

Not entirely surprised - it is a new issue launch after all... it's kinda traditional
  9. I'd like to say a big "Thanks" to everyone who offered encouragement throughout this - coming up with 50 sketches in 30 days is actually a real grind and as Doc Destiny said, it got old quite fast. Thanks for all the encouragement, everyone - because without it I'd have given up a couple of weeks ago!

I know not everyone who asked got their sketches done, but I was either missing reference or I just didn't get around to it - when you have to churn out a pile of sketches in a short time like this sometimes you just throw down whatever creeps into your head (which is also why so many of these things look so similar )
  10. FINALLY!!!

    The END is NIGH!!

Here are the last four from me - and I managed it - just under the wire!

    Sketch #47: Kiyarii
    Sketch #48: Doctor Bindweed
    Sketch #49: Laura Craft
    Sketch #50: Columbia vs. Nitoichi

And that, as they say, is very definitely that!
  11. Last gasp scramble to throw something up before the end of the day, and the month, and NaNoDraMo:

    Sketch #43: Bambi Delight
    Sketch #44: Hyperborea
    Sketch #45: Circe
Sketch #46: Lulu Laine & Devastatia
  12. Gratz on completing it Doc - I don't know about you but I'm finding it really hard to keep ploughing through. It doesn't sound too bad - 50 pictures in 30 days - when you're sitting on the sofa one Saturday in October, but it's really hard keeping it together to get it all done - and in great style, too!

So gratz again on what Scarlet rightly says is fantastic stuff - and on reaching that level 50. Which Epic Archetype are you going to make, now?
  13. 80% of the way through this gruelling epic event now. A couple more to come later today but right now here's...

    Sketch #40: Ionos
  14. Shadowe and Cassandra.Zero, infiltrating one of those Ccarnival of Shadows parties... Debbie Harry & Iggy Pop: "Well, Did You Evah...?"

Nitoichi, watching Columbia swaggering about; Blondie: Rip Her to Shreds

Annette, contemplating her internal partner, Nitoichi; Blondie: "Always Touched by Your Presence, Dear"

Can't find a decent video for this, but as Liberty Girl suppresses yet more Council and Malta and Nemesis aggression: Elvis Costello & The Attractions: What's So Funny About Peace, Love and Understanding?

Now, I really must go and find something sensible to to instead of browsing YouTube for creaky old videos...
  15. Firearm, taking apart anything that has the nerve to bring their cr*p to his neighbourhood: Motorhead: Ace of Spades

(not least because it's a gamble every time he puts on that dodgy armour of his...)
  16. Lulu Laine, stalking any street, bar or club anywhere in the Rogue Isles, any night of the week: "Somebody's Gonna Get Their Head Kicked In Tonight" by The Rezillos
  17. Liberty Girl, sitting on the roof of Up-N-Away, sharing milkshake with Ni to the tune of Lesley Gore: "Sunshine, Lolliops and Rainbows"

And a cheeky one for Richard Huntington III most nights under the statue: Limmie & Family Cookin' - "Walkin' Miracle"

Heh. Haven't heard that expression for a long time

First one is not entirely umpredictable: Sharrapu (my demonic fire/dark corruptor) blazing through Skyway City after robbing the bank, scattering Longbow agents and PPD SWATs as she tears the place to pieces to the tune of "Firestarter" by The Prodigy
  19. Micropayments would work for me. As would the Global handle style "change it one time only" facility. I'd even wash Positron's socks and pants if it meant we could have this.

    Well... maybe...
  20. This is part suggestion, part plea: I would be extremely grateful for the introduction of a facility that allowed SG leaders to rename their SG. It needn't be a biggie, maybe something like the Global handle change: you have one opportunity, but at least you have that chance. Having built a base and accumulated all the personal items etc. you don't want to delete everything and start from scratch, but let's face it; sometimes we make spelling mistakes, choose inappropriate names, or just pick something that's just bleh. Time helps us realise we should have done better, and it would be nice to get an opportunity to put it right.

    Nice idea!

And guess who was first to leave a comment...
