Hey Lord S,
That corruption in the contact windows shows up from time to time, although I haven't see it in ages.
Are you already aware of the current known issues with ATI drivers and CoH/V? They're in the link in my sig.
6X FSAA is painful on the FPS hit. As I haven't seen the contact list corruption in a while, perhaps a quick comparison with my current settings may pop something out as different with your current configuration and we can narrow down the cause.
EDIT: And when you installed the latest driver set, did you completely purge the old using the software uninstaller in add/remove programs and use something like driver cleaner?
The 7.2s are using a rewrite of the Catalyst Control Center, so if the old one wasn't purged properly, there could be oddities from that. (Not that the new CCC is all glorious... it's got some quirks that I hope will be worked out with the 7.3s... if they ever freaking show up.) (Ooops... they got released today. I know what I'm doing tonight.) -
My only problem with it is that there's no way the costume piece on the right would be convering a nipple unless she was a hardcore mutant.
Yea.. I notice these things.
Other than that nitpick, very nice. -
DANGIT!@!!

Hand of Osiris's Guide to Writing off CoX as a Tax Deduction

I've been a tech for over a decade now and it never dawned on me to write off all my hardware purchases as work related. I remote into work all the time. -
OOO OOO! I got a request for screenshot takers!!!
Turn on antialiasing and leave your shader on high. -
It's gorgeous, and DaosX is on the case. When it's all said and done, it will be framed in my office.
Thanks again, Graver. I can't stop looking at it. -
And Graver has finished. And it is GORGEOUS.
That's the link to his deviantart page.
If you want to download the large version to see all the glorious detail, grab it from here. 5+MBs worth.
Thank you, Graver. It truly is beautiful.
Gonna ping DaosX and see if he's still up for part 2. -
Woot! I DO like it. Very gruff and tumble. Thanks! I'm gonna have to color that and stick it in my avatar.

Some sections are particularly interesting.

Truth. Although they should have NEVER won an award for heavy metal. -
Actually, the correct spelling is in mine... because I corrected it.

Moved before pruning occurs:
Howdy.
In light of the AMD rework of the Catalyst Control Panel with the release of the 7.2s, I decided it was time to put my assumptions under the scope again and see what I've had wrong all along.
Turns out, not much. But there were a few surprises.
The first demo I used was with a fire/dark corrupter inside an older warehouse map. The "new" demo was with my em/fa brute on the north port of Grandville so that I could retest water and world detail.
Temporal Antialiasing should NEVER be enabled. It's total garbage and hurts performance badly.
The jump from FSAA to FSAA+Adaptive AA-Performance is not a jump at all, but rather a performance degradation. So Adaptive AA is out.
Catalyst AI increased my performance by a whopping .3%. It's now out.
I've updated my Settings and Rigs link below to show what I feel to be the best settings to get a good balance of eye candy and performance when using ATI cards.
Here is a summary and full outputs of the testing I did using Zloth's coh demo launcher.
Please look through the testing I did above and poke holes where you see them. I was plannning to write another ATI settings guide based on this information, but at this time I've nixed those plans.
Thanks much. -

The Story Of The Hare Who Lost His Spectacles
Bill
Another Bill
And one more
Oh... background and personality. Hmm. Well, Bill is Beelzebub, lord of the 8th plane of hell. He got bored. Built himself a body using the magics of hell on the mortal plane in Paragon City and has been filling the ranks of Hell's Army with the souls of the villains he slaughters daily. Yea... they only live if the teleporter gets them before they go braindead from loss of blood.
He likes a good drink, a good cigar and a good fight. His talons are about 3 inches long on each finger. (No wolvie claws.) His reflexes are supreme. -
Very very nice. Vexiphne was one of the artists I'm thinking of hitting up for Bill.

I understand this comment. To the OP, great screenie. Corrupters rock, too.
-
Aye, I love it. Bill's far more feral than he's been produced before, and I'm perfectly fine with that. It fits his latest costume move. I wouldn't mind adding the muttonchops in game, but then he'd have to lose the cigar, and we all know that will NEVER happen.
Speaking of that, don't forget the cigar! -
Although, as I mentioned earlier, I'm forever impressed by the man, I could easily turn around and explain that suicide is the weakest form of protest.
-
I love it. I'm gettin a crazy Samarai Jack and Johnny Bravo feel off of it. (And that is a compliment from where I stand.)
-
I enjoy being reminded of that monk. He reminds me of what humans are capable of given enough belief in something.
-
Woot! Now me go back to smashing rocks together.
<grunt> -
You're still here, VV? Cool.
Big Mike, good interview man. Makes me wish all those years of acting hadn't burnt it out of me.
