I have a Energy Melee/Stone Armor Brute nearing level 50. Energy as a primary has a considerable lack of area of effect... save for Whirling hands.
I was thinking about taking Spring Attack. Will Spring Attack work in Stone Armor with Rooted on?
Thanks. -
Hi Local Man. Thanks for the information. I have a level 50 (+3) Illusion/Cold Controller which is my main. I also have a level 50 Illusion/Trick Arrow Controller.
With issue 22 coming and the upgrades to Gravity, I wanted to try this power set out. Local Man you had said Gravity and Storm pair well. I do lots of soloing at the moment. Running for merits, paper missions etc. Gravity/Storm seems scary... but worth a go. *scraps the notion of Gravity/Radiation for the time being*
I know this is a bit off topic... but could I sneak a peak @ your Gravity/Storm Controller build?
Oh and thanks a lot Local Man! My Illusion/Cold Controller is so much for the better because of your advice and posts over the past several months.
Cheers! -
Hey all. I was curious if this is a good combo? I see lots of /rad, but haven't seen it paired with Gravity. Any thoughts?

Here is my attempt @ a MA/WP build. I messed up the slotting on Reconstruction as I originally planned for 6 slots. I am very, very new to working with mids. Any help you could give is appreciated. I really need more recharge. Please feel free to rip this build apart and to help me make this build better. Thanks.

I have very little experience playing a Stalker. So I'm a bit noobish lets say to the class. I've rolled up a Martial arts and Willpower and was wondering is this a solid combination.
I'd be playing %100 PvE. I'd be mostly running solo missions. Gathering merits from quests and the like.
Being extremely new to the Stalker class could someone post a build? I do mess around from time to time with mids, however a seasoned veteran could guide me in the right direction. I am horrible with slotting.
Thanks.
*Title says DM/WP...sorry. -
I just wanted to chime in here and say that this is fantastic thread. I too love the soloing gig. This game is way more than power level here, power level there.
I think I am going to move a few toons over to the Virtue server as it seems RP is more prevalent (@ least Blueside).
Maybe I'll start a new solo project as well. -
Hey gang. I have a EM/WP Brute that has been hanging around for many moons. He was my first level 50 and @ the time Energy was the cat's pajamas's.
Energy for Brutes has gone through some changes since then and I am finding myself wanting to repec the ol' boy and give it a try again. What the heck, hey?
My problem is the build is so old (he still has swift, health and stamina as power choices) I have no clue how to build him back up to current standards... relativley speaking.
I've searched for ideas but not much is out there for Brutes. I hate to ask, but does anyone have a build for Energy/Willpower Brute. I do lots of soling currently. High survivability would be nice as my current build is a complete mess.
Thanks in advance.
Cheers! -
MM's have a total of 6 primaries to choose from. They have 10 secondaries that they can pull from. I think there is some "wiggle" room for @ least another primary.
I think it would be quite neat (unique) to have an "ALL ICE" primary.
Coralex comes to mind.
I think they have good lore and look really interesting.
If you've ever seen them lumbering around @ the ferry/barge area in Port Oakes in packs of a dozen or so, they really have a frightful visage.
Any way that's my two cents (after inflation and the terrible economy it's more like one cent). -
Have lots of experience w/a Thugs/Poison and really like it a lot. I'd like to try Ninja as a primary. Any advice on what secondary pairs well with it? Time Manipulation looks interesting and I have seen a few builds lately on the forum.
How does Ninja/TM work... pretty good?
What other secondaries should I consider. I do lots of soloing. -
Would Street Justice and Fire be really, really bad? How is synergy between these two? Anyone have any thoughts?
-
Mauk. My build is much better now on endurance ever since that I got Agility Incarnate power (I just got the level shift today @ +1 and I'm up to the Agility Partial Radial Revamp). Also some how I forgot the Miracle plus recovery and I am now using that as well.
Oh yeah I spent the bank roll and snagged the apocalypse set , which also has some nice bonuses.
There was no way to get the Ragnarok recipes so I decided to substitute with Positron's Blast in the Ball Lightning power.
I like the Agility Incarnate power quite a bit... seeing it helps with endurance modification, recharge & defense. Also as added bonus it stacks the run speed effect.
I running +4/+2 right now on solo missions w/bosses and not having any trouble. I've purposely been trying news paper missions against the Carnival of Shadows (my old nemesis from my other toon) to see how it goes and popping a few purples defiantly helps me own them.
I love being vacation (takes a sip of his Gin & Tonic). -
After playing pretty much non stop for the last few days I made it to lvl 50. Lots of Tf's along the way and some pwr leveling, hanging w/buds on farms. I went with Mauks build. Less the Ragnarok and the Apocs. I got pretty much everything else though.
Still, I am noticing endurance issues. I was curious does anyone think that Cardiac Core Paragon would be viable? I should add it's not a major issue I just find myself eating a few blues so I don't DE-toggle myself....I am currently running 9 toggles.
Thanks! -
Awesome stuff, thanks. What would you recommend for the Incarnate Alpha slot. Do I need the recharge one?
Also on Muak2's build I noticed a high amount of recharge. I was curious to know Mauk how come Mu over the Fire pool? And why not Eagles Claw? Reason I ask is I'd like to work those two (conceptually) in my build.
I like Pines build... very close to Mauks build as far as defense and resistance is concerned. However Mauks build has way more recharge. Pines build is way more affordable. And Pines build has Eagle Claw (I actually like this) and the fire mastery pool.
I guess my goal would be to snag Pines affordability (moderately so), keep Eagle Claw and fire pool. But keep Mauks recharge rate. Holy smokes my heads spinning now!
I'm quite new @ this... but I'm quick study. Any other advise is welcomed. Cheers! -
Hey gang. First time here in the Scrapper department =)
I would like to try a MA/WP Scrapper and I was curious to know if anyone has played this combo. Maybe some reflections... if you don't mind on how it plays. I really love WP...and I'm a big Martial Arts fan.
I know from other forums they usually don't like it if you request to see someones build, but I'd love to have a reference to draw on. So if someone could post one... that be great. Even if it's high cost.
I know MA has aoe issues but I was thinking about the fire mastery pool. Anyway thanks a bunch in advance. -
Thanks for the info. I do have tons of experience w/melee type characters. 4 lvl 50's (all with incarnate pwrs) and counting. I'm rather intrigue with the tri-form build.
I've been doing a bit of hunting on the forums and if I want to be @ range and buff I'll roll PB. But for now I don't any problem @ all rolling a WS. It sounds like a load of fun. For a fist timer lets say, would you recommend the tri-form build? I'm just so inexperienced @ this whole;e WS stuff, I find that all these forms and powers are a bit daunting.
Doesn't mean I don't wanna put the forth the time in learning how to play a WS. Taking on multiple enemies and having high survivability is something I am quite familiar with.
@ any rate, I do appreciate the comments, as I am hoping to continue my efforts in playing a WS. Hopefully I can tinker with a few builds and find the right one that works for me. I'd like to experiment with the tri-form build/set and go from there.
Feel free to fling more knowledge/builds my way.
Cheers. -
New to War Shades. I want to roll one up and see how it goes. Any suggestions for a play style that stays @ range. Does some buffing/debuffing and has solid survivability. Maybe going too far here but, good @ battling "hard targets". (Elite Bosses and the like).
What forms are best for the play style I desire? Can an all "human" form accomplish this or should I be looking for multiple forms? Thanks in advance from someone how is quite clueless about the War Shade class. -
Wow tyvm Local Man! This really helps. Seeing I have zero xp on TA. In your opinion based on this build what steps would you take to make this perma Phantom Army. Also as side note I do love to team, but lately I have been doing tips and solo type stuff.
And lastly, if time and money (and patience) were spent on the Ill/TA build would this combo be good against hard targets? Many thanks! -
Thanks all! Hey Local Man, I'd love to see your build on the Illusion/Trick Arrow combo. I'd sure appreciate it. I have zero experience with TA and your build from mids would give me a great starting point. Many thanks! I think I might give this one a go. =)

Cheers Lads & Lass's! I currently have 2 Controllers @ lvl 50. My fav... a Ill/Ice/Ice and my new lvl 50 a Ill/TM/Ice. I just cant seem to shy away from the Illusion primary.
So how is Ill/Empathy? It seems rather interesting. And for that matter what other secondary's pair really, really well w/Ill.
Ive learned tons of info from this forum and I rarely post. So I wanted to take a moment to thank the guys and gals for the 411. Local Man's guides where/are particularly helpful as where a host of others. Enjoy the Holidays!
