  1. This is something I threw together real quick and it might be what I would use if I was a premium player. This build has EndRec @ 4.24/s, Regen @ 49.08hp/s, 1941hp and 52.7% s/l resist.

P.S. you could swap out weave (since the numbers are low) for focus accuracy to help with accuracy and slot it with 2 to hit and 2 end redux.

In that case I say make a WP. Not having set bonuses to help out with the endurance on a Invul could suck. I rather have quick recovery to help with the end issues. You could actually get to 50 with a invul and get Superior Conditioning/Physical Perfection from Energy Mastery, but that will only effect high level content. I like Invul over WP, but if I did not have the IO license I would just make WP.

So I have been skipping over it for all these years? I never bother looking at the info on it. Boy do I feel dumb right now. I have played a energy blaster before and I assumed it was the same for the energy mastery set.

    /e, facepalm
  4. Will we be able to slot the new KB to KD set into APP or PPP? I really like to be able to pick up Energy Torrent in the Energy Mastery APP.

My guess is that it wont since the other ATO's are unslottable in APP/PPP.
  5. Like the title says, I am building my first Titan Weapon/Invul brute and I am wonder if it gets better? I am only lvl 11 and the first attack is sooo slow it is killing me. Once I get going it is ok, but will I have to do this the whole time I am leveling? If I want to keep the momentum going I have to attack constantly and will that hurt my end? What I am trying to ask is how is high level game play for TW and is it worth it to keep going?

    - Channelgun
    - Longfang
    - Suppression
    - Venom Grenade
    - Frag Grenade
    - Web Envelope
    - Provoke
All of them except provoke are slotted with 5 or 6 enhancements, often purples, but there's no way you can use all these attacks effectively, because there are just too many of them. I would pick out which ones you really plan to use, make an attack chain, and drop the others. I would say that Longfang is the most skippable, followed by Frag Grenade. You're stuck with Web Envelope as a prerequisite for Shatter Armor, but if you really don't plan to use it, you might as well unslot it and spend those enhancement slots on a power you actually like.

The 3.13% melee defense bonus from Enfeebled Operation could be more than replaced (3.75%) by adding one slot of Obliteration (Frenzy). The 1.25% ranged defense you are gaining from Thunderstrike (Longfang) could be replaced with an extra slot of Defense in Combat Training: Defensive.

With your newly free power and enhancement slots, get Assault and Maneuvers from the Leadership pool. How can you pass up an extra 15% damage bonus for the whole team? And an extra 5% defense from Maneuvers will allow you to soft-cap without being forced to take a specific Alpha slot power.

If you plan to use lots of crowd control procs and immobilization powers, I would drop Frenzy. You just won't be surrounded by enough foes to make it worth using. Arm Lash would be a better choice since it recharges faster and does more damage per activation to targets in a narrow cone. It also takes the Obliteration IO set.

If taunting really is going to be part of your routine in combat, there's no harm in being good at it... you could slot Provoke.

I'm not a big fan of Wolf Spider Armor for Crabs. It gives a very small bonus to damage resistance and you don't need any more status protection. You would be better protected by getting the Shield Wall +3% Resistance IO, which gives you damage resistance to exotic damage types that Wolf Spider Armor doesn't.

Normally my first attack is Web Envelope after I am surrounded, then I use Venom, then Frag, then and then Frenzy (I will repeat if needed). Once the mob is immob they will not scatter when using a KB power. Whatever is left I then switch to single targets and clean up the rest. I dont use Suppression and Omega. Those two power were mainly for slotting mules I only used to get some bonuses. Any idea's what I should get next?
  7. Big_Soto

    Crab Tank

I am dropping Suppression, Omega, and Frag. I figured I will keep 2 ST range and 1 ST melee for bosses and AV's. I also kept 2 AoE's for mobs. I would get the pets, but I already have a pet build I am very happy with. Now I need to try to work something else in and try to get my defense back up. I have three extra powers I can pick and I have do decide what I would need.
  8. They should have just added the Proc to Volley of Velocity KB IO's since they are only 3 in the set and add a KB protection bonus to it. This way it will not be a unique and almost every level can use it and more people will buy the proc. It will be a Win for us and a Win for the Dev's since more people will buy it.

Volley of Velocity is a Knockback enhancement set in the Invention System. It is available in the 10-20 level range.

    Volley of Velocity: Knockback/Damage,
    Volley of Velocity: Knockback/Accuracy, and
    Volley of Velocity: Knockback/Recharge.
Volley of Velocity: Damage/Chance for knockdown/Knockback to Knockdown

Only one of each of these types of enhancements may be slotted per power.

The following set bonuses apply when slotting more than one of the enhancements in this set into a single power:
Two enhancements grants 1% debt protection.
Three enhancements increases maximum Health by 1.13%.
Four enhancements grants 4 pts of knockback protection

  10. I think this is a great idea and I cannot wait. If you do not like the IO, then dont buy it. If you want the set bonuses then slot it into a power that does not have KB and it will not have a KD and you still win. I dont see the problem with them. I am actually very excited about this proc and I cannot wait to buy it.

I like to damage and debuff everything with my ranged AoEs, then slaughter them with Frenzy and Arm Lash when they bunch up around me in melee. This works well because I encourage them to surround me and then allow them to do it. It doesn't work nearly as well if your victims have been knocked down with Ragnarok, rooted in place with Web Envelope, terrorized with the ATO proc and razzle-dazzled with Omega Maneuver. This build also lacks a melee attack chain. To me, this is a control Crab (Crabtroller?), not a tank. It may make your teammates safer, but it will also hurt DPS and drive the real tank on your team batty.

In any case, I think a "tank" Crab should be able to herd them up them for the team to destroy. But if you want to focus on crowd control that keeps them scattered and in various states of incapacitation, I think we could come up with a build that does that. There's always Wide Area Web Grenade and Call Reinforcements.

I guess it is more like a Crab Mage than a Crab Tank. I do have soft cap Melee, Range and AoE. I also have 53.6% S/L resist, 43.5% F/C Resist, and over 39% for E/N Resist. I figured I could grab aggro and Immob the mob and debuff them and the rest of the team can join in. I do not want to be the main tank on a team, but more of a fill in if needed. I usually Immob the mob before I use frag grenade and so I will not knock them everywhere. Omega is basically for slotting only. I do not plan on using it a lot, but I like to have it ready in case I need to.

I have a pretty big budget, but I mainly do high level missions, trials and tf's.
  13. Ok... If you are doing a Crab superteam I am in just tell me when and where. If you do a Fire/Dark troller team that would be amazing and I will join.

P.S. How about an all rad Superteam that includes Trollers, Corrs and Defenders? Just have to have a rad debuff with any offensive power you want.

P.S.S. I am going somewhere I dont think anyone has mentioned yet. How about a Dark/Poison Corruptor team? +8 Tenebrous Tentacles = Lock down Mob, +8 Dark Pit = Stunned mob, and that is just before we get started with the debuffs that are targeted AoE's. I once did an all PvP arena match with 8 emps and our whole goal was to buff the person below us on the team list. The last person on the team buffs the team leader and we all were able to play offensive since we each only had one person to buff. It was awesome and we actual won. We can do the same with the a Poison team, but easier since it is only one heal and one mez resist.

He is actually the only character I have that doesn't look right when he doesn't have his armor toggled on. No other armor set can pull off this look either.

Granite cannot pull off the Crystal look. If it could this discussion would be moot. Since I jsut made the character the discussion is still moot since I can't even get the power until level 38 anyway. If the whole point of Granite is to have Granite armor then it needs to be moved up the tier list a bit. I'm mainly concerned about late game. The guy is a Brute so I'm not intending to do alot of tanking. I have tanks for that. I've just never tried playing Stone armor before and I'm not sure how the rest of the set works.
How about using shield defense with the crystal graphic?
  15. Is Agility the best choice for an Alpha incarnate for Granite armor? It gives +end, +recharge, +defense, and +movement.

  17. I am really liking the idea of an all shield team with stacked grant cover and fighting phalanx would be insane. I would like for everyone to use natural weapon, but I would be happy with any melee set. 8 shield charges will blow up my video card...lol
  18. I am interested in joining a Superteam as well.

I have a question.... Would a Pure Elemental team be considered a Superteam? For example a Fire/Fire team with a Dom, Scrapper, Tanker, Brute, Blaster, Controller, and Defender.

I really wish VEATs and HEATs could begin in the same zone because an Epic AT team would be awesome 2 Arachnos Soldiers, 2 Peacebringers, 2 Widows, and 2 Warshades would be fun as hell.

  20. I remember when I used to use my Fire/Kin Corr for soloing maps. With enough defense a DP/Kin could manage the incoming damage with heals and insp. I say roll a DP/Kin it seems kinda fun. I just took a few min and threw a build together. I might actually make one now...lol

In my idea ever happened you will not have to reroll your PB. You will just have to respec and click on the Knock Down Option. The Knock Back will just be the default for the Kheldians that already exist. Of course we would need to get a free respec too
  23. Magic or Tech? I dont care...lol

I still think my tank would be good for an Avengers team....

We should post up some screen shots of our tanks.

P.S. Do you think they rebooted Spider-Man so he can be added to the next Avengers movie? He is a Avenger now with Wolverine as well. It would kinda make sense, if you seen the movie and the character they introduced after the credits was fought by everyone in the Marvel Universe.
  24. I keep on thinking of a way to fix the KB and I just had another idea. How about give Kheldians two more options during character creation. It will pop up when you are asked for your character info. It will be like this... Select Origin(natural), Select Play style (Tank), Select Archetype (Kheldian), and then on the power selection screen you will get the option of Knock back and Knock down prior to picking your first powers. When you do a respec then it will once again be the first question you are asked like how the VEATs are asked if they want to go Bane/Crab or Widow/Fort.

I know the Dev's are totally against changing KB to a KD, but so many people want this to happen and this idea can still make both KB lovers and KD lovers happy. Do I think it will happen? No , but a man can dream.
