    small statues

    [/ QUOTE ]

Take this a step farther, having customizable statues that you could place in a meeting room or whatever, to showcase founding members of an SG that are no longer with you.

Probably not very likely, but definitely on the top of my 'wish list'.

    [/ QUOTE ]

My personal suggestion was much like this.

Just like some other SG badges, when you defeat x amount of a mobs boss while in SG mode, you get a "statue" to place in your base. IE if you defeat 1,000 or 10,000 Freakshow Tank Busters, you get a statue of a tank buster to place in your base.

This would allow SGs to have a "hall of victories" with all the statues.

This would allow the Devs to expand on the same though and include other mobs like Lts and Minions, but with much higher totals needs maybe you need 1 million for a minion.

But then it could cause a problem with mobs that have multiple bosses like Freaks or Nemi. Do they do a statue for each boss or just one?

Personaly Bases need some MUCH love in regards to form and function.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I love the idea of faction statues. It would be cool to have any enemy type as a statue. Could earn them like normal badges, but for the SG (Tank Buster, Zookeeper etc), higher requirements of course. Whether they are stone, shiney metal, gold, I dunno, but that would be damn cool. Hell, i'll even make the textures for them if I have to :P

The other thing I really want for bases are the arachnos target dummies from the arachnos base tileset, they are a red hologram lookin thing.
  2. 2 things ...

1- Increase the chance Jack in Irons will spawn from 10% to say 20%, OR put in a streakbreaker.
2- Increase the chance that spirits for Buster badge will spawn from ToTing.

    Thankyou.
  3. Poll time for the day job badges

My personal opinion, 30 days is too long. I want to be able to play my toons thankyou and have some chance of getting the badges. The last healing badge is bad enough as it is, aswell as the last pillbox badge (both of which I have given up on at this stage because they are ridiculous to get).

I think that 14 days is a good number I would be happy with.

    Cyborg costumes!

Yeah, I was going to use the cyborg belt .... BUT ... I then I can't have a tail ... now ... if we could have tails aswell as a belt ... that would be a different story hehe

    Cyborg costumes!

The Mercury Monkey. A primate that returned from a Crey exploration mission to Mercury, radiation on the planet altered it's DNA. Increased size, aggression, and intellect, Crey decided to take advantage of this, and gave it cybernetic implants.

Well, if you have a credit card to purchase something on the store, why not just use that to buy game time?

See, the problem is, there is rampant (or well something like that) use of stolen or otherwise fraudulent credit cards with game time. That's unfortunately why we have such stringent credit card usage practices and why we don't make the actual codes available on the website. It's a bummer that it has to be that way, but it is what it is.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Why purchase a game time card online rather than paying for a subscription?

The answer, Lighthouse, is contained in the words "Cash flow".

If I have money *now* to pay for time, that doesn't mean I will still have that money in the future. Since there's no way to set the payment date in the NCSoft store, I cannot pay *now*. I have to wait for the time to expire and my card to be charged.

And that money might not be there by then.

*THAT* is why having the option to prepay for time when I want to and can afford to would be nice to have in the online store. As it is, I have to go and find a physical card, which is *not* easy to do as most stores around here simply do not carry them at all, or have at most one on hand and don't restock, or I have to trust an online vendor of CD-keys to give me one.

I'd rather have the option to prepay on the spot in the online store. Currently, I don't have that option, it is not available.

    [/ QUOTE ]

You can do that using a credit card, you pay for your month, or 3 months or 6 months or whatever, after your account is activated, cancel the automatic billing. When your time expires, you will not be charged until YOU put your credit card details in again to re-activate your account

We have passed on the feedback that people are interested in getting the jet pack outside of these cards and that is being looked into. But, to set expectations, there is no guarantee that an alternate method to otherwise get the jetpack power will be made available.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Can you also ask about the hero gear kit stuff? Even if it doesn't include time, just a code to get the VIP badge and powerslide.

Looks like statesman's mouth is glued shut! (Either that or he has two)

    Nice work sir.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Hah yeah it does ... But unfortunately, that was the best Statesman pic I could find for the use I wanted.
  10. Well, I've been bored the last week or so, so I decided I was going to make a CoX wallpaper.

I had a couple of ideas, but just couldn't get them to look right. I finally came up with a design I liked.

    Couple of things:

The hero background is a little ... fuzzy ... I had to blow up a picture so of course it looks bad at the higher resolutions. Also, the hero logo ... I had to make one myself, and I just got frustrated to the point I settled with what I had ...

    SO!

    Here they are:

    HERO

    800 x 600
    1024 x 768
    1280 x 1024
    1680 x 1050 WIDESCREEN

    VILLAIN

    800 x 600
    1024 x 768
    1280 x 1024
    1680 x 1050 WIDESCREEN

    Hope you enjoy them
  11. :O apparently I am in the comic ... it says so in the credits, but I couldn't find myself ... but cool comic none the less good job with it Chase and Cinder

Lookin forward to readin many more.

    Capture the Flag

I was discussing something like this on Teamspeak with a mate, and we were talking about CTF. We thought CTF would be cool in CoH, but then we thought, nah ... CAPTURE FUSIONETTE! It uses single flag CTF (take the flag from the middle to enemy base), but you just gotta rescue Fusionette ... but then we thought ... Nah, Fusionette is annoying enough as a NPC ... :P
  13. Ummm ... contact NC Soft support ? VISA ? They should work, I've read on the forums a few people use them. I don't know the exact nature of it not working, so one of those two should be able to point you in the right direction.

EDIT: The VISA gift-card-things I was talking about are pre-paid VISA credit cards (or what you wish to call them). Basically, they have a purchase amount on them (eg $30), and can be used like a real credit card upto that amount.
  14. EB Games in Australia only stock (as far as I am aware) 30 day cards and they charge $30 for them ... In other words, unless you are so desperate to play, I would get yourself one of those VISA gift card things and use that, it'll be alot cheaper.

They USED to sell Auto Assault time cards for $25 (60 day cards) (guess how many I bought LOL) before they were changed over to the PlayNC cards.

EDIT: And looking at QV Software, they sell 60 day cards for $50 ...
  15. While sort of on the same topic, sort of not, I hate the new PlayNC cards. Here in Australia (not sure whether it is everywhere, but more so around where I live), the old cards were better, I could pick up a CoH/CoV/Auto Assault 60 day time card for $25AU at EB Games. Ever since they changed over to the PlayNC time cards, I have been using a credit card, because there's no way I will pay $30 for a 30 day time card. Yes, I said a 30 day time card. When they first swapped over to them, and found out the price, I laughed at the poor guy I spoke to on the phone.
  16. I know there are 8 or 9 different IOPs ... what happens when there are 60 supergroups doing the trial all at the same time (yes i am exaggerating, but it is entirely possible) and everyone completes it ... does this mean that all those SGs will actually get an IOP, or will it be first come first serve ... the rest get booted back to their base ...

And another thing, can someone explain the mechanics behind raid scheduling for IOPs ? like how many times can you be raided per day/week, and how often (IF you can defend yourself that is) ...
  17. I can agree with that, it also adds to the opposing side being given a chance, seeing as you'd have to go get your heavy again.
  18. When I ran it with a group for the 3rd time, I faceplanted twice ... at the end of the trial, my entire amount of debt was wiped (little under 200k) ...
  19. When speaking to the broker, you get given the option of taking the mayhem mission or not, you can say 'no thanks' to them. Now, whether saying 'no thanks' then still gives you the contact, I don't know ... You can enter the mission, start the timer, then exit, and continue to do other missions if you want until the timer runs out. Once you 'fail' the mission, you can then go back to your broker to get your contact.
  20. I'm not going to read through 246 posts to find out whether this has been reported before ...

On my level 21 Brute, Mayhem Missions were great, did one in Steel Canyon. All desctructable things were gray to me, 2 hits at most would destroy them. Lots of fun ...

I rolled an Elec/Elec brute ... not too bad ... will have to play a little more to find out whether I would roll one ... anyway, thats not the point ... I got to level 5, headed to Port Oakes, did my paper missions, got my Mayhem Mission in Atlas Park ...

I could only find 1 little side mission, that was a kidnapping ... kinda annoyed with that ... I explored as much I could, only could find 1 side mission ....

The only problem I had with the mission, it was boring ... everything (almost everything ...) conned purple to me ... most destructable items were level 10, compared to my brute who was level 5, I even found a few things that were level 15! I wasnt going to sit there and spend 5 minutes trying to blow up a car ... so the mission was quite boring just taking out PPD and Longbow as I made my way to the bank ...

Bugged it after mission, and i'll try a few more to see if it happens again ...

Based upon a post by Positron, the badges for defeating signature heros/villains will be open to the other side. There is a simpler way than killing them while confused though. Maybe if you figure that out, you won't consider this impossible

    [/ QUOTE ]

... Which post was this ? Linky ?
  22. [ QUOTE ]
Okay, so we know that heroes can get the Villain/Reformed badge on Live by being confused in a PVP zone and defeating Longbow...

Will the same logic hold true for the badges for defeating signature heroes in RV?

I'm not sure I want to know the answer to that...

    [/ QUOTE ]

I posted this a while ago:

    [ QUOTE ]
It would say it would be possible ... the problem with that is the regeneration rate of the AVs/Hs in RV, the fact that you need 15-20 people plus heavies beating on them, all those heroes need to be confused constantly, and when confused your targetting reticle changes every power press (unless your target is the only 1 on the screen) ... that is ALOT of work just for 1 badge ... more work than any other badge a hero can get via confusion ... I am sure that someone is gonna try it, but to be honest, it won't happen any time soon ...

    [/ QUOTE ]
  23. I have had your scenario before castle, and thats because I got too close and aggro'd the mob, so the flash -perception is basically wasted.

The scenario others have described, flash arrow, another hero running in, hitting, then every enemy attacking the TA, I have never experienced this on live or on test. I will give it a few trials to see how things go, but from the looks of things it may be an intermittent bug.

Another thing Castle: is the description of flash arrow change regarding autohit pve, but tohit still required for pvp correct ? because I always thought autohit was an 'accuracy' thing, the tohit debuff just increases the mag of -perception and -acc debuffs, so really it should be an accuracy check for pvp, not a tohit ...

Last thing while i'm here ... the effects for Disruption arrow need to be toned down, and the sound needs to fade after about 3 seconds, like the sonic powers, disruption arrow gives me a headache and makes me feel sick to the point i don't use (well HARDLY use) it anymore ... does anyone else have this problem or am I just a headcase ...
  24. [ QUOTE ]
    [ QUOTE ]
Disruption arrow increases my attack damage by about 25% (will have to check proper numbers though on attacks)

    [/ QUOTE ]
Disruption Arrow is unchanged; it's adding 20% on test just as it is on live.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I was giving an estimated number, wasn't 100% sure on the correct percentage hence the will have to check part ...

I've never had a problem with agroing mobs with flash, you may have been getting too close when firing it off, the mob you were firing at my have had a larger agro distance, the enemies may have been higher con to you, so can see through the -perception easier (thats my understanding) ...
  25. Flash arrow change description is incorrect (I think) ... it now being an autohit in PvE means it still needs an accuracy check in PvP, its effects will be applied IF the arrow's flash hits the target, and not a tohit check for PvP ...

Glue and disruption arrow recharge is great now, 60 second recycle without enhancements

Disruption arrow increases my attack damage by about 25% (will have to check proper numbers though on attacks)

That's all I have played around with at the moment ...
