What is wikimarkup? I looked at the article, and it's all just plain text, with no way to tell which badges are unconfirmed(there is quite a bit of pure guesswork in the list), which are for heroes, which are for villains, which are for both...I mean, the coloring system I use isn't perfect, by any means, but I didn't think it was that complicated.

White - Confirmed, obtainable by both sides.
Orange - Confirmed, obtainable by heroes.
Yellow - Confirmed, obtainable by villains.
Black - Unconfirmed.

(Some badges that are currently villain-only have titles for heroes that show as confirmed; these were confirmed through a bug in the info window that shows villain badges as their hero equivalents when the person whose info you're looking at changes zones.)

Just to pad my post count, and bump this thread I'd like to point out, in case any of you are curious why the hero names for currently villain-only badges are colored as if confirmed instead of black for unconfirmed: If you pull up a villain's Info window and look at their Badges tab, and then they get a sufficient distance away from you(zoning, for instance), all of their badges will change to their hero equivalents, graphic and name. So the hero names of villain-only badges are actually quite easy to confirm. Alas, the reverse is not possible for checking villain names of hero-only badges.

Just adding in Dianeces and Trollslayer's confirmations. No new confirmations of my own, alas. Oh, and I changed hero titles to orange. The red was hurting my eyes.

Just a note, I was in RV on Test last night, and out of curiosity, I went to see if there was a Contaminated in the tram station. Sure enough, there he was, puking his poor little guts out. I totally forgot that I had a Heavy, set to aggressive. He ran in, saw the Contaminated, and killed the crap out of him. L54 Elite Boss >>>>> L1 Minion, surprise surprise.

Anyway, when this hits Live, if you do not intend to grief other people hunting for Isolator, remember to set your Heavy to Passive or Defensive mode. If you have a Heavy, anyway. Also, controller pets maybe not such a good idea.

/SR has, in fact, got 3 resistance passives: Agile, Dodge, and Lucky. They provide a scaling damage resistance that gets better as you lose HP, like Defiance. It eventually gets to the scrapper resistance cap, if I'm not mistaken, if you have all 3 passives at level 50.

I still run Hasten on auto(character concept is pretty much pure speedster, which is the main reason I still lament the loss of perma-Elude; I miss the travel buff). With three recharges and Quickness, it's not quite perma, but there's little downtime, and with that setup PB is perma(with about 15 seconds overlap) with just the default slot for recharge. Once you hit 22, you should never get knocked around again, at least PvE. Maybe once in a great, great while on full 8-man teams versus mobs with heavy knockback.

In fact, the protection from PB is so good that playing through the game again as my blaster, I'm constantly surprised when I find out that mobs have status effect attacks. (I had no idea what the big deal with Sappers was, for instance, until I started looking for ways to earn my mez badges. And did you know that Ring Mistresses have this horrible attack called Mask of Vitiation? I had never even heard of it until I was playing something other than my SR scrapper.)

The problem I've always had with this stance is that a lot of mobs(I'd say probably 30-40% of the mobs in the game, at least) are designed to be ranged attackers, and they have several ranged attacks which, while less damaging individually than their melee attack, they can fire off in near-constant chains, where they mostly only have one melee attack which they can only fire every so often. A lot of times I prefer closing to melee with my blaster so that the mobs will switch to their single melee attack, and I can usually kill them before they get it off more than twice, where it might take me two or three whole attack chains(theirs) at range. (Also, at melee I can use my very high damage melee and short-range attacks.) Not to mention that most mezzing mobs have their mezzes in either their ranged or their melee attacks, rarely both, and mostly ranged, so by closing to melee you lock them out of their mezzes completely.

They did what now? The only badges that auto-awarded when I2 hit were mission badges, level badges, and some of the TF badges, and the TF badges only awarded if you had the souvenir for them(and that took them like 2 months to datamine). Those were the only things being tracked by the game at the time. Every other badge in the game started at 0, because prior to badges being introduced, they hadn't been tracking any of that information.

It's entirely possible that he wasn't ignoring the slow effect. If he was running Sprint, Swift, and Super Speed, especially if he has more than one Run SO in any of them(certainly a possibility for a Stoner), then he's probably hard capped on speed, and your Slick doesn't drop his speed enough that he's not still at the cap(or not enough to be noticeable in the heat of battle anyway). I think if you could have gotten someone to lay down some Caltrops or another Oil Slick, you would have seen him slow down.

It's like a blaster being at full Defiance, then popping Aim+BU, eating a couple large red candies, and then being given Fortitude, AM, and Assault: At this point he's at, say, 750% damage, hard capped by the system to 500%(I think? Maybe it's 600% for blasters? Whatever). Then he's hit with a 20% damage debuff. He's still at 600% damage, so he's still at the hard cap of 500%, so there's no visible effect.

Same kind of deal with your Oil Slick vs. Super Speed guy. You know. Maybe.

You are correct, Baphomet only spawns in missions, 2 in CoH and 1 in CoV. Also, Baphomet is an Arch-Villain, not a Monster. (Which, when pointed out to him, was what made Positron change the CoV version so that it awards Demonslayer as well. Well, is supposed to, anyway. (And you can apparently petition to get Demonslayer for your villain, if you have defeated Baphomet. On the live servers.))

Just thought I'd point out, Issue 7 added 80 badges to the game, or at least, 80 spaces for badges to the /settitle list. On live the list goes from 0-480, and on Test it goes from 0-560.

Note that these 80 badges do not include stuff like the new exploration badges for RV and Grandville, or the 40-50 villain Accomplishments, the signature villain TF badges, the Patron accolades, the third villain respec trial badges, the 4th villain History badge, etc., that were already coded in the game but simply unavailable. That means 80 new, mostly never-before-seen badges(Task Force Commander is one of the new ones, but people have known about it for a while).

So we have our work cut out for us, is what I'm saying.

There seem to be two different versions of Deathsurge; I've fought him several times, and most of those times he was indeed cake, with no one on the team even getting seriously hurt, but there was this one time I was fighting him and he wiped the floor with us, up, down, sideways, in and out. Three full team wipes before we finally managed to take him down, and most of the team was 35+ and the rest were lackeyed. After the extreme ease of the previous fights with him, it felt like we'd won the whupass lottery.

Brawl never works with any of the inherent powers, except Defiance and Fury(and Domination? Oh, and I guess the PB and WS inherents), which are buffs to your base damage. But Brawl never criticals, doesn't punchvoke, doesn't Scourge, doesn't get Containment, and I'm pretty sure its endurance isn't reduced when your teammates' health is low.

All your other attacks should taunt, though, no matter what set they're from, so if they're not, then yeah, that's probably a bug.

New confirmations for the 4/11/06 patch. Haven't had a chance to test a couple others that have gone live, will do an update later tonight or tomorrow. Notice that they've added 5 spaces to the list. 1 of these is for the new hidden badge that awards with Thorn Robber that's the requirement for unlocking Arbiter Leery as a contact. Two of the others, at a guess, are for the 2nd Anniversary badge and the gladiator you get if you have both. The last two, well, I guess we'll find out.
