So people always use Web Grenade?
And, note, I'm against this idea. It's generally unnecessary. -
To get back to the topic of PRAETORIAN Epics before it was derailed.
Considering an AT with an Assault/Armor set as the Primary/Secondary has been suggested before, I think it would work well for a Syndicate AT, their SMG/DB combo attack set would work well for an Assault set, and they could even branch out into a Melee Oriented Sword Master or a Control Oriented Telekineticest -
Looking stuff up and reading it? That's for chumps! >_>
-
So, I was ToTing earlier when all the sudden I got a treat... that was a tip. A Halloween tip.
Sent me to Praetoria to get the Malleus Mundi from the CoT where they hid it.
Anyone else see any new additions to the Halloween Event? -
I was wondering at what level should I put IOs in?
-
No, you're both wrong. They're good on a technicality, but not for those reasons. They're not villains because other than taking an entirely extreme method of fighting their percieved evil, they don't do any of the stuff villain groups do. They don't rob banks, they don't kidnap civilians, etc.
That doesn't make them heroes, by any stretch of the means. They're vigilantes, not villains. -
The idea that some IOs could have a downside could be useful and people would use them if they were a bit better.
But rather, instead of having the penalties only for the first part, the penalties should be all throughout the set--the penalties, and the rewards, getting better the more you equip.
It would have to be carefully balanced, though. -
Thing about Incarnate powers is... they don't scale below 50.
-
I'm just saying I'd rather the devs work on things that a greater percentage of the playerbase would enjoy.
I mean, what would you rather have? New mission arc, or a weakness? New Praetorian Epic AT, or a weakness? The Incarnate system, or a weakness? -
Stop dodging the question.
Less than 'some' people would use this, I'd say 3-5% max, there's no incentive to use it.
Heck, there's incentive not to use it as it makes the game harder for no reward.
I'd rather the devs work on something we all enjoy rather than just a small benefit to 3-5% of the population, thank you very much. -
Just how many people would even take it were it implemented?
I mean, if it were a popular idea, I could see it, but this could take some time to code and msot people won't even bother because it'd make the game harder with no reward. -
Bah. Nature but not Natural?
That sucks!
Most of my characters are Natural. And have nothing to do with Nature. -
Personally, if they did do the advantage/disadvantage thing, it could easily be balanced in a similar manner to some PnP systems on some games I've played.
Have each disadvantage give you a number of points, and each advantage cost some.
You want to take Ice Res Debuff to get that big shiny advantage because there aren't many Ice Enemies? Well, too bad. Ice -Res Debuff isn't worth as many points because of that, so you've gotta take something else, too! -
Ice is pretty good, yeah. I prefer Primal Forces--Energy Blast/Torrent can be Six Slotted for 7.5% Recharge from Kinetic Crash
-
Personally, I think it should have been the other way around--that is, Morality missions should be like the Loyalist/Resistance choice missions.

Quote:Pshaw. Rikti are poseurs when it comes to war, they have to be tricked into war! Meanwhile we've got people like GG who's hobby is going to war against anything different because it's not the American way.Human Grammar: Outdated Speech method
Rikti Mind link: Superior method
Subject status: Hater: confirming position: Group = Minority
All your base: Status: Belong to us
And don't get me started on the Lineage of War. They're so successful that they've failed. Twice. And they have the technological edge.
Sucks to be Rikti.
Kids today with their leet rikti speak. Back in my we didn't have any fancy VEATs, or any fancy IOs, all we had were SOs affected by ED and dag nabbit we loved it! -
/Traps, /Poison, /Dark, /Therm, even /Trick Arrow has -Regen
-
Hate to burst your bubble, but Rikti won't happen. At least, not in the way you want it.
It has to be human, or at least more humanoid than the deformed Rikti.
I mean, costume customization is one of the biggest features of the game, the devs know this. It wouldn't be possible with the Rikti without a bunch of exrra work. -
Am I the only one that hates Rikti Speak?
It's like leet speak... only grammatically incorrect. -
If I went with Primal Forces Mastery, how good is power boost?
I mean, does Power Boost affect Spooky, the Decoys, and the Phantasm? It could give Flash and EM Pulse the extra punch they need to really hold almost anything, it could enhance the debuff on Rad Infection and Enervating Field, and particularly Lingering Radiation as that ones only a click, and with the amount of +Rech that the build has (215%), I can have Power Boost in there literally half the time with a couple of Rech IOs in it.
If it's powerful enough, it may even make Choking Cloud useful, but that would be a stretch.
Edit: In fact, could Power Boost increase some Spectral Damage? The damage from SW is listed primarily as High DMG(Psionic) with a secondary +Special, and PB says it increases all secondary effects. -
While playing through some vigilante mission where I take out a 5th Column base, I found a computer unrelated to the mission with an interesting tidbit on it.
The 5th Column have been trying to rebuild the Tin Mage, one of the NPCs giving a TF in i19. While the computer clue said that they were unsuccessful, it made me think...
Anyone else found anything in the new content in game that could possibly hint at stuff for the next issue?
Edit: Whoops, wrong board for this. Meant to post it on City Life, oh well. -
Personally, I think a 'Flaw' system would be neat.
That is, on character creation, you can pick a bonus, either a boost to Recovery, Regen, Max HP/Stam, or maybe even a new ability or Resistance/Defense buff, but at the cost of a flaw tied to the bonus. Hampered Regen/Recov, Slower Recharge, maybe even a permanent -20% Res/Def debuff to a particular element.
