It stacks nicely. So with invul you can get 25-35 resistance to Fire/cold/Neg/Eng/Toxic w/ really nice typed defence to boot. Defensive with 1 mob engaged is 45.45 l/s, 42.32 Fire/cold and 31.70 neg/eng. With Invul Saturated and Soul Mastery debuff is a over kill but hey.
Nice thing about going with high positional is you get that against psi. I rely on the positional and darkest night for Psi and they are trival.

Note: Not all psi attacks have a positional component. Mind Control and Illusion Control powers are notorious for this.

It stacks nicely. So with invul you can get 25-35 resistance to Fire/cold/Neg/Eng/Toxic w/ really nice typed defence to boot. I think it is more efficient to work on s/l defense, you can get high level of mitigation with both resistance and defense.

I agree. OP asked what the max resist could be and I took it as a math problem. It is definitely better to go for more defense as it is cheaper and Invuln as a set has both already. Layered mitigation is always better IMO.

Gone for both types for the layered approach which you recommendJust trying to see if can get anything else into resist, to give it that little bit extra. I would work on positional def where possible, hence why gone for Melee def first as going to be in that situatio more often than not...

Thanks, looks like you can slot them for the resist/def bonus without being in PVP
Only problem now is... Have you seen the cost of the Gladiator Rec?? 500Mil phew... Shield Wall is at 100Mil at present also OUCH

Presently using Fire Melee on my Brute, and loving it, the damage is very good, very nice seeing all those orange numbers!

After about a days worth of building my Super Strength/Invuln sitting at the Black Market crafting, buying, selling I was finishing up IO'n out my Brute sitting at 77% S/L Res.
Before slotting my Shield Wall: Teleportation Protection , +Res(All) I was thinkin' I would be sitting at 80% S/L Res.
I fell short at 79.25% wondering what the deal was. I opened my Combat Attribute window to find that the proc was really 2.25% and not 3% like the description indicated.
I'm sure .75% isn't gonna make a world of difference but kinda borked such a thing that costs a pretty infamy that you dont get what you pay for.
Just askin' if I missed something somewhere that it was a typo and if it was intended or what...
My toon isn't quite complete until I get my +maxhp and +maxend as its been about 4 weeks since I got him to 50 and the Gladiator's Armor: Teleportation Protection , +Def(All) recipe. Which I heard from others that this grants +3% Defense.

Quick question, whats the highest anyone has been able to get the Smash/Lethal Resist in a Invul Brute?

A few things,
-Your AoE defense is low, fill out your 2 Blessing of The Zephyr sets to raise it
-This would then make Acrobatics a waste, so you can drop it and
-Take Oppressive Gloom (by swapping out Acro or Soul Transfer)
-Spines Burst will benefit WAAAYYY more from the Armageddon's than Quills, you'll get more from the proc, and be able to control when it fires.
-Cloak of Fear has hideously low Accuracy, so you may want to beef that up by putting in the Kismet unique somewhere (CJ?)
-And finally you WILL be constantly looking for Endurance, so 4 slot Stamina, and include the Performance Shifter Proc
On a side note, the benefits you get from Purples on Spines Dark aren't as big as many other builds, (especially if you get the Obliterations first) so if cost is an issue, I'd make the Ragnaroks the first to go (Positrons Blast is comparable anyway)

Decided to make a Spines/Dark Scrapper and would like some help with the build, have thrown something together for people with experience playing Scrappers to advise me on do's and do nots... Have looked at survival with trying to get the resist's & Def's up, so can jump in to mobs and survive while the AoEs do there thing!

Thanks for the feedback, wasn't that sure what to aim for with the build to be honest, bit of everything in there... Wanted to see what I had done ok with and of course what I have done wrong!
Done some reading on the D3 and its main strength it seems to me is the -acc buff, so would I need to add to that or is it good to go straight off and look at improving as you have mentioned end recov or end max? -
Need some advise regarding a D3 build I have put togther, never played a Defender before, so any and all advise greatfully recieved.

I agree on this, but sure I have seen a list of events for the year and it was stated there, for it to take place! But can't remember where to find the list... -
